Changer d'altitude

Rate this book

It is a book which offers a global approach from different perspectives: Mr Piccard brings in his experience as an explorer with his solar plane, his first manned flight around the world, adds his experiences as a psychologist and also broaches borderline experiences as a hypnotist , apart from his mindful reflectiuons about religion and spirituality.
Piccard himself says: '... the subject is life, communication, autohypnosis, crisis management, and spirituality, all from the angle of the different altitudes and visions of the world that give you more freedom to think and act. He finishes by saying that he enjoyed writing this book.
This is definitely the impression I had after finishing reading this book. Hat off. It is a thorough success and an absolute must for those people who are willing to progress in their life and who are keen to interact with their Team members, work colleagues and their life patrners.

It is a book whose reading calms down because it rests on a fundamental principle: to let go in front of any difficulties, not to try to go against adversity but to go in the same direction so you do not waste your energy.
The letting go makes it possible to distance itself from a situation and to apprehend it by changing angle of view, effective tool to be released and to be more lucid.
Beyond the philosophical message, the path of the scientist and ecologist is exciting. His work ends with the principle of "ecohumanity": beautiful neologism, in which I find myself totally, a humanistic and responsible ecologist.
A reading that makes you feel good and does good to the intellect and the soul that I warmly recommend.
A book that I keep precisely because there is no doubt that it will go a long way with me. And if my modest ticket can help some of you ...

A thorough book on the power of our psyche: How to revell in the acceptance of the uncontrollable, how to unravel the hidden resources of our minds, how to work with grief and why the doctrin of science can and should be regarded as coexisting with the spiritual world.
Absolutely fascinating and deeply personal.
For me this book came to exactly the right point in my life, with just the right perspective... Truely enlighting.

The winds and hot balloons as metaphor of the changes we all encounter in our lifetime. The high and the low and the way to fly thru the wind of change!

Bonne lecture
