4.5 stars - loved this! This is by far the most beautiful enneagram book I’ve seen. The illustrations and colors are incredible. The author does a great job with giving short descriptions and insights about each type and also creates space throughout for journaling and personal discovery (which I haven’t seen in any other enneagram book). Very enjoyable read!

Hi! I’m the author of this guided journal 👋🏼 . It’s the book I wish I had when I first learned about the Enneagram. I needed it to be three things: accessible, fun (because life’s too short), and also USEFUL. Because what’s the point of knowing your Enneagram type is it doesn’t help you grow? It’s full of prompts and exercises to help you apply what you learn and grow in real life. Thank you for checking it out, and I’ll leave the rest of this page to readers. ♥️

A gorgeous, concise, to-the-point Enneagram guide. The first time I've teared up about a description of my type in a decade. I got my copy and tore through it non-stop. Excited for the next go-round.

Let me start by saying I love Abbey Howe’s YouTube channel, and her content has been my favorite enneagram resource since I learned about the enneagram several years ago. Because of this, I was SO EXCITED when she announced that she had written a book, that I was disheartened to have to wait the short time for it to come out! Although I don’t know her personally, I felt so proud when my copy arrived and I got to hold it in my hands; what an incredible accomplishment. And upon reading it through, it surpassed my expectations.

Firstly, the obvious, this book is so cute. The design is beautiful and inviting. The illustrations are gorgeous and a perfect supplement to the book; they fit Abbey Howe’s lively lighthearted voice perfectly. Although I know my type (4, for those curious), this book allowed for me to see myself in all of the types, which is the hallmark of a great enneagram resource, understanding others’ perspectives. The book has proven itself to be a truly thought-provoking and a thoroughly enjoyable read.

One of the things I found to be incredible about this book is the fresh take it provides on the enneagram, a difficult thing to do with how much enneagram content exists in the world. There are many enneagram books, but none quite like this one. This book has a character to it like nothing I’ve seen before. Her perspective provides moments of inspired genius where aspects of the enneagram are described and explained better and more accurately/clearly than I’ve seen anywhere else. Her voice is unparalleled. I would gladly consume any content she creates.

It is for these reasons that I am DYING at the fact that they required her to streamline her book by leaving out the subtypes descriptions; I want so badly to read about them from her perspective!! Maybe she could write a sequel for more intermediate/advanced enneagram enthusiasts? One can only hope. Until then, I am more than content with the lovely piece of art that is this book. She said she wrote this book to be what she would have wanted when she first got into the enneagram, and she was so right, this is exactly that book for me, as well. 5 stars.

I received my book and delved straight into it even though i was in the middle of a different book. I had struggled with knowing my ennegram. When i first discovered it I thought i was probably a Type 2, after watching a few videos and reading more about it i thought maybe i was a type 9 because i struggled so much and than i identified with a lot of the traits of a type 1! So i said yep im a type 1 because i love the idea of being morally good. I stuck with it even if somethings didnt make sense for my personality. It was the one i liked so thats the one i chose. Well after doing the first quiz i got zeros in both the instinctive and feeler and all five for the Thinker! I honestly thought meh Abbey must be wrong cos theres no way! Than i did the second quiz. I actually got zero 1 answers and zero 9 answers. I was questioning it all especially since i got 6 in Type 6. That was most definitely not on my radar. In fact it always made me very uncomfortale but yep it makes sense. I very much recommend this book

First, let me just say that this book is so esthetically pleasing! The layout and pictures and design of each page is somehow both energizing and calming. But even apart from that, this book is a treasure. Ome thing that sets it apart from other Enneagram books is that you can journal in the pages throughout your journey of growth - both personal and interpersonal. My favorite section was probably the Love Others Better part, where you learn how to show love to each type differently. Everyone needs that help.

This book is perfect for beginners, great for those who know a decent amount but not everything, and even still helpful for experts of the Enneagram. There is something for everyone. Learning about the Enneagram never was so fun or looked so cool!

I have been a fan of Abbey Howe's YouTube channel for years! This book is so much fun to read, especially with all the cool illustrations! The reason I'm rating the book 4 stars, however, is that while the book requires some conversations with friends and family in the hopes of self-discovery, it's not easy to explain the Enneagram to everyone. This book can't be finished in one sitting. The writing exercises will take time and not everyone will find that a win. Of course, I plan to take my sweet time with the writing exercises. As an author, I also think this book can help me with getting to know my characters!

Sincerely, Monique, a Type 4.

Great book whether you’re new to the enneagram or have been studying it for years. I love the workbook pages that I can go back and reference when I want to. This book was easy to understand, exceptionally thorough, and offered a fun insight to all the types in a colorful and visually appealing way. It also helped me to finally lock in my core enneagram type despite researching it for years and taking numerous tests. That alone should’ve told me what my type was, but this book really sealed the deal. 5 stars!

I have been watching Abbey Howe’s funny YouTube videos about The Enneagram for years so I preordered her book and I’m so glad I did! It has the same lighthearted and compassionate approach as her videos but then takes it so much further with quizzes, journaling, and real life stories accompanied by super high quality illustrations.

Beyond that, the later chapters gently hold your hand and show you practical ways to improve your life and your relationships. I know that I will be referring to it for years to come.

I do judge a book by its cover and this one is a STAND OUT! I am glad I did ! This book is full of useful knowledge and information of not only finding what your enneagram type is but how to in a fun way better understand on how to thrive in your life. I love that the author includes not only a quiz to help you identify your type but also helpful prompts to dig deeper! I am a visual person and the format of the book is perfect and keeps it interesting and doesn't feel like a dragging workbook but a fun journey in finding more about the enneagram.

I really liked the tips on burnout and relaxing and profiles for each type. The first test was okay; it helped me narrow down the possibilities. But the second test just confused me more because it was too open-ended. I talked to a friend who has figured out her type and decided to try the same thing: talking to ChatGPT and making it ask me questions about different situations. It helped much more.
