Some risks are worth taking.

Marley is out of options. Her dream of dancing for a small ballet company isn't paying the bills, and she needs a job - fast. Lucky for her, she lands one at Prescott Investment Corp, one of the biggest firms in the city. Everyone loves her.

Except her new grumpy boss.

Theo is ruthless, brooding, and built on routine. He doesn't do small talk, office friendships, or unnecessary distractions. And Marley? She's all three, wrapped in a package of sunshine and mischief.

The more time they spend together, the harder she is to ignore. And when keeping her at arm's length stops feeling like an option, Theo realizes something unthinkable.

That Marley might be the one risk he's willing to take.

Amelia discovered her love for writing in third grade when her teacher praised her story about hidden treasure as "phenomenal." Pairing this early encouragement with years of obsessively watching "Notting Hill" and "You’ve Got Mail," it's no surprise Amelia now writes contemporary romance novels. When she's not writing or reading, Amelia spends her time raising her two fierce daughters or enjoying late night pizza with her husband.

Amelia Chasen never disappoints!! I ate this book up so fast, I could not put it down!! I loved Marley and how she pushed herself to learn the skills needed for her job and become the best she could in the parameters needed, despite all the obstacles facing her! Seeing her strength and dedication to pursue both her job and her passion, and to do both well, was absolutely beautiful!! And Theo was absolutely the sweetest, once you get past the grump facade, and the way that he tried to do anything and everything for Marley, without making her feel alienated, was just perfection! I loved how he grew and learned to accept the love and life that he wanted for himself, and work to heal from his past trauma! I just loved these two so much, and getting to watch them come together was just beautiful! And the side characters we got to meet were amazing, and I cannot wait for more!! Overall, this was an amazing book, and it absolutely cements Amelia as an auto-recommend, auto-read author!!! 5 stars; 2.5 chili peppers

From the second these two characters popped up in a previous Amelia Chasen book, I knew I would love them. All I Want was such an incredible story of love and fighting for what you want your life to look like. Both main characters have gone through traumatic things in their past and both are learning how to move forward through grief and difficult circumstances. I loved the way they were both able to lean on each other in such a natural way and both brought out the best in each other. He’s a grumpy billionaire CEO, and she’s a struggling dancer who needs a job that pays the bills and ends up as his assistant after a long string of assistants that got fired. I loved the tension and banter and the grumpy/sunshine, opposites attract tropes!

This book breathed life back into my love for reading. I’ve been in a serious reading slump lately, but All I Want completely pulled me out of it. Theo and Marley’s story reminded me why I fell in love with romance novels in the first place — the kind that make your heart ache, your cheeks flush, and your soul feel seen.

Marley is everything I adore in a heroine — witty, fierce, and unshakably strong even when life doesn’t go her way. She’s sunshine with a spine of steel.

And Theo… oh Theo. Moody, broody, and so deeply compassionate it hurts. He’s the kind of hero who makes falling for him feel inevitable, no matter how hard he tries to resist.

Their chemistry is perfection — that can’t-look-away tension that builds and burns until it’s impossible not to feel every single spark.

💼 Tropes: age gap • grumpy x sunshine • enemies to lovers • office romance • super slow burn

If you’re a sucker for slow burns that sizzle, characters that feel, and stories that stay with you, this is one you’ll want at the top of your TBR when it releases.

Review

Characters: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Amelia Chasen has done it again. I absolutely adored Theo and Marley. The depth and emotion from both characters was so beautiful to read. I loved Marley’s personality, especially how determined she is. Reading about everything she went through even up until she was hired as his assistant was heartbreaking and I just wanted to give her a big hug for most of the book. She is such a lovable character and I loved reading her happy ending. As for Theo, I loved him so much. I liked that he was grumpy and guarded, but had a major soft spot for Marley. He was so sweet to his core even if he couldn’t always show it. I also wanted to give him a big hug too. I just loved them so much, they are definitely my favorite characters in the Amelia Chasen universe.

Romance: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
(Stefon Voice) This romance had everything. Grumpy x Sunshine, Boss x Employee, Age Gap, and Slow Burn.

Marley & Theo are one of my favorite book couples ever. They had great tropes and writing. I am not overall a slow burn girlie because a lot of times I end up getting bored, but not a single moment of this story was boring. There were so many meaningful moments between them that happened way before they got together and they just made you want them together that much more. I was so filled with anticipation every chapter. They were just so cute and good together, I feel like nothing I saw will do them justice, so just trust me and READ! THIS! BOOK!

