Missing

It’s a good little quick hot story, but it could have been more. I felt like chapters and much needed scenes were missing. If you like breeding romance, and lots of sex you’ll love this.
I’ll be trying the author again, hopefully next book more story line.

This book is definitively for readers who crave explicit, high-heat, and morally ambiguous dynamics, delivering exactly what it promises: a Bratva king who claims his curvy queen through a virgin auction.

From the very first pages, I was confronted with a premise designed to challenge: Sierra, a young woman struggling financially to protect her younger siblings, finds herself on an auction block, forced to sell her virginity to the highest bidder. Enter Aleksandr Maksimov, the Bratva King, a man described as "six-foot-three of pure sin wrapped in designer suits," with "ink-covered muscles and eyes that promise to ruin me." The wedding scene, where he commands her family to witness her becoming "untouchable. Loved. Protected," was a powerful display of his claim.

While the intensity and the specific nature of some of the dark themes (virgin auction, extreme possessiveness, non-consensual initial acts that quickly turn consensual for the heroine) might not be for every reader, "Bought & Bred by the Bratva" fully delivers on its promise for those who enjoy this niche subgenre. It's a fast-paced, unhinged ride that leaves you breathless.

My Verdict: If you're looking for a dark, explicit, and intensely possessive mafia romance with an age-gap, ex's dad, and virgin auction trope, "Bought & Bred by the Bratva" will undoubtedly deliver. It's a wild ride that doesn't shy away from its darker elements, offering a unique and unforgettable reading experience.

2⭐️: The book didn’t quite resonate with me, and while my experience wasn’t remarkable, I did finish it. It had some redeeming qualities and potential but fell short in execution. Recommendable, though with some reservations.
3⭐️: Good read, but didn’t quite stand out. Still worth recommending to others.
4⭐️: Really enjoyed it and stayed engaged throughout. Would read the book again. Definitely recommendable.
5⭐️: Incredible writing that made me deeply connect with the characters. I was completely absorbed in the world and didn’t want it to end. This book stayed with me even when I wasn’t reading it. I'd gladly reread it and highly recommend it to everyone!.

Blech. I wish I could see what other reviewers who are going gaga are talking about with this book. I enjoy smut but this was pointless, repetitive, with not enough details in some areas, and an overuse of words in others.

The MMC didn’t sound wildly dissimilar to the FMC. She’s an 18 y.o. virgin. He’s an idk-how-old-but-old-enough-to-be-her-dad mafia ringleader??? Idk. I know nothing about what kind of business he’s in aside from popping off men he doesn’t like or who threatens his “relationship” with FMC. His way of speaking didn’t give Russian adult mob boss.

And was he supposed to be Russian? It would’ve been nice if Sierra (FMC) mentioned something about his voice to let us know. It was always just the same things she went to as to why she was drooling over him: big arms and shoulders, fitted black shirt, angry cock. That was it. I mean don’t get me wrong. I like that stuff, but anything else? His eye color went from dark(unclear color) to blue to green. He sounds just as immature as the FMC. He’s super possessive but not in the “ooh, he wants me bad and I love it” way. More like the “you in danger, girl” way. I found myself deeply frightened for this girl and constantly annoyed at the choices made by both characters.

I had no idea what he liked about her to make him so possessive that he, a grown-ass man, couldn’t do his job without thinking about her, when he’d only seen her one time in his house for maybe 2 minutes with no conversation. That’s it. And now he’s insanely feral for weeks. Because of her body. Oh & because she was a virgin.😒🧐

The “ex’s father” trope was barely there and laughable in the moments it did exist. I didn’t get any father-son dynamic. This kid could have just as easily been working for Aleks (the MMC). And other side characters that existed offered nothing. They were cardboard cereal in a bowl of tap water.

There was too much usage of “it looks,” “it seems,” and “it’s like.” One page had “it was like” THREE times! These took away from the certainty of the story and character experiences. I’m not an editor but found myself deeply editing this book and wanting so much more from it.

