Dayton #4

No Saint

Rate this book
Wolf Brookes was the bad boy who broke my heart, moved on faster than I could blink, and didn’t even bother to look back. Which is why I hate him.

A year and a half after the heartbreak, I’ve made some questionable choices—like breaking into his house and stealing from him. In my defense, I needed the money. He didn’t need to catch me…or blackmail me into playing little sister to the makeshift frat of reprobates he helps run.
Now I’m stuck in a party house from hell with my tattooed, arrogant ex.

My plan? Use being in his house to my advantage, get what I need to beat him at his own game, and get out.
His plan? Apparently to torment me by acting as though he doesn’t own a shirt.
But the more time we spend together, the more I see glimpses of the boy I loved—and the man he’s become. He’s still the same reckless, infuriating disaster I fell for, and I’m still the idiot who can’t seem to quit him.
Falling for him again would be the worst idea of my life.
But losing him twice?
That might break me for good.

'𝐍O S𝐀I𝐍T' Is a full length enemies to lovers romance book co written by Stevie j. Cole & LP Lovell

It's been a hot minute since these two joined forces and picked up those pens of theirs and came together to give us 'No Saint' so seeing those teasers drop, plus throw in the cover and I was sold and couldn't wait to get my hands on it.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
💜 Second Chance
💜 Enemies to Lovers
💜 Morally Grey MMC
💜 Forced Proximity
💜 Blackmail

Once it landed in my inbox, game over, life as I knew it was put on hold and I dived right in, and didn't raise my head until that very last page. So many feels, so many giggles, so many thoughts of I don't want this to end..

507819009-10162228870946939-397788924063524731-n

If only these two had communicated from the start, neither of them would've travelled down that rabbit hole of hurt.

I'd been anticipating this book forever from that first moment when these two characters were introduced and we got hints of their relationship.

Wolf & Jade hadn't seen each other for a year and a half.
BUT as things would have it fate hadn't finished with these two, one stolen car, one threat, then stealing from him was her biggest regret because these two became roomies, forced to live out their time under each others feet.

Throw in the two looney friends of theirs and that's where the giggles erupted freely, we could all only hope to have a friend like Cassie where her craziness flies a red flag.

Let me make one thing clear. I literally worship the Dayton boys. Bellamy, Zepp & Hendrix are all in my major league of book boyfriends and their stories were great too. However, I never really had mad live for Wolf in the rest of the series, but wanted to see how his and Jade’s stories panned out.

Turns out I wasn’t into them or their story. Objectively it’s a decent story. High school sweethearts, seperate at college, miscommunication, forced proximity, it’s all there. But their chemistry wasn’t. And I found the rinse and repeat story a little boring. Bad boy/good girl from the wrong side of town who never communicate and end up on again-off again like a yo-yo!

Also I think the lack of the rest of the crew affected my enjoyment of this one. Although there are moments with the OG’s, this book is very much centred on a new set of friends, and I won’t lie, I missed Hendrix and his waffle bat nonsense, Bellamy and his sensible side and Zepp & Monroe. And even though they do make appearances, it didn’t have the same feel as the first 3 books.

“𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗜 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗮 𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗜 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗳𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘂𝗽…”

These are both two new authors to me. The book was good but I think I would have enjoyed it more if I read the previous book. It was advertised as an interconnected standalone , which it IS..but…the couple in the book, their entire relationship takes place in the previous book. This one picks up after they have broken up in high school and are now in college. You do get snippets in flashbacks of what their relationship was like before, but for me…I think it would have helped me connect to the characters and their connection with each other a lot better.

Jade and Wolf…man. My heart broke for both of them. They dated in high school. That all consuming young love that hurts while you’re in it as much as when it ends. And theirs comes crashing down in blaze of glory. Turning them from lovers to enemies.

The next time they see each other they are in college, and the hate between them is just as palpable. What’s even stronger than their hate for each other is the way they still love each other. But neither is ready or willing to admit it.

When friends and ex lovers collide, chaos ensues and Jade finds herself under Wolfs roof and under his control. And he absolutely uses that to his advantage. This is heavy push and pull….love , hate and everything in between. It was painful. It was heartbreaking. But it was also in a way healing watching them find their way back to each other.

