The King's Curse and the Summer Son

Rate this book
When a prince kills a child a Kingdom falls under the shadow of a distraught mother's curse. Meanwhile a woodcutter's motherless son plants acorns that grow to large oak trees within seasons.
Two wars, thousands of deaths, and a divided kingdom later, a beautiful witch not only saves the King's life but promises to lift the curse she placed. Tempted by revelations of everlasting glory, ruthless King Morten relishes the pursuit of an enchanting lowborn woman he believes is destined to be his Queen.
Yet to win and hold her heart, the King knows he must destroy the man SHE loves. To do so he enlists the unlikely help of a 12-year-old pageboy. Yet nothing - and no one - is quite what they appear and Morten is totally unprepared for the bizarre chain of events his actions will unleash.

I loved this book and can't wait for the next in the series. I love the multiple plots with fully formed characters and setting.
