K. Elliott aka The Well Fed Black Writer, published his first novel, Entangled, in 2003. Although he was offered multiple signing deals, Elliott decided he had what it took to self-publish. With that, he founded Urban Lifestyle Press, printed his own books and went to work. Bookstore by bookstore, street vendor by street vendor, Elliott took to the road selling his story. His work did not go unnoticed as he sold 50,000 units in his first year and made the Essence Magazine Bestsellers list. Since Entangled, Elliott has published five titles of his own and two on behalf of authors signed to Urban Lifestyle Press. For one book, The Ski Mask Way, Elliott was selected to co-author with hip-hop superstar 50 Cent. Along the way, he has continued to look for innovative ways to push his books to his fans while keeping down his overhead. Not wanting to keep the finding of such valuable experiences to himself, Elliott did two things. First, in 2010 he forged his vision of low-cost publishing by founding 21 Black Street, an eBookstore to mirror a traditional African-American themed book store - accept it could totally cuts out printing costs. Not stopping there, Elliott created the Well-Fed Black Writer, a blog for authors to find life-hacking tips for more efficient, effective self-publishing. Now through podcasts, video and blog posts, Elliott is able to reach anyone interested tips that lead to efficient, cost effective self-publishing success.
Black really isn’t a bad guy. He makes a lot of dumb decisions but he has a good heart. I was so hurt when his kids got murdered. All because TeTe with her crazy behind wants to be a rebel. Whatever happened to her messed her up for life. Starr is just confused I can’t wait to see how Jada handles Shamari being out. Will she still be loyal to him. Season 3 here I come..
OMG this was a great read and I would definitely be recommending this series to all my friends. Start, black, Q and fresh... I loved everything about them!
The divas are back at it with new faces. TeTe is too hot to handle to cold to hold. I miss Lani :( The gang is back in full effect. I knew that Starr and Q would continue to rekindle the flame even though Trey was Q's friend I can see them together. I still cant believe that Trey was killed by his BM WOW!?! With Mari doing life I guess Fresh will be the sparks back in Jada's life. It crazy how she still leads Big papa on and he still hasn't hit it and never will. This Black and Shakur beef will it ever end being that Black was not the one that killed Lani???????
I love this series...I've been reading urban fiction since I received my Kindle last Christmas n this is one of my favorites....it keeps me intrigued while giving me mixed emotions....you'll laugh, cry n get angry all in one chapter...the characters are so real you can't help but feel them n be there with them....I hope this keeps going, it's like I'm watching on t.v....Great work K. Elliott...keep it coming....
This book was good. It was short but it was still good. I wonder what the police wanted when they came to Black house. And couldn't help but be surprise when L was banging Avant wow. Smh and I wonder if Q going to get out the gang related cartel drug empire crap and be with star. And Jada and Shamari situation.....
So Kyrie Killed Lani I kind of figured he would pull some bull so Black would do it but of all ppl wow good read K. Elliott I wonder what is to become of Jada and Starr and will Shakur make a brief appearance and L wow he is a Bear huh lol on to the next book can't wait to see what happens next
You've done it to me again Mr Elliott. I'm loving the way this series is going already. I was still a little emotional about Trey & Lani, but Ms TeTe has taken my mind away from them, temporarily. I think I know how this series is going to go but messing with you I never know
I absolutely love this book it was very detailed and kept me anticipating more. This book gave me a clear visual on all the characters and their stories. My rating was decided Upon the excitement it gave and how it kept my interest from the beginning to the end!
This book gets hella crazy every other book.I am glad Starr and Jada are a lot closer now. That ending was totally not expected for me but I thought something to that nature would happen. Now I can't wait for part two
I hate that these books end like this ! I am so ready to see what's next !!! The book is very good & I am so mad that I don't want happens next !! Next book needs to come out fast !! Lol
It took a little bit to get used to the new characters in the book, but it was still a good read. Glad to be able to catch up with Black, Starr, Jada, and Q. The only thing I really didn't like was L and his sorry nasty self.
Kingpin wifeys series is always a good read, keep it coming. I hate some of f2f he main characters are gone. But the new ones r quite interesting. I don't like starr and q being together, it goes against the code.
I have to say this was okay not what I expected. Maybe after reading season 1 I was expecting a lot more. Hopefully this was just the intro to the new characters and storyline and picks up in part 2. That's all I will say about that, on to part 2.
Loved this! It was a very good read. I couldn't put my kindle down. However, I didn't know there was a season 1 so I'm stopping here to go back and read it from the beginning so that I know EXACTLY what is going on with every character
I kind of figured that Q was gonna pursue Starr. I'm glad that Black got a chance to explain himself to Ms. Carolyn. Who would have ever thought that L would be down for the same sex? Now as far as the new characters Tete is not to be reckoned with.
