My review may be more on the translation than the writing, but I found that something was missing in the writing. To be fair, I haven't read part 1, but I think you could pick this story up from part 2 and follow along. The story is reminiscent of Minority Report, but the characterization is a bit flat. The plot starts out with time traveling inventor Peter Wheller recapping his success from book 1 before a future crime happens and he finds out he will murder his wife a month from now. He must work to clear his name and save his wife. There were a few critical typos and spelling mistakes that altered names which while not jarring, did vex me a little bit. If you like sci-fi and are looking for a brisk read, this book may be the one for you.
‘False Accusations’ is a quick, engaging thriller built around time-travel, where the main character, Peter Wheller, is arrested for a murder that has not yet occurred. The story moves rapidly, the plot is cohesive, and the end has a good twist. My main critique is the dialogue; it often didn’t sound natural, and, to me, the characters ended up sounding similar, which occasionally distracted me from the story. Yet overall, it’s an entertaining, well-paced sci-fi thriller that’s worth a read.
