4.5 stars!!

Narration by Duncan Cole & June Deborahae! This one was good. My first narration by both of them and I absolutely loved it!

This was such a great listen!! I love the little town of whispers! When can I move in?! 😅

Nikki and Sutton were just perfect! Both dealing with secrets & hiding from things in their past, but they find a way to trust and lean on each other. This one was had me laughing, swooning, feeling so deeply for these characters! Nikki’s protectiveness over James & the love she had for him, just had my heart!

Samantha Skye absolutely knows how to write a dirty mouth MMC! The spice in this was delicious!!!

I was so hooked on their story & loved the added suspense this one gave me!! Definitely recommend this book & rest of the billionaires of whispers series!!

ALC Review

Samantha Skye delivers yet another banger from the wonderful town of Whispers! At this point, call me a permanent resident as I, too, have a mansion on Billionaire Boulevard!

Earlier in the series, Sutton was first introduced as Sawyer's younger brother, holywood movie star and notorius ladies man. However, when he posted half naked pictures on his social media to promote the goat's milk soap for his brother's girlfriend, I instantly knew there was more to him than meets the eye. When he later asked his brother to help him flee Hollywood and hide out in Whispers, I was almost feral to get to his story!

Insert Nikki (Charlotte), the quiet and mysterious waitress at the diner who tries to make herself small and unassuming due to her own past, yet she captivates Sutton's attention the moment he lays eyes on her. Nikki is on the run with her younger brother, and their need to stay hidden is literally a matter of life or death. Sutton has become overwhelmed with the media scrutiny and endless demands of life in Hollywood. Two strangers who appear to be total opposites, develop a mutual trust with one another based solely on their shared need for privacy and anonymity.

One of my favorite elements of this story is that even though Nikki is aware of who Sutton is, she doesn't let his fame dictate the way she treats him. And as Sutton gets to know and develop feelings for Nikki, his wealth is never a focal point in their relationship. In fact, he knows how much she values green living and sustainability, and he goes out of his way to make sure every gift he gives her is intentional, practical, and leaves little to no carbon footprint. I honestly had to keep reminding myself that he is, in fact, a billionaire.

Nikki's little brother James( Preston) stole my heart, and he might be the smartest 10 year old who ever existed! He was forced to endure so much trauma that culminated to him being on the run and pretending his older sister is his mom! Through it all, he never complained as they struggled to make ends meet, he remained studious and excelled in school, all while keeping their true identities a secret from the world. I was in awe of that kid from start to finish and the bond he soon developed with Sutton as his older brother had me sobbing by the end!

As far as the audiobook, Duncan and June were the perfect narrators who truly embodied the characters of Sutton and Nikki. Their performances felt earnest and genuine and I truly love that all of these books were recorded in duet narration.

Throughout this story I laughed, I cried, and even started to let doubt creep in of reaching a HEA, because the obstacles started to seem too hard to overcome. By the end, I found myself crying even harder because how dare I give up on these two; their love was a constant force in a world full of uncertainty.

The Hollywood heartthrob and the diner girl...the most unlikely pairing, who's story seemed to have been written in the stars!

Sutton by Samantha Skye is the latest addition to The Billionaires of Whispers series, blending small-town romance with suspense. And she hit the one out of the park!! Once you start reading it, you won’t stop. It’s that good!

Nikki’s past involves secrets that slowly unfold throughout the story, keeping you intrigued the entire time.

Sutton of course has his own battles to face, deciding if he wants to stay in the spot light or give it up for the small town of Whispers and the woman and little boy that stole his heart. Not to mention the fact he wants to overcome an allergy to fulfill her dreams shows just how perfect he is.

Sutton is a sweet, slow-burn romance filled a satisfying journey toward love and self-discovery.

And don’t forget the spice, when it hits, it HITS!

Sutton by Samantha Skyes is book five in The Billionaires of Whispers and it delivers a soft, yet emotional small-town romance wrapped around a protective movie star hero and a heroine learning how to stop running from her past. This story leans heavily into comfort, healing, and the feeling of finally finding a place and a person who feels like home.

Sutton Silvers is a famous actor, but instead of coming across as arrogant or larger than life, he feels grounded and genuine. In Whispers he is not treated like a celebrity, and he clearly prefers it that way. Watching him settle into the rhythm of small-town life was one of the most enjoyable parts of the book. He is patient, attentive, and quietly devoted from the very beginning. Rather than overwhelming Nikki, he gives her space while still making it clear she matters to him. He is protective without being controlling, and his affection shows up in small, consistent actions instead of grand gestures.

Nikki carries a heavy past and lives carefully, structured around routine and safety. Her fear of being seen and truly known drives much of the emotional tension. The romance builds slowly because trust must come first. Sutton does not try to fix her life; he simply stays. That steady presence becomes the heart of the story and makes their relationship believable. Their connection feels gentle but intense, built on emotional intimacy more than physical attraction.

