Cosmopolitan Magazine calls Addison's books, "...easy, frothy fun!" Humor with a side of homicide.
The snow is falling, the chocolate is flowing, and my three-month-old is experiencing their very first Christmas at the Country Cottage Inn. Between hosting Cider Cove’s glamorous Deck the Halls Holiday Home Tour and making everything perfect for baby’s first Christmas, I’ve got my hands fuller than Santa’s workshop.
But when our festive celebration turns deadly, a prominent community member winds up deader than last year’s Christmas tree—poisoned via eggnog no less. Suddenly my holiday cheer becomes holiday fear, and I’m trading diaper changes for decoding murderous thoughts.
Between Matilda Westoff's missing cat Jellybean, my newly discovered sister’s arrival (making my other sister Macy greener than the Grinch), and Mom and Georgie's latest holiday chaos, I’m running on less sleep than the elves at the North Pole. Add in Hammie Mae’s apparent baby genius making me question my parenting skills, and this Christmas is anything but silent.
With Mayor Mackenzie demanding I solve this before the Christmas Eve Gala, it’s up to me, Fish, and Sherlock Bones to unwrap this mystery before the killer delivers the deadliest gift of all.
The Country Cottage Inn is known for its hospitality. This Christmas, the holiday home tour has one house that's decorated to death.

Bizzy Baker Wilder and her husband Jasper are looking forward to their baby’s first Christmas, but it wouldn’t be a holiday in Cider Cove without a murder taking place. A prominent member of the community winds up dead during the start of the holiday home tour and right after that, Matilda Westoff’s cat, Jellybean goes missing. And to top it off, while Bizzy is becoming acquainted with her new sister, Buffy, their other sister Macy is green with envy and is being an even meaner version of the Grinch. And of course Georgie is always finding herself in some sort of predicament and drags Bizzy’s mom, Ree into the mix. Oh and did I forget to mention Hammie Mae’s genius daughter, who is only 6 months old and sends Bizzy and Emmie into a tailspin because they are worried Ella and Elliot aren’t geniuses themselves yet. Sounds less like the warm, kind spirit of Christmas and more like the terror of Halloween. Can Bizzy help to discover who murdered the victim so they can all enjoy Ella and Elliot’s first Christmas? Will Jellybean be found safe and sound? Will Cider Cove still be standing after Georgie’s finishes the holiday tour? Hint….Bizzy’s a pretty phenomenal amateur detective despite Jasper warning her to stay away from his cases. I absolutely loved the holiday chaos and couldn’t help but laughing throughout the book. I think you will enjoy this holiday delight of mystery and holiday chaos yourself!.

ecorated to Death is the thirty first book in the Country Cottage Mystery series. Even though this book is part of a series, but can easily read as a stand alone and you would be just fine. This series focuses on Bizzy Baker, a fun quirky inn manager, now owner, that loves her cozy little home town Cider Cove and her husband the detective Jasper Wilder. While Bizzy is not your normal run of the mill owner, when she was younger she almost drown and gained the ability to read minds. Cider Cove is home of the Deck the Halls Holiday Home Tour, the most elegant holiday tradition, Cider Cove showcase the town’s most beautifully decorated homes. On the open night in Cider Cove fashion starring Bizzy she happens to be in the center of another dead body. Balthasar had a list of enemies as long as Santa’s naughty list giving Bizzy a long list of suspects. Going to all the houses on the Deck the Halls Holiday Home Tour gives Bizzy the chance to talk with several of suspects and for Georgie to find ways to get up to trouble and banned from several locations in town. Will Bizzy be able to solve this murder before Christmas? Will she be able to enjoy the holiday or will the murder be hanging over her head ?
- Cozy mystery - Christmas themed - Quirky characters - Small town - Delightful pets
This is part of an ongoing series about Bizzy, an inn owner who can hear other people's (and animals) thoughts randomly. It's not always helpful since she can't tell whose thoughts are whose, except for the animals. Bizzy is also something of a body magnet and frequently stumbles into them.
During a party at her inn, a sleazy Santa - chocolate mogul Balthasar - ends up going to the North Pole in the sky....and no one seems that upset at the turn of events. Now Bizzy and her friends are trying to find clues while keeping the peace between Bizzy's newly found sister Buffy and other sister Macy.
At the same time, Bizzy and Emmie are questioning their parenting skills and a cat has gone missing.
As all of this is transpiring, Bizzy and Jasper are trying to make their infant daughter's first Christmas a memorable one.
As has been the rest of the series, this book is entertaining and a quick read.