Another big thing for me was the telling (oh yes, way more telling than showing. About a 90/10 ratio) of their first time sleeping together. That did not sound like a virginal experience. Rather, an experience that a virgin would imagine sex to be like.

Oh and it’s insta-lust, which wasn’t listed or maybe I just hadn’t realized it. This book could’ve used more trigger warnings, too—like someone else’s (red!) bodily fluids on another person during an intimate scene, for one. Because that just read so cringey and unsanitary.

There were two small moments I liked in terms of the writing and imagery because the author showed us something rather than told us. One passage was: “He pulls his belt loose with one hard yank. The sound makes my whole body jolt.” Another was: “Hot breath and cheap cologne assault my nostrils even with my clothes and hair permeated with the smell of fried food.” Those I liked. They were great. Those two moments and the cover were the best parts of this book for me.

Otherwise, the writing overall felt immature with no richness to it. IT WAS LIKE it was published right after it was written. I question whether it was read through—even once—before being published. Smutty, quick insta-lust can be done nicely, but this didn’t hit for me. It was rushed, inexperienced fast food that left me hungry for a real steak.

I’m morbidly curious to read just one other book from this series to see how the writing compares, given the series is done by a collective of authors. But it may take me a moment to get there after this.

Short book but loved it

Sierra is dating Ioann the Mafia boss son. Ioann is going to take her to meet his dad. She didn’t want to go meet him. She’s heard stories about him. She really didn’t even want to still be with Ioann but with her family issues she stays. They get to his father house and she walks in behind him. She walks in and see the place and it’s beautiful. She’s about to step back outside and she heard his steps. Ioann father was coming downstairs. Once’s they gazes collide she knew nothing will be the same. When Aleks see her he is breathless, she’s not the usual girls his son brings. She’s thick and beautiful, he can’t stop looking at her. She’s real not plastic like the other girls. He asked if she’s lost and she tells him she was waiting on Ioann. He introduces himself and so does she. Ioann shows up and tells his dad there leaving. Aleks was thinking I might have to put a bullet in his head so he can get his hands on Sierra. She’s in the car and Ioann is blabbing away but her mind is on his dad. They way he was eye fucking her and how he bit his bottom lip. Ioann asked her to stay the night and she told him it wasn’t going to happen and that’s when he told her she’s not what he needs. Sierra said it wasn’t fine by her and slams his car door and then he speeds off. She’s back to her routine school, work and taking care of her siblings. She goes to work but her mind is elsewhere where. On a certain zaddy. She got home only to see it’s a mess and she finds her brother and sister holding each other. There mom and dad came back, they where looking for money. Then a man came but then she heard movements and there was the man standing. She asked him who the hell he was and he told her your parents owe me money. His there to collect he grabbed her by the throat and told her she has a week to pay up if not her or her siblings will be paying the price. She’s calling her best friend Tasha. Tasha was the one who told her about the auction, the one that pays a small fortune for a virgin. Tasha picks up and she tells her that she needs to get into that auction. Tasha asked if she was sure and she told her she needs to. Kleks can’t get her of his mind. She’s become his obsession. He had his people look into her and now he knows everything about her. He found out that her and his son broke up right after they left his house. He tells himself he should want to be with her but that is not helping him at all. Sierra is at the club where the auction is being held. They call her number and she goes on stage. She’s now focused on the people around and that’s when she see a familiar face. Aleks is in the audience and she see his sitting in the corner with his eyes on her. Aleks went to the auction to get his mind of Sierra not know she was going to be there. He can’t believe she’s there and why is she there. When the starting bids begin Aleks keeps out bidding the other clients. He bid millions for her and won. He walked to the stage and grabbed her. He can’t see her fear but also relive. What will happen to Sierra now that her ex dad bought her? Will she able to give herself to him? Will she be able to get her siblings safe? What will happen next for Sierra? Must read the book I gave you a little about the story. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