The danger element adds a layer of suspense without overpowering the romance. It reinforces the central theme of choosing to stop surviving and start living. The conflict is less about drama between them and more about whether she can let herself accept love and security after everything she has experienced. Sutton’s willingness to risk his career and his carefully constructed life for her makes the emotional payoff satisfying.

The Whispers setting continues to be a highlight of the series. The town feels warm and lived in, with familiar characters weaving naturally into the story. There is a strong found family element, and it enhances the emotional depth, especially as the heroine slowly allows herself to belong.

Sutton is a comforting, heartfelt installment that focuses on healing, trust, and quiet devotion. Readers who enjoy protective heroes, small town settings, and romances where emotional safety matters just as much as passion will really enjoy this one.

I received an Advanced Listener Copy from Valentine PR, and I’m voluntarily leaving this review.

Listen… if you’ve been in Whispers before, you already know this town stays ready to adopt a broken man and hand him a second chance. And Sutton? Oh, he needed it BAD.

Fresh off a Hollywood scandal he didn’t even cause, Sutton runs to Whispers to hide from the paparazzi, the chaos, and the nonsense. And the town does what it always does — wraps him up like a weighted blanket and tells the world to mind its business.

Then he walks into the diner… and sees her.

His Tinkerbell.

🎧 Narration
Duncan Cole gives Sutton that perfect “I’m tired of fame but still fine as hell” energy, and June Deborahea nails the heroine’s mix of brilliance, anxiety, and quiet strength. Together, they make the story feel intimate, emotional, and just messy enough to be believable.

✨ The Setup
She’s brilliant — MIT‑brilliant — introverted, and always with her “son.”
(We’re putting that in quotes because… well… if you know, you know. And if you don’t, you’ll find out.)

She’s hiding.
He’s hiding.
And somehow, they still manage to find each other in the middle of all that fear.

💛 The Romance
This love story is soft, sweet, and surprisingly spicy. Sutton falls for her FAST — like, “finishes in his pants because he’s .......overwhelmed” fast. And honestly? I respect the enthusiasm.

He calls her Tinkerbell because she drops random facts like it’s her love language.
He builds up a tolerance to bees — BEES !!!!!!....because she loves them.
He’s out here planning future honey farms like it’s nothing.

Meanwhile, her “son” is the new kid in town, and Sutton immediately steps in like the world’s gentlest giant. He helps him settle in, protects them both, and becomes exactly what they didn’t even know they needed.

🐝 The Intrigue
There’s a layer of danger humming under everything secrets, people searching, pasts creeping up but it never steals the spotlight. It just keeps the tension tight and the pages turning. And yes, the breadcrumbs for the next book are sprinkled very intentionally.

💫 Final Thoughts
This is easily one of my favorites in the series.
Tanner still holds the crown, but Sutton slid right into second place with no hesitation.

The way he gives up the glamorous life for something quiet and real… the way they protect each other… the way their love grows in the middle of chaos… it’s just chef’s kiss.

Sweet. Tender. A little spicy. And full of heart.

Bring on the next installment I’m ready.

Sutton by Samantha Skye - ALC

Samantha Skye has done it again!

I spent the whole 11 hours 3 minutes dreaming of being in Whispers.

Enter …. Sutton Silvers he is the most adorable of hot messes, and honestly, I related to his "please everyone just leave me alone” energy on a spiritual level. He’s proper famous…. and so deeply burnt out, so naturally he does the only logical thing: hides in Whispers!
He’s not looking for romance; quite the opposite actually, he’s just looking for a place where his face isn't on a billboard at every turn. Then he meets Nikki, who couldn't care less about him being fancy and famous…. And that promptly lights the fire in his big burnt out heart.

Sutton isn’t a big in your face flashy and full of drama. It is a quiet creep straight into your soul. It’s the kind of book that feels like a snuggly warm weighted blanket on a cold day, and what more could you want!

Sutton sees Nikki’s heart… he knows that he can’t win her by doing the “man thing” and trying to force his way in to fix everything, or some big over the top grand gesture…. Hes just there. He’s the calm peaceful bay while she’s navigating a storm. Also, the man is literally allergic to bees, so naturally he becomes fully invested in beekeeping because it’s important to Nikki. If risking a life threatening allergic reaction doesn’t just scream "he falls harder," I don’t know what does.

Now let’s talk about the audiobook narration… Duncan Cole sounds so emotionally exhausted and tender voicing Sutton, I couldn’t do anything else while I listened. That GROWL…… Lordy! That GROWL! Duncan that should be illegal my good sir! I had a full blown crash out listening to this. June DeBorahae gives a wonderful performance as Nikki as well.

Sutton is without a doubt a slow-burn, low-stress, five-star hug of a story. It’s just two people in a small town slowly deciding that being known by one person is better than being famous to everyone else.