Spice: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The spice was so worth the wait. It wasn’t some ground breaking, overly dirty spice, but in this case, it absolutely did not need to be. I feel like there are times where spice is heavily relied on in a story and not a side part of their relationship like it should be. Don’t get me wrong, I love heavy, over the top spice from time to time, but this book didn’t need anything more than what it had, a beautiful compliment to Marley and Theo’s already incredible love story.

Storyline: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I loved this storyline! The concept, the setup, the execution, I loved it all so much.

Writing/Pacing: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love Amelia’s writing style and she’s one author that’s consistently good about finding the perfect pace for her books. It had the right amount of description as well as building of the characters backstories. I don’t have a single complaint.

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Once again, Amelia Chasen has not disappointed me. If you haven’t read one of her books yet, you are missing out big time! I absolutely loved this book and I can’t wait to buy a physical copy.

Thank you Amelia Chasen for allowing me to be a part of your ARC team!

All I Want was such a cute workplace romance🥹 and exactly what I needed right now too! I just finished a fantasy that took so much brain power, so it was so refreshing to be able to read a fun romance from an amazing indie author😍

I'm a sucker for some of the tropes in this one, and I really enjoyed how Amelia wrote them into the story! Marley and Theo were precious and the ultimate definition of grumpy x sunshine. The way they kept coming back around to each other despite his best efforts to stay away🥹

Although this was a cute romance, it includes some heavy topics front and center. They're handled with care, but please check the triggers and take care of your mental health first🫶🏻

Thank you so much to Amelia for giving me the opportunity to read this before release!

All I Want is a refreshing grumpy–sunshine office romance brimming with tension, witty banter, and heartfelt hope. Marley shines with warmth and resilience as she faces hardship and childhood scars with grace. Theo’s broody exterior hides a tender heart, and watching his walls slowly crumble was deeply satisfying. If you’re craving a story full of swoon, swagger, and a beautifully earned happily-ever-after, All I Want deserves a spot on your TBR. 💕

Thank you to Amelia for the ARC!

Marley is a dancer who is looking for a job to help make ends meet. Theo is the CEO of Prescott Investment Corporation, and Marley's new boss.

Theo is grumpy and doesn’t let anyone in, but Marley sees what's underneath his facade. They both deal with grief and trauma in this book, and I loved watching them start to heal together.

The banter in this was so good! I love dual pov and seeing how they both secretly felt about each other too.

Grumpy CEO 🤝 Perky assistant aka Theo and Marley

I just love Amelia Chasen’s writing. It’s fast paced but not insta love. It really gets you invested in the story. Marley gets an assistant job where her cousin works only she doesn’t realize it’s an assistant job and she doesn’t realize it’s for Theo (the grumpiest man alive who she met at her cousin’s wedding and embarrassed herself in front of). She may not be the most qualified person for the job but she’s definitely going to try her hardest and Theo takes notice 😌 Also Marley is a ballerina and I think it’s the cutest thing ever. There’s a specific scene where she thinks she sees Theo in the audience when they’re not together yet and it’s so cute. 4/5⭐️

“ When love is real, you don’t have to chase it. It stays”

I absolutely loved this book omg it gave me everything. This is a short book but the slow burn and the yearning omg 😩😩 I love Theo and Marley and how both of them is exactly what each other needed. Disclaimer I did receive a copy as an arc and this is 100% my complete honest opinion. Honestly this might be my favorite Amelia Chasen book out of all of them I’ve read and I can’t wait to get a physical copy of this one.

Y’all. The tension in this. WOOO. It was on fire. Like most office romances we see an MMC who just can’t get the FMC out of his mind. Which definitely happens with Theo and Marley. However I haven’t seen this much push back from an MMC before. Theo really tried his hardest NOT to allow his feelings to take over. But I loved how much Theo and Marley could not truly stay away from each other. Not matter how hard they tried to keep things professional they just kept drifting back. While Theo was very caring about things going on in Marley’s life there was still a bit of grit to how he interacted directly with her. Marley was a fun character. I really thought she was relatable and realistic. While she loved to tease Theo about things she really knew when not to push things too hard and I really loved her ability to read the room in situations.