I definitely need to re-read this book after I read the previous one and get a better grasp on their story 🩷

Thank you so much to Stevie J. Cole, L.P. Lovell , and Wordsmith Publicity for the opportunity to ARC read this book🩷

Going back to the Dayton characters felt so good! I love it when these authors write together, and once again, they didn't disappoint.
No Saint is the 4th book set in this universe, following Jade and Wolf after they broke up. This is a tale of blackmail, heartache, family, friendship. I laughed and 2anted to cry, felt deeply for the lost time and the missteps. But this is also a heartwarming book, don't worry about that.
If you love tough youny characters a little bit on the verge of insanity, this is for you!

The miscommunication trope often makes me want to bang my head against a wall and that was a large part of the book. Not my vibe but I finished it so that’s gotta count for something.

I loved Wolf! Jade bugged me a bit but was ok. Both of them drove me nuts with their refusal to say what they truly felt. They loved each other so much and both hurt each other so much with assumptions and not communicating. My heart broke a bit for them with the insecurities and feelings of rejection.

**MILD SPOILERS BELOW**

Overall I really enjoyed the book but Wolf tore me up at the end when he said he would rather die than lose her and literally before the words were out of his mouth he pushes her away. Wait. What!? The whole “I rather take a bullet” declaration didn’t make sense right there if Cole was going to have him kick her out at that moment.
And Jade really pissed me off when she thought it was ok to spend a summer away with another guy. Even if he was just a friend. No.

I would give this five stars alone just for Wolf because *sigh*

However, as much I was so excited to dive into this book and see all the gang from the Dayton series once more...it wasn't quite what I hoped for. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Long story short: I felt like despite the drawn out drama and angst they never truly resolved their previous issues so they could move forward. All they did was realize neither has blocked/ghosted one another and that they'd both been too stubborn and prideful to reach out to the other during their breakup. So, what was the point of them getting a second chance if they never really hashed out any of the big issues between them they began before their initial breakup???

Anyway, I think the biggest issue for me and what really rained on my enjoyment was the angst and lack of communication nonsense.

Angst was fine up until it felt like: oh we're still doing this? And then sure, their initial disconnect and lack of communication wasn't entirely any fault of their own due to outside manipulation but... at the end of the day these two were supposed to be young adults. And in many ways they still read like emotionally immature teenagers. But I could have accepted that annoying trait in both of them if we just hadn't kept circling the drain of their issues.

Particularly Jade's insecurities for which there were plenty. And while I did understand where they came from and all she had been through and the strength she'd needed to move past what she had been through...I also lost patience with her. Much of the time she'd just spiral for no reason about feeling worthless or not good enough for anyone let along Wolf. And I hated that, especially when they eventually get back together.

And let me say that waiting till basically 80% in the book for them to finally get back together for just a few peaceful chapters was freaking exhausting. By that point I felt like the book had lost its true direction in bringing these two trauma bonded soulmates back to one another.

Because that's what they were at the heart of it all. Trauma bonded, and sometimes it wasn't all that healthy no matter how much either spoke of how deep their love was for the other. Particularly from Jade's end considering how Wolf helped her through her darkest experience. But their love was strong and beautiful when they were able to get out of their own way and just let it be.

Ultimately the swinging back and forth of a badass pyro loving revenge artist Jade to what eventually felt like a whiney insecure and can't exist without Wolf doing everything for her Jade was disappointing, I guess.

And I think Wolf took too much shit from her tbh. I felt like Jade truly had a lot of issues and hangups and she was the one who initiated the "break" between her and Wolf that led to their two year break up.

So, sure I did feel bad for her at times but much of the time I kept thinking this was self inflicted pain from her. She never thought to explain to Wolf why she wanted a break "to just breathe" as she explained to us. Not when it first happened and not until much later and even then she barely explained anything. She never attempted to go see him in person to confront him about apparently "blocking" her and rather than fight for him she let her insecurities swallow her entirely while wallowing in her own self doubt and heartbreak and guilt.

And yet, throughout the entire book which is nearly centrally focused on Jade and her constant emotional rollercoaster and deep-seated insecurities, especially when it came to Wolf and other women. Not once did we explore how the break up affected Wolf.