Tropes:
• Small-town romance
• Celebrity hiding from fame
• Slow burn
• Found family
• Quiet yearning
• Low angst, high comfort
• He falls first & hard

This is another great book from Samantha Skye.
We have another romance blossoming in the small town of Whispers this time between Hollywood movie star and heart throb Sutton Silvers and Nikki/Charlotte who is now a waitress, but is really the daughter to a wealthy oil tycoon.
Nikki(who was Charlotte in her old life)..she is hiding in the town of Whispers with her brother James(real name Preston). They are running from a threat a woman who wants them gone.
They are living a quiet simple life, they are financially struggling, she works in the Diner and James is in school. But they have to make the best of what they have, then she catches the eye of SUTTON.Sutton is also hiding from his glamorous life, the craziness of L.A. and the Paparazzi he needs the break,he isn't happy and feels he has no control over his own life anymore. He is staying with his Brother Sawyer and the waitress in the Diner captivates him.
Nikki is so brave going from riches to rags in a heartbeat to protect her brother and so she is very cautious even with Sutton at first.
Sutton is all kinds of swoon..he just says all the right things all of the time..he treats James like he is his own little brother, and becomes so protective of Nikki. The lengths he goes to just to ensure Nikki and James remain hidden and safe, made my heart flutter he goes above and beyond.
They earn eachothers trust and soon lust and passion take over and they give into their obvious attraction...burning up the bedroom and setting fire to the sheets.!!
But Nikki's past is always there lingering in the background threatening to ruin everything they are building together...and it might be Sutton's lifestyle that could expose them.
Narration to this story is by June Deborahae and Duncan Cole is purely Amazing, they carry this story beautifully.Portraying Sutton and Nikki with great emotion and they do some great accents.I thoroughly enjoyed listening to them both.
Samantha Skye's writing was compelling and the storyline was exciting and I enjoyed it,there were some surprises too, for me any way.
Sutton is a fabulous Audiobook full of spice, emotion, drama and romance.
Loved it.

This book left me with a major book hangover….. the kind where you're wandering around your real life wishing you could just slip straight into Whispers and never come back. I’m genuinely not okay. I want to live in that town, befriend the diner regulars, drink Whiteman’s Whiskey and soak in every ounce of that protective, tight-knit community energy.

From page one, the story just pulls you in. The writing is so immersive and captivating that it feels less like reading and more like being dropped right into the middle of this town where everyone loves fiercely and guards their own. And Sutton… wow. He falls so hard and so fast that you can practically feel the impact.

His protectiveness, his devotion, the way he sees Nikki (aka. Tinkerbell) like she’s worth every risk, made my heart do a full somersault. And honestly, every man in Whispers shares that same bone deep loyalty. The whole town banding together to shield them? I lived for it.

And then there’s the bee thing. The fact that Sutton gets venom immunotherapy just so he can be near something she loves? That’s not just romance, that’s “I’m already planning our future” energy. Total puddle on the floor moment.

The drama and suspense kept the story humming without overshadowing the romance, and SPICE. And the audiobook? Absolute perfection. Duncan Cole is officially my new favourite voice to listen to and June Deborahae’s fake southern belle accent in chapter three had me cracking up. It added such a fun spark.

And then!!!!!!! The Griffin teaser at the end? I’m feral. I need that man’s book immediately. The moment it ended, I felt that little ache of I’m not done with this world.

Sam, your writing is exceptional. The way you build tension, warmth, longing, humour, and community all at once is honestly magic. You create characters that feel real and irresistibly lovable. Thank you for crafting a world I’m desperate to crawl inside and never leave. Please never stop writing! My heart is fully invested.

Sutton & Diner Girl
Samantha Skye has this uncanny ability to deliver a story that’s both emotionally charged and pulse‑tightening, and somehow she raises the bar every single time. My expectations weren’t just high going in — they were practically orbiting — and she still managed to exceed them.
I read this one alongside the ARC audio, and it was such an incredible way to experience the story. The duet narration by June DeBorahae and Duncan Cole was outstanding. Both were new to me, and both brought Sutton and Nikki to life with so much nuance. June captures Nikki’s blend of sharp intelligence, quiet vulnerability, and instinctive protectiveness with such tenderness. Duncan leans into Sutton’s curiosity and devotion beautifully — his performance is this perfect mix of pining, patience, and gentle strength. Together, they made the characters feel so vivid and real.
She’s running, he’s hiding, and somehow they meet in that fragile middle ground where trust can take root. Watching Nikki slowly open up and Sutton willingly reshape his entire world around her was such a joy. One of my favorite things about their dynamic is how safe they make each other feel. Even when Sutton sees through Nikki’s walls, he never pushes — he waits for her to choose him. And he offers her the same grace with his own scars. It’s healthy, it’s tender, and it’s the kind of love that feels earned. His protectiveness, his devotion, the way he sees her — his Tinkerbell — like she’s worth every risk… my heart absolutely flipped.
The suspense and tension keep the plot humming, but never at the expense of the romance. Their growth is steady, believable, and deeply satisfying. And of course, the rest of the Whispers crew shows up in full force, adding warmth, humor, and that found‑family spark that makes this world so addictive.