new author for me and sadly this book isn't well written. there is very little plot other than he helps her family and it boils down to an older man mid 40's lusting after a young virgin girl roughly 19 whom he buys at a virginity auction when he's surprised to see her there. she needs the money to save her siblings. she's his son's ex girlfriend. The bulk of the story is him taking her virginity right away after arriving home multiple times then when she's sore roughly taking her back virginity despite it being very painful and with no prep and her saying its too much repeatedly but he forces more on her anyway and of course she suddenly loves it and then going right back to rough v sex multiple times again despite her being in pain. no recovery time soon as she wakes its right back to more rough sex. every encounter is rough sex despite her becoming pregnant with no consideration for the safety of the pregnancy or her comfort and unrealistically she just loves it all regardless which is just silly esp for a sheltered innocent virgin girl 25 yrs younger than him. he doesn't seem to really care about her at all beyond fulfilling his constant lust for her although he's supposed to fall in love with her. It just reads like unrealistic nonsense to be honest. no young virgin would ever act that way after such events happening and she seems to have no back bone to stand up to him or stop him etc. she just blithely goes along with everything like mouse. never says no to anything never questions anything doesn't seem to be able to think for herself in any way. there's also literally nothing to do with bratva in this story other than a mention here and there in passing that thats his job. the entire book to me seemed ridiculous. i would not recommend this book.

Sierra will do anything for her two siblings, she has to raise $10,000 to pay parents debt, otherwise they’ll be taken
Sierra has no option but to sell the only thing she has of value her innocence otherwise the debt collector will return in a week’s time and he will take her younger siblings. On the stage she is treated like a piece of meat, unknown faces with too much money and no morals looking for women and girls they can buy and use for own pleasure.
In the crowd she spotted Aleksander Maksimov and he was bidding on her and he had been the winning bidder, he had been furious she had not come to him for help and now she was his and Sierra was attracted to him and this was the beginning of a love story, her life and Jamal and Nia’s lives would be changed forever.
Aleks is all that Sierra could have dreamed of he loves her siblings and they are enamoured with the 6ft 3” tattooed giant that has become their protector and playmate and the future father to their impending brother or sisters’ birth and they are all excited, including Aleksander who cannot keep his hands or eyes off his beautiful woman.
I guarantee that readers will not be able to put this book down once they begin reading, it’s a totally riveting action filled read.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Aleksandr first sees Sierra when his son brings her to his house. He is immediately obsessed and despises his son even more when he finds out he actually dumps Sierra that night. Sierra, desperate to come up with money to pay a moneylender her parents owe takes part in a virgin auction. Aleks is there to buy someone to take his mind off his obsession so when he sees Serra standing up on the block pays $10 million to claim her! He takes all her virgin holes that night then goes and offs the moneylender. Found it a bit gross he went back to have sex with her still with the blood of the murder on his hands. Aleks was sweet with her siblings, the tea party scene was lovely. Despite him bringing her siblings into his home and under his protection, when he leaves for a few weeks, Sierra starts thinking he is done with her and starts looking for another place for them to stay. This did not make sense to me. Even if that was the case, she should have had the cut of $10 million to pay for this so why would she risk the safety of her siblings never mind herself and her unborn child looking at dodgy areas. She was with Aleksandr’s son in the first place to escape her crappy life a little bit and assume she let Aleks dominate her because he could look after her. OTT, violence, and lots of rough sex.

I didn’t know what I was walking into, but Aleksandr Maksimov completely wrecked me. This book sinks its claws in from page one and never lets up. The setup is pure chaos in the best way: a virgin auction, Bratva royalty, and the ex’s dad trope taken to filthy, feral heights.

Sierra is everything I want in a heroine. Smart, protective, and doing what she has to for the people she loves. She might feel out of control, but she never stops making her own choices. Watching her fall into obsession and safety with a man like Aleks is equal parts unhinged and emotional.

And Aleks? He’s a monster. Possessive, brutal, devoted. He doesn’t ask, he takes. And somehow it works. Every look, every filthy promise, every act of violence in her name just makes it hit harder. He’s not here to play nice. He’s here to claim.

