I was hooked by this book as soon as I saw the cover. It's an eerie read, following 12 yr old Jamie and his older brother Liam and Dad (Sarge).
They are a family of thieves, criss crossing the UK, stealing whatever they can and selling it onto scrap dealers etc. Jamie hates the life, never staying anywhere long enough to go to school for any longer than a term (or usually much less). If anyone asks, he tells them he is home-schooled. But the only things his dad is teaching him is how to be tough and how to steal. Luckily for Jamie, Liam looks out for him.

When they get word of a 'job' in a village called Alderston they head off in their removal van. When they arrive they have a cold draughty house to stay in. At least it's a break from sleeping in the van.
But it's right next door to the village graveyard, and this is where much of the story is set.
Alderston has secrets and Jamie learns a few of them from Keeley, a young, defiant, village goth girl. Grave robbers, ghosts and murder soon fill their lives and even try and take them....

Another great Tom Becker novel for fans of the creepy.

WOW!
I really enjoyed this book soooo much, I should have picked it up sooner instead of leaving the book on my bookshelf for a long time. When I was reading it the start was a bit boring and nothing grabbed me, but when I got to the storyline at the same time I was getting Stephen King novel from the book because of the story line, the characters and the Halloween vibe from it. I really enjoyed it, it kept me guessing throughout the story I was trying to figure out who were the grave robbers in the story, the secrets the town of Alderson were hiding, the characters (Jamie, Liam and Sarge) and the book was less than 300 pages long which I also enjoyed. The murder mystery book was quick to the point, I was also surprised by how easy it was to follow because I hate books that are confusing especially with murder mystery books. Overall I enjoyed the book and I can' t wait to read more books from Tom Becker it was a 4.5 stars.

....Nothing can stay buried forever....
The premise of the story is 12 yr Jamie his brother Liam and their dad Sarge are thieves, they steal whatever they can and go their own way. Those are their rules until they found themselves in this town Alderston for some business that seems shady from the beginning and things go downhill from there. Everyone in Alderston seems to have a secret which just adds on to the eerie feeling the town gives off.
This was quite an interesting read. It had some not so intense plot twists, some you could tell but most of them just come at you which makes it the more interesting. One thing that i liked but also frustrated me was how Tom took his time to give me the answers i needed which just made Afterwalkers a page-turner.
I enjoyed every minute of Afterwalkers and it's a definite recommendation.

This book was Brilliant! It had a really good storyline with plenty of interesting characters and twists and turns. The ending, I have to say, was really well thought out and brilliantly done. Would recommend to a friend. The only problem was I didn’t really bond with the characters and at the middle of the book it did turn quite boring.

The book is really great! I loved reading the book. The author has described the incidents well. There is some twists which makes us want to continue the story. It is jut not horror but a suspense genre for me. I suggest horror lovers to read this book.

Happy reading!

This book introduced me to Tom Becker and I was amazed. Like other books I couldn't put it down even though I wanted to so I had more to read later. It was just my type of book - dark and mysterious. I loved every word and it all played to produce some fantastic imagery. I felt like I could feel what the characters were feeling and it was a roller coaster. I adored every twist and turn there was and I wish it wasn't just a library book and that I could own it myself. A book that's dark and mysterious is hard to find for me and to find one with such quality is amazing. I just can't express how much I loved this book!