Tropes:
Opposites Attract
Billionaire Movie star
Forced Proximity
Protective hero
Small town
Hidden Identity
Found family
Who did this to you?
Leaving it all behind for love.

SAMANTHA WHYYYYY??? Why didn’t you warn me to NOT start reading this book as soon as I downloaded it? Because, instead, I started reading it right away, on a work night. Then, couldn’t put it down. Then, couldn’t get to sleep. Then, couldn’t focus at work the next day. Then, started reading it as soon as I got home and stayed up until I finally finished it. I LITERALLY COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN WITHOUT PAIN. Most books don’t hit that mark until about 75%, but Samantha had me at about 10%.

As usual, the character development is spotless. Even though I really have nothing in common and therefore no real point of reference with either main character, I was immediately drawn into their world completely. Sutton, the Hollywood star, hiding out in Whispers, facing the press and greed like most of us never will. Nikki, the single mom, also hiding out in Whispers, running from a past so different than most of us will have had. Even so, the descriptions and feelings were so real, I immediately was able to relate to both of them. But much of their pain and struggles are similar to what we all face – who do we trust, who has our best interest at heart, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO TODAY? They are so different and yet so alike. Both looking for a life so far and so different from where they have come, not knowing exactly what that looks like but still having so much courage to keep looking until they find it.

As usual, the story is so engaging and so unpredictable. Just when I think I have figured something out, Samantha completely blows it out of the water. I must admit, there was maybe ONE thing I figured out, but as it turns out, I only had it about 15% correct (as was intended, I’m sure).

Each time I read a new book from Whispers, I declared it to be my favorite. Each time, I think it cannot be topped. Each time, I am wrong. Sutton is definitely the best. I do not know how it can ever be beat. But I know Samantha will be able to do that with Griffin. I only have to wait……

We're heading back to Whispers with Sutton and unsurprisingly, the stay is absolutely excellent!

Both Nikki and Sutton have been hinted at and introduced here and there in previous books and I am sure I'm not the only one who has been curious about Nikki's backstory. To be honest, I may or may not have suspected her in previous books 🫣

And what a backstory she has! Learning more about her and James was so very worth it. I am trying not to spoil any surprises regarding their story so I'll just say that Nikki and James are so sweet, caring and resilient considering the hardships they've faced. And seeing them grow and develop and heal in this book was so heartwarming!

On the surface, Sutton is a Hollywood heartthrob, successful, rich, at the top of his action-movie career. But beneath all that, there is a complex man who's a little lost and in need of a new purpose in life. Enters Nikki, James, a mountain of chicken pies and... Bees!

The chemistry between Sutton and Nikki is hot, their quirkiness and oddities so sweet, their love is the stuff to be jealous of and the way they look after each other is pure gold!

Also, I am a sucker for nicknames, especially the special ones with meaning kind, and these Whispers men are on point in that department, particularly in audiobook!

I started to read Sutton then moved to the audiobook for the second half and OMG the narrators are adding another level of fire onto an already excellent book! June Deborahae has a lovely sweet voice that is a pleasure to listen to. And I could listen to Duncan Cole bringing Sutton to life for days!

Now I am so ready for Griffin's book - also, were these Easter Eggs for future books? (IYKYK) If so, I am here for them!

Sutton The Billionaires of Whispers #5
Samantha Skye
Narration by Duncan Cole & June Deborahae!

What would you do if your family was searching for you, and the only way to survive was to run and hide with your brother James, who is your whole world?

And what happens when fame gives you everything you dreamed of, but costs you your privacy and peace? Sometimes the only way to protect yourself is to disappear… and that’s exactly how Nikki and Sutton’s story begins.

Nikki and Sutton are both living with secrets in the small town of Whispers. Nikki is fiercely protective of her younger brother, James, and will do anything to keep him safe from anyone and everyone. Sutton, a successful actor, is hiding from the paparazzi and media after a few unsettling incidents that leave him questioning whether LA is really where he belongs.

Neither of them has a reason to trust anyone but slowly, they begin to trust each other. Nikki starts to believe that Sutton might be the one person who can truly protect her.

This book had me laughing, swooning, and feeling so deeply for these characters! Nikki’s love and protectiveness over James absolutely stole my heart. The side characters were so good that I’m already excited to dive into the rest of the series. I've completely fallen for this town.
I love how the story shows that once you move to Whispers, you become part of the community. A small town will always protect its own.

Samantha Skye definitely knows how to write a deliciously bold MMC! The chemistry was incredible, and the added suspense kept me hooked the entire time.

I absolutely recommend this one and I’m officially adding the rest of the Billionaires of Whispers series to my TBR!

Huge shoutout to Duncan Cole & June Deborahae 🎧✨
They completely brought these characters to life: the emotion, the chemistry, the tension… all of it was perfection. Such an immersive listen!

I received both the ARC and the ALC for this one, and I have to start by saying—I usually just buy directly from Samantha’s website because she has been known to drop her books 24 hours early (and I have zero chill). But when the author agency reached out, I was intrigued… and I am so glad I said yes.

