This book was great! It is such a contrast to so many other books out there explaining all the terrible things that happen because our kids are so connected to the digital world. There were definitely parts of this book where I thought I don't entirely agree with that. However this book explains why it is so important we do not completely cut our children off from the social aspects of technology, how to balance this and how to keep the safe while connected. After listening to this book I will be safely introducing more connectivity for my children to keep them connected with their friends throughout the school holidays. I read this as an audio book and it was an easy and enjoyable read, one I will come back to when my kids are older again for a refresh.

I found the book really practical and helpful. The author breaks down kids' behavior by age and explains why they use tech in the ways they do at each age, challenges parents often have to deal with for each age and then explains exactly how to fix it. She talks about brain development and matches that to tech design. My kid comes home from school every day and just runs straight to the screen and I've been really struggling with that. This was in the book- it helped me understand why he does this, and it showed me exactly what to do. It's been really good,. Recommend the book to parents.