Yes, Wolf would talk about how hurt and angry he was by her wanting a break and then blocking him. Just dropping him without explanation or fight, and how much that made him feel worthless. And that was about all we ever explored about how he felt about their break up.

Which I'll be honest kinda pissed me off that we focused entirely on mostly Jade and how the breakup affected her this entire time. Like, Wolf was clearly heartbroken and so angry with her, and even felt like he wasn't good enough for her and yet it's just a few throwaway mentions in his POV whereas for Jade it became her and the books entire personality.

And that was so very annoying considering she was the architect of her own disaster and their breakup. But not once do we explore that path or actually point a finger at Jade directly for the cause of both their heartache and anger the last two years.

Instead we see them acting like they hate one another, more so Wolf, while Jade continues to wallow in self doubt and self-pity while faking her hate of Wolf and her new hate for her cheating ex best friend and boyfriend Brent.

Like, don't get me started on Brent and how even Wolf suspected his shady ass yet Jade didn't believe him and fell right into his manipulative hands. Ugh, dude go off way too easy IMHO.

But yeah, I just couldn't take all the dragged out angst or drama. After some time, especially once they realized neither had ghosted or blocked one another, that someone else had did it, I felt like the drama and hot and cold crap became exhausting and just dragged the book down. Sorta felt like filler for a good while after that.

I just wanted them finding their way back to one another to be something else, I guess. It just felt a little too self-imposed hell type of situation. Because at the end of the day Jade thought Wolf ghosted her and blocked her, and Wolf thought she blocked him because neither of them could text or call one another after they began their "break"

But the thing is, while Jade's phone had been manipulated and Wolf's number had been blocked they both shared multiple friends. Yeah? They knew where the other lived. They knew their class schedule even. And yet...here they both were whining about their two year long breakup when neither one ever made any effort to make contact with the other outside of using their phones. Not once. Like, for fucking real? 🤬🤦🏻‍♀️🫩

That just felt incredibly immature and a bit disbelieving to me tbh. Especially when they were on campus together. Like what the hell? Sure, they each had their assumptions and both wanting the other to fight for their relationship but come on! If they actually loved each other, like truly could not let the other go, especially without an explanation, then I don't buy that neither wouldn't have attempted to make outside contact that wasn't a call or text knowing neither never delivered. Especially Wolf.

Honestly that about ruined the book for me along with Jade's insecurities.

I truly felt like Jade needed therapy and I hated it was never discussed or brought up. It was as if Wolf was her sole reason for surviving and coping with her assault and her strength to move past it was heavily built around his support. Which was such a bummer.

And to not actually explore her very obvious insecurities regarding Wolf and other women? Like we see her whine and drown in self doubt over comparing herself to the cheerleaders and such the entire book. We see her doubt her self worth and how she was basically not good enough for a guy like Wolf, mostly from how good looking he was. And even when at the end her insecurities finally exploded onto Wolf and he reassures her so sweetly she's the one he loves and wants we still don't explore that very big issue between them. Instead we dive into another issue that laid dormant most of the book which lead to Wolf pushing her away.

Like, no. Jade had major insecurity issues when it came to Wolf and being around other women. Even when they were together before their break up. Yet she never explained explicitly how watching him even be polite to his adoring female fan club bothered her back then and certainly not now when he had a crazy ex hookup chasing his ass. I mean, atleast she admitted how his past with Nora made her feel but it wasn't explored, it didn't open the door for him to even consider like damn if Jade can't trust him no matter his reassurances to her and him not doing anything to provoke her feelings of jealousy and insecurity with other women then how could they make something last, ya know? Like no one considered this was a HUGE red flag to potentially bigger issues in the future because Jade was so deeply insecure there was no way in hell their brief makeup and simply being together again miraculously fixed all that when they get engaged and are moving to Miami for his career. Especially with him remaining in the spotlight.

Ugh, man. I was just so excited for this book but the longer it dragged on the more frustrated I became. Though I loved seeing Hendrix's crazy ass and Monroe and Zepp again I just felt disappointed by the end.