If there’s one thing Samantha Skye does flawlessly, it’s delivering that mysterious billionaire vibe layered with deeply emotional backstories—especially for her heroines. Nikki is no exception. She’s been through truly terrible circumstances, yet she carries herself with impeccable manners, quiet strength, and so much grace. Even her son (who adorably calls her Nikki) reflects that same politeness—something that stands out immediately.

This story hooked me from page one.

I’ll say it loud: I love adorable. I don’t always need ultra-dark romance. Sometimes I want:
“I’m in trouble.”
“I need help.”
“But first, I need to trust you.”

And that’s exactly what we get here.

Sutton, our Hollywood superstar turned small-town recluse, finds peace in Whisper with his brother, nephews, and a slower life. His agent wants him back in the spotlight—but Sutton? He’d rather show up at the diner every day, trade random bits of trivia with Nikki, and quietly protect her from the edges of his fame.

The slow unraveling of Nikki’s past—her wealthy upbringing, the stepmother situation, the secrets she’s been holding—builds beautifully. And when she finally tells Sutton everything? When he realizes she fully trusts him?

It’s glorious.

Yes, there’s tension.
Yes, there’s spice (and it’s very well done).
But the emotional payoff? That’s the real star.

This series is interconnected standalones, and every book adds another layer to Whispers.

If you’ve loved the others, you absolutely cannot miss this one. And if you haven’t started yet? This is your sign.

Whispers just keeps getting better.

Sutton is the fifth book from Samantha Skye's fantastic contemporary romance series, Billionaires of Whispers. I absolutely adore this series and it just keeps getting better. Seriously, Skye has an absolute knack for writing dreamily swoon-worthy billionaires who are level headed and know how to treat a girl right!

Sutton is the movie star brother of Sawyer (who has the billionaire of book 4). Sutton has been hiding out in the small town of Whispers for a while now. Hollywood is hectic and there seems to be some kind of plot against him. However, the move Sutton that has brought him back to his brother and his friends, has had Sutton thinking. Add in the mysterious girl at the local cafe, Nicki and her son who seems to be too old to be her child, James, and Sutton has himself thinking differently.

Sutton is a billionaire knight in shining armour. He falls hard and fast for Nicki and the two of them form a really beautiful friendship along the way. However, there is also a mystery surrounding Nicki, which is where the knight in shining armour comes into play.

This is such a sweet romance, with a hint of danger and a good dose of action. Sutton is a 5 star leading man. His character development and storyline is everything I could want. Nicki is also a great character, I loved the mystery and slow reveal of her story. Look, I just like a nice, straight forward romance, and I adored that there was more than one HEA in this book.

So I read this in tandem with the audio for the ARC, which was a really great way to experience the book. And it also meant that I got to keep listening while I was at work! But just to say, I absolutely adored the narration. Tone of this duel narration reflected really well the chemistry between Sutton and Nicki. Another win for Samantha Skye, in both ebook and audio form!

ALC Review

I’ve hung around Whispers and feel like, at this point in book five I’m an honorary member of the community. Sutton is the story of a famous movie star looking for a quiet place to escape, and a woman with a mysterious and guarded story.

This story is performed in duet narration by June DeBorahae and Duncan Cole, and it folds in appearances from previous characters without making it feel like you’ve missed any time with them. Nikki and Sutton have their secrets yet they find a way to sense trust and respect between themselves enough to open up. This is where our audiobook actors shine.

June has one of those voices that is melodic and multidimensional — the earnestness that comes across in Nikki’s character is my favorite aspect of June’s performance. Her voice rings clear as a woman on the run who is fiercely protective of herself and the child she has under her care. As Nikki opens up to Sutton, June balances her womanly curiosity with her intuitive protectiveness with tenderness.

Nikki is a smart woman, both intellectually and academically, and June gives her so much beautiful heart.

This is the first time I’ve listened to Duncan Cole — his voice matches everything my mind expects Sutton to sound like. He’s a man who is tired of everything Hollywood and is looking for an escape.

When he lands in Whispers (his brother is Sawyer Silvers of book 4 - he is surrounded by a network of strong men. Duncan leans into Sutton’s curiosity about Nikki and what I love so much about his character is that he allows Nikki to live in her humble bubble while making her feel like she’s indispensable. Duncan’s performance is equal parts pining and protective.

This story covers a lot of emotional and psychological ground — both main characters have challenges to overcome and learn to lean on each other as a support system. When they dive into a physical relationship — the steam and spice blend beautifully with the emotional journey these two embark on. June and Duncan are a great duet pairing. This is a great listen if you love powerful females, secret identities, and found family.

🎧Audio and E-book Review📚

Nikki was in hiding with her little brother. She is working at a diner and all she wants is to keep her brother safe and make sure he is taken care of. This is where she meets Sutton. Sutton comes in everyday, sits in a secluded booth and has chicken pie.

