a nice, engaging and enlightening meditation on one American's experience of Zen practice in Japan during the middle of the 20th century. the book does well to stay engaging and fresh in its storytelling, while offering simple and honest insight into a tradition that was and still is misunderstood, or not understood at all.
ZEN not something I thought I would like reading about but it was such a pleasant book to read. very relaxing to read, perhaps there is something to it all??