Maybe if I was the type of reader to just accept a book at face value I could have loved this one. Alas, I'm the type that is thinking five chapters ahead and putting shit together while being annoyed at filler drama that could easily be cleared up if these idiots could just TRY to communicate 😂

My Rating: 4.5 stars!

**ARC was generously provided in exchange for my honest review.**

I would’ve waited an infinite number of years for this book and know it would be well worth waiting for.

FYI: It was 👏well. 👏worth. 👏the. 👏wait!

Never been more excited to get back to the Dayton series, and No Saint not only killed it, but it has me wanting more from their world! I’m not ready for it to be the end. Wolf, Jade, and the entire cast of characters, both old and new, had me completely and utterly captivated.

This book has caused me a savage hangover, and the only thing that’ll probably dig me out of it is by rereading the rest of the Dayton series (again).

I’ve said it in my review for No Prince (book one), other than Zepp, Wolf had immediately caught my eye. The minute there was even a romantic inkling of Wolf and Jade, I was all in. Their chemistry felt instantaneous and although they were a very minor subplot in Zeppelin and Monroe’s story, I thirsted after the mere mention of them.

Fast forward to this book— THEIR BOOK, and all the old lingering feels came flooding back. All the reasons I adored Wolf and Jade back then were magnified tenfold after finally getting the vivid details of their relationship now. It’s so grippingly addictive that I wished we had gotten to see their relationship in-depth when they had first started dating, and not just as summarised flashbacks.

But in saying that… I loved the premise, and the story itself delivered. Cole and Lovell know how to write, and write well. It was well-paced, with a constantly developing storyline. The backdrop is exceptionally vivid. The sights, the sounds, and the smells (yes, the smells) leaped off the page. I was easily transported to their surroundings. The writing had an amazing flow to it, and with a gradual build-up of anticipation to Wolf and Jade reconciling heightened the reading experience.

I lost count of how many times I swooned, or held my breath. I also hadn’t expected to get teary-eyed during certain parts of this book, but I did. There was a certain level of unpredictability that kept me on the edge of my seat. If you enjoy push-and-pull relationships, and delicious slow-burn romances that don’t cause you to rip out your hair in frustration, then there’s a good chance this book will be to your liking.

It’s told from dual POVs and seeing both the MCs trying to navigate their feelings for one another, and seeing them internally struggle with their past and present really gave this book a lot of dimensions. There’s complexity, a genuine history amongst the characters that makes the friendships, romantic relationships, and their overall interactions convincing to see, and progressive character growth.

There’s a mixture of laughter and angst. The atmosphere is relatively fun and light-hearted with the occasional wistfulness here and there. The writing is just so effortless to sink into. I was hooked and 100% invested within the first few pages. Cole and Lovell have already collaborated in several books in the past, and they’ve clearly got it down pat because it’s seamless. You can’t even tell it’s co-written.

I don’t gravitate towards YA/NA romance books as much these days, but Cole and Lovell are exceptions. Partly because although their characters are in their late teens/ early twenties, they have a certain level of maturity when it comes down to the nitty-gritty. Wolf and Jade deal with some very adult hardships, and it shows.

This book broaches on sensitive, yet relatable matters such as complicated familial dynamics, rough upbringing, poverty, illness, and death. Drug-dealing, petty crimes, alcohol consumption, bullying, and violence are also present. The amount of sexual content is fairly minimal, but spicy nonetheless. It’s intended for readers of age.

Although Wolf and Jade are the last of the original characters from this series to now have gotten a book, there were two new characters introduced that were very much a noteworthy part of the story, and I’m kinda hoping Cole and Lovell are hinting at a possible book in the future for them? Yes? Maybe? Pretty please?! Just putting it out there, because it seemed like unfinished business. 🤞

If you haven’t read the Dayton series, I recommend at least reading No Prince before starting this one as it gives you their backstory firsthand.

All in all, I couldn’t fault Wolf and I couldn’t fault Jade. Wolf with his charming, bad boy exterior, yet lowkey sweet, protective nature. Jade and her good-hearted personality with a tinge rebelliousness. They make opposites-attract so damn attractive! I loved how their relationship started and how it concluded in this book… roadblocks and all.