It’s intense. It’s messy. It’s hot enough to melt steel. And underneath all that feral energy, it’s a love story. A dark one, but still a love story. If you want something twisted, obsessive, filthy, and a little ridiculous in the best possible way, Bought & Bred by the Bratva is it. I devoured it.

Sierra is an 18-year-old old curvy girl who takes care of her 2 younger siblings as her parents are junkies. When they skip town, she and her siblings are threatened unless she pays their debt. Aleksander "Aleks" is the hunky, ruthless, head of the bratva and her ex's father. When the two met previously, they were both attracted to one another. Now, she is getting ready to auction off her virginity to settle her parent's debt. Aleks sees her, wins her, and has every intention of claiming and keeping her. And she might just let him. The chemistry between these two was pure fire. I'm shocked my Kindle didn't spontaneously combust. And we got a great HEA after a bit of drama. I loved it!!.

Sierra finds herself in a situation she never expected, and ends up in even stranger circumstances before it is all over. Aleks is older, and his son dated Sierra before. But all bets are off when he discovers she is on the auction block....and no one is touching what belongs to him. He is obsessed with Sierra and she is not afraid of him or how intense his feelings are for control. She is safe and her family is safe, plus she falls under Aleks spell quickly. Once he has her he is not letting her go and that is about it.... This is a short, intense, and sizzling hot story with some drama, family, obsession, danger and a lot of passion swirled around two characters that you end up liking.

Quickie Review: This was a quick read that was entirely made of smut and very minimal (minuscule really) plot. One of the only clues that this was even remotely a Bratva romance was in the title alone. But lordy was this book scorching and I inhaled every word. And it all had to do with the way Aleks is obsessed with Sierra, his son’s ex girlfriend. Oh the scandal. I couldn’t get enough of their (smutty) romance and I can’t wait to see what else this author comes up with. One thing I have learned about Imani Jay after only 2 books, is that she is giving us all the smutty while giving us a little vacation from reality. Enjoy the short trip. Life will still be waiting on you once you are finished. 5 Stars.

The MMC Aleksandr is a straight up Mafia Running Alpha Zaddy. He meets his son’s latest girlfriend Sierra, and is taken a back by her. Our FMC Sierra has a lot on her plate trying to keep a roof over her siblings heads and dealing w/ her trifling parents financial debt. She is a true blue, young, and unselfish heroine. Imani Jay packed a lot of story in a very quick read. This book had drama, violence, a virgin auction, insta-love, and a HEA. BTW it’s a freakin hot and steamy read. This is the type of read where you wish it was longer but you knew what you were getting and loved every minute. If you like a jam packed, age gap, off the Richter scale heat missel then this is a must read for you!

This was another wild and OTT age gap romance for the series and I loved seeing Aleks step in and be so protective of Sierra...while still getting what he wanted ;P The moment Aleks sees Sierra, he's smitten. She can't take her eyes off him but she has other things to worry about - mainly her younger siblings and the loan shark hassling them for money to pay their parents' debt off. He's at an exclusive club and is shocked to see her on the auction block, the fastest way to deal with the loan shark... What follows is a ton of hot chemistry in action and a man not only willing to remove anyone threatening his woman, but also invested in her family. So swoon-worthy! I enjoyed their romance and look forward to the next book in the series :D

This is the story of Sierra and Alexander. Sierra was initially dating his son, but their relationship began to fray, and she was no longer happy. One day, she meets his father, Alexander. Shortly after, his son leaves her, and he breaks off the relationship. Circumstances land her in a safe place where men can bid on women. Meanwhile, Alexander can't seem to forget her, and all he can think about is her. When he goes to an auction to clear his head and find someone, he's surprised to see her standing there. From that moment on, it's clear she's his, and he'll do anything to protect her and keep her safe. A fantastic Bratva romance, and definitely recommended!

