Two Omegas is a Party, but is Three a Crowd?

As a professional matchmaker working for the family business Cosmic Bonds, I spend my days fixing other people’s love lives with star charts, personality assessments, and lots of sass. I had my family, an amazing job, and my life partner, West, a male omega. West and I had been together for years, and if dating alphas was harder because they tried to play us off each other, it just meant they weren’t the alphas for us. But when a blind alpha sound producer and his male omega singer/guitarist come to be matched, I have to remind myself that I don’t date clients. No matter how delicious they smelled, or the fact that they loved music as much as I did. And then a sexy alpha chef woos West and I through food and soft touches. Dating is hard enough, but blending two packs? Crazy talk.

Except somehow as we all start dating, life clicks into place. Having more than one nest is a dream, having two other omegas understand my need for even more pillows, stuffed animals, and blankets is validating. And two alphas spoiling us rotten? Every omega’s dream. But just as I start to let my guard down, someone begins to stalk me. Leaving me odd text messages. Following me. Destroying my nest. If I’m not careful, the fragile new life I was building with my pack could slip through my fingers. Being a matchmaker means I bring packs together for a living, but what happens when it’s my own on the line?

Cosmic Ember is a contemporary sweet omegaverse. It’s part of series of standalones that can be enjoyed on it's own, but you'll notice favorite characters making appearances throughout the series.

*The pack includes an alpha chef, a blind alpha sound producer, a guitarist male omega, and a male omega computer programmer who are all smitten for their female omega.

“Still pushing the duck pond agenda?”
“Picture it. Your tai chi class in front of a beautiful turtle pond, the gentle sound of water helping you balance everyone’s chi.”

The way Ember was originally pushing a turtle pond for her to randomly start calling it a duck pond and then someone else does the same. Does it not matter if it’s for ducks or turtles? Can they both live there? It’s super confusing and leads me to pause every time.

The stalker was obvious and the fact that they didn’t know until it was too late is insane. These are smart people. This turn of events was really dumb.

The pacing was off for the entire book and the ending with the stalker was rushed. Overall it was fine, but not as good as the other books.

There was a lot in the middle that went on a tad too long and then the bonding and learning about West’s past was too short and quick. But it was good.

4.5⭐️

This was such an enjoyable and impactful read. Ember and West have a soul deep bound and they’ve been each other’s rock as they traverse the rocky terrain of their trauma. Watching them find and fall for the individuals who will become their pack is beautiful and relatable. We all come into new relationships shaped by both the good and the bad moments of our lives. It’s easy to hold yourself back in fear, but every individual in this pack takes the other where they are full of acceptance and without judgement.

I will say that I was most taken by the way disability was handled in this story. I’m not someone who lives with visual impairment (so I can’t speak to that accuracy) but I appreciated how Mira addressed how the world views those of us having to navigate a world not readily equipped for us. Ableism is rampant because many have no experience with having limitations based on society’s structure. Ben should not be applauded for living in his own body and having to adapt to make it accessible. Nor should it be a defining characteristic of who is as a whole or his worth in the world. I’m always excited to see disability representation in books especially when it is done with respect and care.

I have loved all the books in this series. This one may not be my FAVORITE of the group but I still enjoyed it.

Ember is the cousin who survived the devastating plane crash years ago (it was brought up in book 1) so although she's handled it well, the trauma does still peek out every so often. She works on the tech side of things in the family business alongside her roommate and lover (another omega). TBH I adore stories with two omegas! (M/F omega pairings) and Ember was great about making sure they would both be included in any potential packs.

West is the sous chef and has been sending food to them for a couple of years even though they've never met (so really...slowly courting them). And in true Mira Kane Cosmic Bonds series fashion, there's even more random people to add to the love fest! Mira does a great job melding characters from a variety of places, which is a nice change of pace from the more typical already established pack.

Loved Ember and Her Pack!

Ember’s book was so sweet and good but with more drama than her family had had so far.

This romance was angsty from start to finish. Ember with her fear of losing people she loves. West and his fear of being hurt by Alphas. And Rian with his fear of being too moody. But between the three of them and their two sweet alphas, their fear doesn’t stand a chance.

This book will have you laughing, swooning, and randomly crying. Basically you’ll be getting all the feels. Especially when that drama comes knocking.

It wasn't a bad book, but I got bored about 1/2 thru. The pack came together fairly fast and then the book became their day-to-day activities followed by nonstop sex. And I have to say, I have read a lot of OM and Why Choose and even I had trouble picturing the scenario and who was where. It became almost too much at one time and the scenes were lengthy. I also knew who the bad guy was right from the start so there was zero mystery, and it didn't add anything to the story. I wish the author would have let the relationship build a little more and give us more with her family.

This was very interesting - especially having three omegas and two alphas. Read this because I was curious how the characters would navigate that, and over all it was pretty good. It's fairly light hearted in all the relationships. One of the alphas is blind and that's always representation that's nice to see, especially how he's shown to be fully capable of doing pretty much everything normally. The guys fall hard and fast for her, and she does the same. The ending drama was a bit meh for me, I didn't really like that it played out that way, but overall this was good.

another great book on the series

Let me start off that I love this series and look forward to the rest of the family getting their HEA. This book had more drama than the others which I absolutely loved. I love the characters and the respect they all for one another. I will say however that the ending felt rushed. Like I needed something else at the end instead of where it ended. I still loved it and can’t not wait for the rest

The love and spice in this book was incredibly perfect, I am so excited to finally get a book with 3 omegas and the dynamics between all 5 pack members was ideal in every way for me. Loved it so much

A beautiful story

As always, Mira Kane delivers a sexy, beautiful and heartfelt story of pack love.
I can never get enough of coming alongside of the characters she creates and walking with them through their journeys of self-acceptance, peace and telling anxiety who’s boss.
Go read the rest of her stuff because it’s just as good.

3.5 ⭐️ rounded up. This was a long, kind of slow burn (by omegaverse standards), cosy read. It was sweet. There was also pretty good character development for an omegaverse. I don’t know what it needed more of. It was tepid but I can’t really pinpoint what would have helped. The stalker was waaaaaay too obvious.

My kryptonite is 2 omegas in a pack so this one having 3? I didn’t know that was even an option. I liked the story and the seeing the connections being built between each of the pack members.