No Saint has gone straight to my list of comfort reads alongside the rest of the books in the series.

NO SAINT is the fourth instalment in the contemporary, new adult DAYTON SERIES romance series co-authored by Stevie J Cole, and LP Lovell. This is college seniors Wolf Brookes, and Jade Anderson’s story line. NO SAINT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Wolf and Jade) NO SAINT follows the acrimonious second chance relationship between college seniors Wolf Brookes and Jade Anderson. Both Jade and Wolf came from the struggling and hardened town of Dayton, and although their final year of college is fast coming to a close, the sins of the past aren’t far behind. A perceived betrayal approximately eighteen months earlier find our couple at odds; and a case of blackmail forces Jade and her friend Cassie to do as commanded but all is not as it appears to be, as Jade continues to struggle in the face of family secrets, and Wolf is about to confront the man who tried to destroy his life, threatening his future in the process.

The world building is detailed and complex as the Wolf and his friends / roommates ‘fundraise’ for a charity that is questionable at best. As Jade and Cassie succumb to the threats and blackmail of Wolf and his friend, Wolf finds himself questioning his future when the fallout threatens to take it all away. An impoverished town is the backdrop for our struggling couple, and their lack of money and success follows them to

The relationship between Jade and Wolf is one of second chances; a tempestuous rekindling that is threatened by issues of trust, jealousy, perceived betrayal and heart break. As Wolf struggles to prove he is worthy of a second chance, Jade’s intentions come to light, threatening any chance of a happily ever after. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate.

The colorful and questionable secondary and supporting characters include the return of Hendrix and Lola, Zepp and Monroe, Bellamy and Drew, as well as the embattled Cassie and Rogue Van De Kut; Jade’s ex Brent, and Wolf’s exes Nora and Meghan.

NO SAINT is a story of secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, poverty and struggle, forgiveness and love. The character driven premise is intriguing and heart breaking; the romance is emotional; the characters are desperate, determined and broken.

✨ “What are you setting fire to now, pyro?”…. Wolf had caused me plenty of pain, and he’d definitely been my weakness.✨

It’s been three years since I’ve been back with Dayton crew and it felt like no time had passed. No Saint by @ and @ seamlessly picked up again with our fav Dayton boys, this time giving Wolfs and Jades second chance to get it right. From high school loves to college enemies, they still had loads of tension and anger mixed with feelings and desire. Making a bad decision with her bestie Cassie, Jade finds herself at Wolf’s mercy and is forced to live with him and be at his beck and call for all his needs. As angry as Jade is at the situation she found herself in, she starts to see glimpses of the boy she knew and loved and feelings start coming back that she thought were pushed down. For Wolf, he struggles with having Jade in his space as he fights his anger towards her for not being there when he was going through a crisis. If they both had only communicated with each other, they would have avoided so much hurt and just spent all that lost time loving on each other…which they are good at. I adore this group of friends and all their craziness. Here’s hoping we get Cassie and Rogue soon because the world needs her level of crazy.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is the story of Wolf and Jade. These two have a past and it didn't end very well. They were high school sweethearts. She is really smart and he is a great football player. But when she needed a break and then started dating another guy he did the same thing and tried to move on with a different girl. Now they are in the same college and can't stand the very sight of each other. She is trying her best to make it though without running into him but she also has this temper that, when she is angry she wants to light the world on fire. He is also not one the right side of the law. He steals and sells things he shouldn't. He and his friends even had to create a fraternity so they could all stay together. When she is out for revenge because her boyfriend cheated on her, he beats her to setting his car one fire and steals it. But, when her best friend takes something from his best friend they are caught read handed on the cameras in the house. Their solution? To make the girls live with them and have live in maids. As you can imagine the girls are angry and her best friend is out for revenge. But not Jade. That's just not her style. But having to spend all this time this close to Wolf is hard on Jade. Especially when she begins to see glimpses of the boy she once loved. I loved reading this book. I laughed at the revenge happening and I really loved the connection that Jade and Wolf had. There are twists and turns. Lies and secrets. But most of all this is a story of true love that conquers all.

Wolf Brookes was the best football player Pikestown had seen in years. He was no saint. He’d been the typical bad boy his entire life,
Jade Anderson is trying to survive Dayton life and support her parents since her Dad’s illness.