Cute But Rushed

I like how the FMC is a great big sister, but I don’t understand why the book is so rushed. It could have been a lot longer because I have so many questions. Why does the MMC have that terrible relationship dynamic with his son? What happened to Ioann’s mom? Did the FMC agree to her parents being at the wedding? What is to become of her relationship with her parents? Where did Aleks find her parents? Where did Aleks go when the FMC said she had not seen him for weeks and was ready to leave him? I hope these two’s story is embedded in the other books in the story somehow so that I can have those questions answered. It would be nice if all the books in the series are connected like if there’s a book about her best friend Tish?

Sirenna's parents owe money to the wrong people and she's decided to put herself up for auction to pay them back. Alexsandr Maksimov is a Bratva and her ex's dad. When her ex took her to his dad's house they had an instant connection so she is surprised when he's the one that won and gets to take her home!

This book is high on spice, and the scenes are very steamy! He's dominant and offered his protection to her and her family and Sierra is sweet and innocent. They fit well together, and I read the book in one go!

Sierra’s life is not easy, her parents owe money and she needs to raise the money or her siblings will be taken away by the debt collector. She has nothing to sell but herself her will do anything for her two siblings, she has innocence. Sierra finds herself at an auction selling her self and feeling like nothing until she see Aleksander Maksimov . The father of man she dated. Aleksander wins and is spitting feathers that she did come to him for help.

Aleksandr Maksimov can’t stop thinking about Sierra after meeting her and in a bid to find someone to get her out of his system finds her instead at a virgin auction and goes ballistic…and millions later she is his.
Enjoyed this short read with its nice writing, good characters, family dynamics, and scorching hot steam, in a very entertaining Bratva read. HEA.

Aleksandr has become obsessed with his son's girl. He decides to attend an auction to find someone to forget her, but there she is on stage. There is no way anyone is claiming his girl, she is his.

This is an over the top, older alpha man claiming. But he will make her his queen. This a dark romance and may be triggering for some.

Fun little hot 4 star read

Imani Jay has THE perfect recipe for short, spicy, insta love reads. The kind of book the fits exactly in between massive or emotional books as a sorbet! Cleans the palate for a näughty break between hard hitters and I love it.
I’ve only read a few by her but she has become a one click author for me for sure. The o my thing I don’t love is the h always?! Has to be curvy. Other than that? The spïce is right and I get to have a fun little side adventure.
All in all, a fun read to put a steamy AF smile on my face and allow me to get lost in a quick taboö world!

This series of insta love, mafia obsession love stories are great summers escapes and reads. Bought & Bred By The Bratva has a very intense older mafia dad that takes one look at his son's soon-to-be ex, and he falls in love and changes her life for the better. I thought the MMC was over the top and rude to anyone that was not his love, but I could forgive that because of the way he took care of her and her brother and sister. He gave her the fairytale and was not afraid to let her know how he felt.

Imani Jay can write a Bratva dom like none other. Buying your son’s ex at a virgin auction should be big no no-unless your son is a jerk who doesn’t know what he has even after it’s gone. But this zaddy is more than willing to show him. Aleks was a softie when it came to Sierra. He was a dominant in every sense of the word when it came to Sierra-but he also cared for her and her siblings. And let’s be honest-who wouldn’t want a hot mob daddy killing the person who threatens your life?

Bust out your fan ladies! This was scorching hot. I do not recommend reading this with other people in the room unless you have a top tier poker face. This certainly had me blushing.

Aleksander wanted her and let nothing stop him from having her. Not even the fact she was his son's ex-girlfriend.

She needed someone to provide for her and protect her and her loved ones. He showed her what it meant to belong to a man feral with his need to possess her.

He likes it rough, rolls with a daddy kink, and likes him some blood play. For an innocent virgin, Sierra is down for him and only him. Confused novice author???

I think the author was confused. In happy I have the kindle unlimited otherwise I would have. Even pi$$ed if I had paid for this. The male lead starts with blue eyes and then they become green. There are grammatical errors. The author doesn’t clarify setting or timing. It seems like she knows she is pregnant after 24 hours. I hope this was her first book because the writing level is novice at best.
I will say the characters are interesting and the $ex scenes are hot.