The Deck the Halls Holiday Home Tours kicks off at the Country Inn with Santa dropping dead on Bizzy. Then Matilda’s cat is discovered missing after the dead guy threatened a catnapping. On top of solving the crimes, Bizzy is playing peacemaker between her sister, Macy and new found sister, Buffy. Plus, Hammie Mae’s baby is showing off prodigy skills that have Bizzy and Emmie feeling like they need to up their parenting game. It looks like there won’t be any Silent Nights in Cider Cove this Christmas.
Another chaotic Country Inn cozy from Addison Moore. The running commentary from the pets is always so much fun. I love how they all have distinct personalities. Macy’s insecurities about Buffy’s arrival has her snippier than usual. I like how she jumped into the sleuthing as well and her results were stellar. Baby Matilda was a trifle spooky with her verbal skills. I can’t wait to see how that develops in future books. Georgie’s antics were laugh out loud funny as well.

Decorated to Death is a charming, cozy addition to the Country Cottage Mysteries series. The author had me smiling any time Sherlock entered with his doggie excitement, or Fish with her deadpan deliveries, or Georgie with her crazy antics. The animals (and Georgie) definitely deliver humor and joy to any scene.
I especially loved the Christmasy settings and the festive details throughout. The subplots also shined here—Jellybean’s mystery, Macy and Buffy’s continuing feud, and Baby Matilda’s strange genius. However, the whodunit mystery felt a bit softer: the turns felt gentle rather than dramatic, and they didn’t seem to have much impact on Bizzy.
Overall, it’s a relaxing read for a Winter afternoon.

Ho ,Ho ,no! What do you know , another murder in the snow? Christmas morning in Cider Cove should be filled with grace and love. It might well be if the case can be solved. Bizzy Baker Wilder will try but now with her sister’s arrival and Matilda Westoff’s pet cat Jellybean gone missing too ,what’s a gal to do ? Well with Fish and Sherlock Bones to help her out ,she’s holding her own and doesn’t scream and shout at a pinch about her sister Macy acting like a Christmas Grinch instead of the fairy upon the tree ,all pretty serene with the tree of green boughs and red bows mingling ,will the joyful bells be ringing out ? Will she find secrets out? Yule ( I know Ho,Ho,Ho) just have to read and find out you know . Well written as ever by Addison Moore who has great wit writing these talking cats you know.
It's Christmas time in Cider Cove. Bizzy has great plans to celebrate the holiday and has decorated every available space at the Country Cottage Inn. The town is having a Holiday Home Tour of lots of the houses, even some million dollar homes. All is going well at the Inn with lots of people in the ballroom dancing or just talking with friends. The unexpected happens when one of the guests stumbles and collapses into a chair. But, he's not there to sit as he's slumps over, dead. Bizzy certainly didn't expect something like this to happen in her inn and certainly not at an event like this. Join Bizzy and her friends as they try to find out what happened and why...

It’s the first Christmas for Bizzy’s sweet little girl, and the Country Cottage Inn is perfectly decorated for it. Cider Cove’s most prestigious homes are on display for the Deck the Halls Holiday Home Tour. The event is wildly successful until a wealthy member of the community dies during the tour. Bizzy has her hands full juggling the investigation, a missing Jellybean, two tangling sisters, and her work at the Inn; all between diaper changes and no sleep for months! She needs Fish and Sherlock Bones to help her solve this case before Christmas arrives!
This holiday cozy kept me guessing. I enjoy cozies with pets, and this one has a lot of them. I received an advance copy, but my review was honest and voluntary.
The yearly Cider Grove Holiday Home Tour is just one of the exciting holiday traditions of Cider Grove. This year a prominent member of the community dies mid tour. The Country Cottage Inn is all abuzz with excitement for babies first Christmas, the antics of Bizzy, her sisters and do not forget Rose. Needing to keep some holiday spirit alive, all the houses on the tour are still visited. Many laughs suspense with a difficulty solving the murder case and find the beloved Jellybean. I could not have guess the end and cannot forget the comical banter between adorable Fish-N-Chips.
Cider Cove is having the Deck the Halls Holiday Home Tour to showcase the beautifully decorated homes of the prominent citizens. The tour turns deadly when one of the homeowners turns up dead! Dizzy, along with her pets Fish and Sherlock Bones, is determined to find the killer. Add to the investigation the chaos of a missing cat, her two sisters, her Mom and Georgie, and her 3 month old baby and you won't be able to put this book down! Christmas may never be the same again! Can she find the killer before Christmas day? I loved all this Christmas chaos!
This is the thirty-first book in the Country Cottage Mystery series. In this fascinating story it’s up to Fish, Sherlock Bones, and Bizzy Baker Wilder to unwrap the mystery of the death of Balthasar Thornfield. It's a phenomenal story and the characters are quirky and likeable. From the start I was hooked and couldn't put it down until I finished it. I love Addison's books and look forward to reading them. Highly recommend reading.