I really tried to like this story as I have read all the prior books. I just disliked Jade’s character a lot. Wolf did ALL these things to show he cares but it wasn’t ever enough. It seemed like he was just trying to make up for a mistake he never made. And once the miscommunication finally gets cleared, they get into another fight! I mean Wolf is the dream book boyfriend stepping up when he never had to. Also very slow burn so didn’t even have many spicy scenes to enjoy. I think this is the end of the series and the epilogue didn’t feel like enough for that. The ‘No Romeo’ epilogue was much better.
There was also alot of buildup with Cassie and Rogue, then nothing. Seemed pointless in the end.

What I did enjoy were the small cameos of the Dayton crew and overall witty banter and writing.

Jade fell in love with Wolf when they were in high school however that relationship imploded in spectacular fashion and since then have become adversaries. That pattern has continued to college but now the friction is about to escalate when she finds herself under his control.

Wolf has moved past the demise of his relationship with Jade so when he has the opportunity for payback he isn’t about to let the opportunity slide. The more that he can demand of her when it comes to menial tasks only increases the animosity between them as she isn’t about to just take what he is doing without fighting back.

Every interaction between Jade and Wolf only reinforces the deep feelings they have for each other but are trying to deny. The banter between them is snarky, the characters are intriguing, and their journey includes surprises, humor and an undeniable love.

This is Wolf and Jade’s story.
These two have a messy and complex past, and now they are at college, they still have not spoken to each other since their breakup. Jade decides to break into Wolf’s house, but she is caught and now blackmailed to be the little sister at the frat party house.
No spoilers: this is a must read!
This is a well written story which is easy to read, with family, friendships, emotions, extortion, secrets, lies, enemies / lovers, revenge, revelations, forced proximity, second chances, humor, witty banter, morally grey, bad decision, and love, which leads to an entertaining, college romance.
I look forward to reading more from these talented authors’ whose work I highly recommend.

“The way I love you scares the shit out of me.”- Wolf

Can I just say, God bless Dayton, and it's hot af bad boys.

My heart broke for Jade, poor girl just can't catch a break! Stevie & LP don't sugar coat growing up in Dayton, dirt, drugs and poverty all around, and she's just trying to get through.

Forced proximity is the absolute best for building up sexual tension! Especially with ex's that clearly still have feelings for each other. Unfortunately communication is not one of their strongest traits.

Wolf may not be a saint, but he would set the world on fire for Jade. Well, actually it would probably be the other way around lol

A girl is blackmailed into being a live-in maid in the same frat house where he ex lives. Their breakup was complicated, but being together under the same roof again proves to be even more explosive.

I really like the Dayton series but unfortunately this was my least favorite entry in the series so far. The second chance plotline was too similar to book three, and the story could've used another layer of depth to make it more compelling. For pros, Cassie (Jade's friend who also gets blackmailed) repeatedly pranking her ex Rogue was entertaining, and Jade and Wolf's romance arc was genuinely sweet as they slowly overcame the miscommunication that had originally driven them apart.

This second chance enemies to lovers story was heartbreaking. Two college kids fighting for their future while fighting each other. Miscommunication between these two, Wolf and Jade, was agonizing. Their relationship started as high school sweethearts whose immaturity got them so twisted that they broke up without ever talking. The steam between them never stopped. A crazy situation turned into the best thing for both of them. Love never dies it just goes into remission when you don’t feed it. They’d suffer but eventually exes, their bodies and college life has them falling back into each other’s arms. Will their love last? You’ll have to grab a copy to find out!

I stayed up way too late reading Jade and Wolf’s story, but sucked me in immediately.

I love a good enemies to lovers and boy, this one delivered. And Wolf certainly delivered all the bad boy vibes, but beneath that rough exterior he was a softy for her (you know…once they finally figured out their relationship out).

Jade, is a good girl, with pyromaniac tendencies, who gives as good as she gets. Their story has forced proximity, twists and turns, a lot of miscommunication, overall, a really great book!