Sutton is Hollywood heartthrob, he is rich, successful and everyone wants a piece of him. A couple of things went a bit sideways for him, so he is in Whispers, getting away from everything and spending time with his brother and his new nephews.

Meeting Nikki and her brother was the icing on the cake for him. He is infatuated with her, but just like him, he knows that she is also hiding from something. The more time he spends with her the deeper he falls. Now he all he wants is for her to do what she loves and to let her be the person she wants to be.

This was a good one. I loved it. Sutton was amazing. I loved how he was so infatuated with Nikki and was so interested in everything she said, even her little projects she was always busy with. He totally bonded with James as well and made them feel like someone cared about them. Nikki was just as hooked on Sutton! She didn’t see a movie star or someone that could give her something, she saw someone that wanted to be there for her and wanted to love her 😊 Amazing…

The narration was so good. I am loving these dual narrations lately. Duncan Cole and June Deborahae was new to me, and they definitely brough the heat and the chemistry for Nikki and Sutton. Loved every minute of it 😊

Totally love everyone single one of these Billionaires of Whispers. And looking forward to Griffin 😊

Sutton is the fifth book in The Billionaires of Whispers series about five billionaire friends. Tanner, Connor (Tanner’s son), and Hudson, the original three, owned Whiteman Whiskey distillery, in the small town of Whispers. Their other friends were brothers Sawyer, a lawyer, and his brother Sutton, a Hollywood star. As the story opened, Sutton was hiding out in Whispers, feeling burned out and taking a break from his career. Sutton’s favorite hangout was the Delish Diner, where he was enthralled with diner girl Nikki, her brother James, and the diner’s chicken pies. Nikki and James were also hiding out in the safety of Whispers. They had an instant chemistry together. The story followed their spicy hot romance, This book had some serious spice, like you need a fan and a cold drink kind of spice. Sutton can talk dirty to me anytime! The spicy scenes were beautifully written and tasteful.

Samantha Skye never disappoints. She has written another excellent, steamy, intense romance with a good plot, prolific writing, pacing, fantastic world building, and interesting characters. I enjoyed the characters and how they developed over time. The story was a steamy, emotionally charged romance with humor, drama, and just a little bit of danger. I liked the slow burn of the relationship, the way Sutton was integrated into Nikki’s little family, and the intertwining of characters from the previous books. I also liked that Skye used one of my favorite words – gobsmacked – in the epilogue! Overall, I really enjoyed the book and look forward to reading more about Griffin in the next book in the series. I definitely recommend this book!

ARC Review of Sutton by Samantha Skye
* * * * *
Two people depending on privacy, secrecy and good people to help them out of their troubles. What they didn't expect, and now want more than ever, is to also depend on each other.

Sutton Silver just wants to get away from the suffocating spotlight of Hollywood. Things have been happening to him, overwhelming and unexplainable. Hiding in Whispers is the best thing he has got going for him, and spending time with his brother and new nephews is just a bonus. Now, he has gained another perk.
Nikki.
In the diner where they give him the space and food and release he needs, Nikki is a young woman with secrets. He knows she's hiding from something, along with the young boy James. She's guarded, lies, doesn't allow others to get too close but also doesn't reach out for help even when she needs it. As Nikki and James's facade starts to slip before his eyes, all he wants to do is protect them from what they are hiding from.

Great new characters, reoccuring characters and old familiars. We have your awesome family members, surrogate mother figures, a-holes who are going to get what they deserve, kids who just make your heart warm and one evil individual who honestly needs more slap-in-the-face time.
I found it sweet that even when Sutton could see through the lies, he never pushed or dug into Nikki's life. He just let her tell him when she felt safe with him. He was the same with his own problems, which all together is so healthy and loving.
Love this series, and happy there may be more coming...winky wink.

ALC/ARC review

This book is about Nikki and Sutton, both hiding in the small town called Whispers. While Sutton is hiding from his fame, Nikki, and her brother are hiding there for for more serious reasons. Their stepmother has it out for them.
Nikki is very careful in how she lives. Taking no risks, and being so very mindful in what and how she does. She works at a diner as a waitress. Sutton is at that diner almost daily. Slowly Sutton manged to crawled into Nikki her comfort bubble. Slowly she starts trusting him and opens up more. Nikki is very aware of who Sutton is, however she doesn't let his fame determine what she thinks of him. Very down to earth. I loved how she saw the man and not the actor.
I loved how the book had all these sustainability elements in the story. Nikki is a big fan of those and it shows. I love how they got incorporated into the story.
This book has heartfelt moments, moment for laughing and crying. At the end I was begging for their HEA, they deserved it.
Audiobook Experience: The audio book is a standout, thanks to the fantastic narration by Duncan Cole and June Deborahae. Their performances bring Sutton and Nikki to life in a way that elevates the story. June Deborahae perfectly captures Nikki's nervous energy and dry wit, making her internal monologues even funnier and more heartfelt. Meanwhile, Duncan Cole delivers Sutton's charm and vulnerability with just the right amount of warmth, making it easy to fall for him. The chemistry between the narrators is electric, and their emotional delivery during the key moments adds depth to the already engaging story. If you enjoy audio books, this is absolutely worth a listen, it’s one of those cases where the narration makes the book even better.

