I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

From page one, I was hooked in the life of Kendall and facing things in life that isn't fair. And how it changed the way she viewed the world around her. Then she sees Ryder again. The man she's always loved. I love how these two face problems that is so common to so many. Ryder is raising his son, and trying to mend his broken heart. All the while, dealing with his sick mom. I love how the author intertwined these two lives and how they faced so many obstacles together yet both afraid of being hurt again.

I highly recommend this book!!

Don't you just love second chance romances? Add in a reality plot of a serious illness and the characters become much more relatable. Wounded from a failed marriage Ryder and his son Shepard moved back home to help with his mother. Kendall had moved back to her aunt's ranch after a work situation forced a choice. Great story line and strong characters.

Releases Feb. 24th. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