Really enjoyable read. Nothing super exciting in the plot but a really good second chance romance, which isn’t normally a trope I am drawn to. There were a couple plot points (grades, ex-gf, stalker, dad’s illness) brought up that I wish had been fleshed out more or made me feel like I needed to reread previous books as a refresher for things I missed. Also some of the miscommunications between the characters were frustrating and silly but overall I liked both the characters. Appreciated that the MMC wasn’t a jerk or crazy. They seemed to genuinely care about each other.

Wolf and Jade

This story follows Wolf and Jade and it is not your nice and sweet romance love story.
We have secrets, lies and revenge with those characters.
Wolf and Jade once were a couple but young love does not always last and so they had a break up and with the following acts they hurt each other.
Now at college, they are in each other's orbits again and are enemies. And then things are getting out of hand for Jade and her best friend and they are in a very difficult situation with Wolf and his friends.
But Jade has her issues with the forced proximity. But she also sees pieces of the boy she once loved.
A rocky journey to a happy end with the outcome that love is bigger than everything else.

I was so happy to finally read this book after reading No Prince and it did not disappoint!

This explosive and intense story begins with high school sweethearts Wolf and Jade going through a messy nasty break up as high school sweethearts do.
However, these 2 end up in the same college, and as much as they try to stay away from each other they end up in each other’s orbits.

Something H-U-G-E happens and they have to choice but be together.

Fasten your seatbelts folks, you know when this author dynamic duo collaborates and go there…they go there H-A-R-D!

Told in dual POV, Wolf and Jade offer up a twisted fast paced story where the main ingredients are lies, secrets and revenge but the main flavor is second chances.
How??

It's been awhile since I read the first three books in this series. So, I felt like I went into this one blind and unbiased. Jade and Wolf had love and lost it. This story is about their second chance and it revolves around, you guessed it, blackmail. Wouldn't be a Dayton Series without blackmail and drugs. Still. It was a good read. The chemistry between the two didn't feel as strong as the characters in the previous books. 4 stars. Because Squishy is the best dog.

I'd been looking forward to Wolf & Jade's story, but it ended up being my least favourite in the series. I also found myself not all that keen to keep picking it up; it definitely took longer to get into than the others.

It was still fine, and I did enjoy it, but this and Hendrix's story have probably been the worst two - possibly because they both knew the girls in the past and their stories ended up being too similar

I’m so disappointed. I’ve been waiting for Wolf and Jade’s book since No Prince, and this was not it. It was juvenile, generic, they acted like every other character in the series. It was cheesy, and messy (not the enjoyable kind). The angst wasn’t there, conflict resolved way too quickly and the ending was repetitive and so boring I started skimming.
So sad to write this since I do generally love LP Lovell and Stevie J. Cole’s writing and books.

This was a book that I have wanted to read since the characters were introduced and we got hints of their relationship. Wolf and Jade is a multi layered second chance romance. I liked that we haven't got rich parents in the background waiting to come in and save the day. They are both struggling and trying everything to just survive on a daily basis. Their past is messy and complicated because they haven't spoken since it all fell apart. I loved Cassie and her attempts to get back at Rogue, she had me laughing so hard but I wouldn't want to get on her bad side. Secrets and lies are a theme running throughout the storyline with some twists and revelations along the way. The path to reconciliation is rocky for these two but worth it in the end.

This is a bad boy good girl story. Jade has had to deal with more than she thought she would & making the choices to do bad things isn’t what she was anticipating when she went to college. Wolf has always been the bad boy with a big heart and he will do anything for the ones he loves. The two of them together is hard sometimes but when it isn’t it’s just like the fairy tales.

I enjoyed Wolf and Jades book.

There was so much misunderstanding between these two.

It hurt to see them both struggle just to be in each other's proximity. Slowly as the misunderstandings start to unravel they start to grow close again as much as others don't want them together they push through.

I definitely recommend 👌

* I have never been happier than when I saw that No Saint had a release date! I’ve missed this Dayton crew so much!! Jade and Wolf are the stuff of dirty dreams! Their second chance/enemies to lovers trope is amazing!! I loved being able to catch up with the fiery Monroe and the hilarious Hendrix as well! I absolutely love this series and the world it is set in! It reminds you that not every great romance book is about millionaires!