(Duet Narration Audiobook) I have enjoyed each book in this series and this was another great addition. Sutton is a famous actor who has been hiding out in Whispers, a small town, to get away from the paparazzi and problems back in L.A. It’s at the diner there he meets Nikki(Charlotte) a waitress. They’re attracted to each other, but Nikki has a secret so she’s hesitant to get involved with Sutton. Despite that they draw between them is too strong and they start a relationship. We eventually learn why Nikki and and her younger brother James(Preston) are on the run, and what their real names are.

I really liked that despite Sutton’s wealth and status he was very down to earth and wasn’t full of himself. He and Charlotte were a good match, and Preston developing a relationship with Sutton as well was sweet. Sutton supporting Charlotte in her projects and experiments was wonderful. I loved that their relationship was solid throughout the entire book and it was them against the world really. There was no drama between them and I love when that happens in romance books. Eventually the threat against Charlotte and Preston comes to a head at the end of the book with a bit of action happening.

June DeBorahae and Duncan Cole do a great job as the narrators, and really brought the story to life. I want to thank The Smuthood and Samantha Skye for a copy of this audiobook. I voluntarily chose to leave a review.

Was lucky enough to receive an ALC of this beauty of a book and devoured it in less than a couple of days (As I do most Samantha Skye books). Nikki and Sutton's journey was a wonderful blend of mystery, self-discovery, and love, all set against the charm and community of Whispers that readers have come to expect in this series. Samantha Skye has a wonderful talent for creating stories surrounded by small-town charm with a mystery twist in each of the Whispers men's books.

Movie star Sutton, facing a PR problem, goes into hiding in Whispers while he plans his next steps in his career and life. He happens to meet Nikki at the local diner and sparks fly. Nikki is escaping her own world and issues as well, and both she and Sutton bond over this.

Duet-narrated by Duncan Cole and June Deborahae, the audiobook brought to life these special characters and made the story all the better. If you love audiobooks, this one won't disappoint. It was my first time listening to both narrators, and I enjoyed their work so much. Perfect picks for Sutton and Nikki.

Sutton is the fifth in the Billionaires of Whisper series, and although it works perfectly as a standalone, I feel like reading the previous books will provide more depth into the town of Whisper, its charm, and its beautiful community of characters. If not all the books, I recommend reading the previous book, Sawyer, since that character is the brother of Sutton and introduces the character.

Thank you Samantha and her team for the ALC in exchange for an honest review.
I DEVOURED this book. Her best work in my humble opinion.
We met Sutton in the earlier books and I have always been so intrigued by him so FINALLY getting his story was so exciting. And it did NOT disappoint.
Sutton Silvers is a famous movie star in hiding because he is tired of fame and the lack of privacy so he goes and hides out in Whispers where he meets Nikki. She is also hiding from something but keeps her cards close to her chest.
I loved watching Sutton slowly win Nikki over and watching how they slowly learnt to trust each other was beautiful.
I love kids in books so James was such a fun addition to this story.
I will always be a fan of the man cumming in his pants trope and this was soooooo good here. OBSESSED.
Also, he is deathly allergic to bees but she loves them so he starts doing venom immunotherapy and learning all he can about bees was so cute!
Romantic suspense is always my favourite type of romance to read. I love a small mystery element in amongst the romance and as usual Samantha crushed this.

Also can we take a moment to take about the narrators? Duncan Cole as Sutton and June Deborahae as Nikki. The audiobooks are always so good and all of the voice actors do a phenomenal job.

Audio/eBook Review:
Sutton is Nikki and Sutton’s entertaining and at times emotional slow burn romance. It’s book five in The Billionaires of Whisper Series set in the small town of the same name. I loved everything about this book and from the moment I picked it up there was no putting down.
Nikki and Sutton are both hiding in the small town of Whisper, he is escaping the paparazzi of LA and she is hiding with her younger brother James from her wicked stepmother. Neither are looking for love but something draws them together and it’s not long before they are chatting and spending time together in the diner where Nikki works.
Learning to trust was not going to be easy and Nikki was going to take a lot of convincing to let her walls down. So will Nikki and Sutton take a leap of faith when feelings come into play……..
This book touched me on so many levels, I swooned, I giggled and at times I was perched on the edge of my seat as I cheered this couple on. This is a beautifully written journey with wonderful characters but what took this book to the next level was watching the Hollywood movie star do what ever was needed to protect Nikki and her brother.
Duncan Cole and June Deborahae did a great job bringing the characters and their story to life. They were spot on with the love, the passion and the banter as well as being very easy to listen to.