This is a fun silly series with lots of quirky characters. Bizzy is able to hear people's and animals thoughts plus she is a magnet for finding dead bodies. There are several outrageous events and incidents throughout the story keeping the story very lighthearted. Everyone eats lots of sweets and their animals go everywhere with them. The murder mystery is well written.

Book 31 of Country Cottage Mysteries. A laugh-out-loud standalone cozy mystery.
The characters were wonderfully quirky and quite humorous. Plot was intriguing and well paced. World building was well developed and solidly drawn. All in all a great, fun read. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.

No one writes better cozy, chaotic, murder mystery than Addison Moore. What a fun bonus for the shennanigans in Decorated to Death to be Christmas themed. So funny with such lovable characters including the talking fur ones. This book is a must-read for anyone who wants to be completely entertained laughing while figuring out a murder mystery. Enjoy the merry mix of murder, mystery, and mayhem at the Country Cottage Inn this Christmas.
While I still love this series and think it's wonderful, I've realized I need to space them out more. Maybe too many feel-good mystery books at once. That said, the characters and plot are still captivating and intriguing. I enjoy the animals in the story—they add a little something extra that many books lack. This book is fun, entertaining, and magical. I had a great time reading it and look forward to more.
This is the 31st book in the series, however, it's not boring or the same thing over and over, as sometimes that happens. It's Christmas, there's a new baby along with all the regular craziness in this town and of course, a murder. Now Bizzy has to figure out this murder on top of everything else she's dealing with. Good series, Bizzy is awesome!.

Whooooosaaah, okay with the addition of using AI maybe I felt my brain lagging on chapter three from way to much use of comparative descriptions. Sprinkle in, but in very possible moment? A bit too much.
This was heavy going. The actual story not as in depth as I am used to from Addison Moore and Bellamy Bloom.
Please don't fall into the trap of churning out books and sacrificing the talent you have for story writing.
Decorated to Death book 31 in the Country Cottage Murder series by Addison Moore and is a wonderful holiday addition to the series. I love this series, the quirky characters, the worldbuilding, the mysteries and especially the recipes! I can't wait for more!

I am totally surprised that Georgie and Macey have not been banned from all places of business and personal residences. In this Christmas caper the distruction is unbelieveable as family squabbles overwhelm common sense. The descriptions of the antics are histerical. The solving of the murder is unexpected. A fun read.
Bizzy does it again. At this rate she will be the entire detective department Jasper will be her backup with handcuffs. The descriptions of the homes on the tour were beautiful. And the pets were most helpful! But the surprise involving the grandfather clock made the best Christmas surprise. Loved this story!
This is a fun-filled holiday cozy with the gang rushing to solve the mystery before baby's first Christmas. There are a couple of mysteries and all is resolved by the end. Sister rivalry, overcompensating parents, and talking pets are the perfect holiday gift from the authors.
Interesting and fun read. And of course where George is chaos as usual. This one the inn starts off the holiday with a ruthless business man dressed as Santa gets murdered. The investigation is a little more chaotic than usual.
Bizzy and crew are working hard to solve another Mystery before Christmas. Fun, adventure, family and chaos. Georgie of course brings most of the chaos. Great author
Perfect book for the holidays. Enjoyed reading it and thought the mystery was excellent. This is one of my favorite series and I look forward to reading more books in the future. Recommend reading.
Bizzy and Jasper are looking forward to a wonderful first Christmas for their beautiful baby but, of course, Bizzy has to get dragged into a murder mystery. As usual there's lots of laughs and chaos and child envy too! Loved it.