Samantha Skye, once again a fantastic book , I was unable to put it down until I'd read the last page .
Sutton is the fifth book from Samantha Skye's fantastic contemporary romance series, Billionaires of Whispers
Sutton is the movie star brother of Sawyer ( book 4)
Nikki ( working at the diner/ nickname Tinkerbell / real name Charlotte) and Sutton ( Hollywood heartthrob) were just perfect for each other. Both dealing with secrets and hiding from things in their past, but they find a way to trust and lean on each other.
This one had me laughing, and feeling so deeply for these characters. Nikki’s protectiveness over James ( Her 10 year old brother / real name Preston) and the love she had for him, was just heart breaking.
Then there’s the bee thing. The fact that Sutton gets venom immunotherapy just so he can be near something she loves?
You bowled me over with the bad guys ,totally unexpected.
I was so hooked on the story and loved the Tinkering and to hear from the old friends in this series.
I totally loved every single one of these Billionaires of Whispers. And looking forward to Griffin 😊
Definitely recommend this book and the rest of the billionaires of whispers series.

4.5 Stars

This story had my guessing and questioning what I knew about the characters. I like how Samantha adds that little bit of suspense to keep you on your toes while reading.

Sutton the movie star has come to Whispers to get away from the glam and lights. He is able to spend time with his brother and the kids he has taken as his own. I loved the sweetness of Sutton and how he is so down to earth.
Nikki is the girl trying to stay out of the spotlight and in the shadows. She came to Whispers to start a new life. I loved how caring she is for James and always looking out for him. She has this kindness to her that doesn't match others. Soft and easy to talk to is the best way to describe her.

I liked the elements of suspense the best in this book. I love the men of Whispers and the women they find to keep them grounded.

Duncan Cole and June Deborahae narrate this in duet and even though this is my first listening of both of them, I really liked them. I felt that both voices matched the characters. Duncan has a smooth voice that is great for a movie star like Sutton. And June has a soft voice that is perfect for Nikki while staying in the shadows.
Both narrators will be ones I will listen to again.

And I can't wait for another book to come from this series.

4.5 ⭐️

Sutton book #5 in the Billionaires of Whispers Series was my first Samantha Skye read but I will definitely be going back to catch up on this series.

Small town. Big secrets. Hollywood heat. 🎬

Sutton is a billionaire movie star escaping the chaos of Hollywood, hiding out in Whispers near his family. Enter Nikki, the local diner waitress who instantly captures his attention along with her sweet “son” James.
Sutton keeps finding reasons to visit the diner… but it’s not just the pie. Nikki’s quiet strength & beautity along with James’ kind innocence has him intrigued.
Nikki knows exactly who Sutton is and exactly what it means to need a place to hide so like the small town, fiercely protects his identity.
But there are secrets here. Layers to Nikki and James that don’t quite add up. And when reality comes knocking and danger follows close behind, Sutton proves he’s not just a pretty face he’ll go to extreme lengths to protect the two people who’ve stolen his heart.
The ALC experience was everything...Duncan Cole and June Deborahae absolutely brought these characters to life. They were new-to-me narrators, and I’ll definitely be looking for more from them. 🎧

Small town romance + hidden identities + protective hero energy? Yes please. Highly recommend.

Sutton and Nikki were the perfect pairing. He’s hiding out in Whispers due to his fame becoming too much and she’s hiding from something much more sinister. Sutton- what a swoon! He’s taken by Nikki immediately, he sees a spark in her despite her desperately trying to hide into the background and he doesn’t understand why. He just knows he’s sees the same unease in her eyes that he sees in his own reflection. And once Sutton starts frequenting the diner where she works, they slowly get to know each other and Nikki starts to lower her walls. She begins to trust someone, and that’s Sutton, for the first time in a long time. He makes her feel safe like she hasn’t felt for a long time. And as Sutton gets to know Nikki he realises that the lifestyle of the film star he is is so far from what he wants now. He falls hard and fast for her and for her brother James too! This man wants to give them the world and goes above and beyond to show them both that they’re safe with him. The character growth from both of them was spot on throughout and you’ll see the rest of the Whispers gang out in full force to support this cutie pair!

I know this gets old, but SAMANTHA I WANT TO GO TO WHISPERS....... Sutton is perfection, and another amazing read from one of my favourite authors. There is always romantic suspense, and I love that, so if you already love Catherine Cowles, this is like that with alittle more delicious spice.

Sutton is hiding in Whispers, but he isn't the only one. Nikki is hiding her own secrets, and is trying to make ends meet. With her is her brother, and the reasons they are both in hiding *cue all the emotions. But despite the 'disguise' Sutton 'sees' her. He may be a Hollywood Heart Throb, PlayBoy, but here he is just Sutton, brother of Sawyer. And he does love the diners' "chicken pot pies", but when it is Nikki who is there serving him, it keeps him coming back.

Everything about this book, these two, is absolutely perfection, and seeing how he is with his brother and the residents of Whispers I absolutely loved. And he will do ANYTHING to keep Nikki and her brother safe, and here I was thinking no one could beat Tanner or Connor for my heart, but Sutton is right up there. In fact, I am claiming them all, and reading alittle more about Griffin, Samantha, I am here for him!!