This is book one in the Brighton Bay Series. Marley is a young woman that is use to being on her own while supporting herself and her mother. Theo is a 4o year old CEO of a company. They met once before at a wedding where they each caught the flowers and the garter. After that their paths cross again when she interviews to be an assistant at the company her cousin works for. What she didn’t know at first as it was for Theo. While she and him don’t get along, they end up being what the other person needs. He’s a jerk that can’t keep an assistant and she is the one that keeps him inline and calls him out when he is in one of his mood. As the longer that she works for him the more and more that he is able to open up for her. He is also starting to get feelings for her and she is slowly starting to for him as well. He is falling hard for her, and it starts to show when he starts taking care of her and doing things for her. Which is a different thing for him. As that happens, he starts to also take care of her, and as she isn’t sure about that she takes it in stride and learns what it means to be taken care of by someone. Their time together gets better and better where he starts to smile again and even his family is starting to notice the change in him.
They almost get caught one night at the office and it leads to them really starting to question what they want. The boss and the assistant or be the couple. They start doing both. As time goes on, she is there when he really needs someone the most, and that’s when he realizes shes really the perfect person for himself. The one things that she doesn’t get at first is when he buys the building that she does her ballet at, what he does surprises her the most once he sees how upset she is that she is going to lose something that she really loves. He ends up giving it to her after her redoes the whole thing.
I really enjoyed this book. I could tell from the start that it was going to enjoy this couple. She has the sass that will keep him inline, and you can tell this the first time that we meet them they give it to each other. Watching them grow is great, and you get to see that bond that they have and watch them each turn into different people once they are able to open up. I do recommend this book, and I cannot wait to read whatever comes next.

All I Want by Amelia Chasen is the first book in the Brighton Bay series and is the story of Marley and Theo. Marley comes from a neglectful home, scrapes by to pay the bills, and finds unbridled joy in ballet dancing. She gets a huge break when she is hired to be an executive assistant in a large investment firm, but her boss is not going to make it easy for her. Theo is moody, arrogant, and absolutely does not want her as his assistant - possibly due to a previous encounter involving a bouquet and a garter. Marley and Theo discover things about each other that make it possible to work together, and may make it impossible to work apart.

I have read every book by Amelia Chasen and I can honestly say I absolutely loved this book. Everything about it. The characters, interactions, back stories, setting.. all of it. There is so much to this story, so many layers and nuances that allow the characters to be who they are without feeling forced into a trope. Above all else, this story made me feel. Happy, sad, hopeful, tragic, longing, excitement, passion.. its all in there and is orchestrated beautifully. I recommend this book to anyone who likes not only the romantic happily ever after, but wants to experience the raw and emotional vulnerability of characters who are flawed but perfect for each other with their broken pieces that fit together like the most beautiful puzzle. Absolutely a five star read!

All I Want ARC Review

i was very fortunate to receive an ARC of All I Want by Amelia Chasen. All opinions are my own and given freely. 🩷

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5
🌶️.5/5

content warning: traumatic death of a sibling (referenced, off page), mentions of alcohol and drug abuse (not MC), mentions of childhood neglect, hunger (on-page), detailed sex scenes (on-page, open door), alcohol use, and profanity.

“when someone truly cares, they show up. love isn’t a puzzle to solve or a prize to earn. it’s steady. certain. a truth that exists without conditions or second-guessing. it doesn’t make you question your worth or wonder if you’re enough. when love is real, you don’t have to chase it. it stays.”

i have read every book that amelia has put out and she has yet to disappoint me!! i have waited for what has felt like an eternity, to finally learn more about marley and theo after they were mentioned in one of amelia’s previous books and i could honestly read about them forever! amelia does such an amazing job of writing characters that are easy to relate and she does it with so much love and care. this book made me feel so many feelings but i loved every moment of it.

marley and theo are complete opposites yet they complement each other so well. i loved the way they were able to lean on each other and brought out the best in each other. marley brought so much joy and happiness into theo’s life and i loved that he just let her be herself. also, the tension and chemistry between these two was so deliciously perfect, i just couldn’t get enough!

i really loved getting to know and fall in love with these characters!! i cannot wait to read the next book in this series and once again thank you so much for giving me the chance to read all i want early! 🩷

𝗠𝗬 𝗧𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦: I. AM. OBSESSED. This book was perfection. This is a book where I have no notes. None at all. I love Theo and Marley so much. Is Theo a grumpy CEO who can’t keep an assistant? Yes. But you figure out why he is so grumpy & closed off & you just want to wrap him in a huge hug. Marley is pure sunshine who is not afraid to be herself. Both Marley & Theo are dealing with grief & their healing looks very different from one another. The way they comfort & support each other through it though had my heart in a puddle on the floor. There were so many emotional aspects of this one that had me so completely hooked & captivated throughout. The slow burn was chef’s kiss! I loved all of the angst & tension between them. The “almost” moments had me white knuckling my blanket. The little amount of spice was the perfect amount to the story. If this one is not on your TBR, here is my PLEA to add this one to your TBR! I need someone to gush about it with!!!

Let’s get to the important part—without a doubt, this book gets 5 stars from me! Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin. This story is about two people who are complete opposites, yet they complement each other perfectly.
Marley grew up with a single mother who battled addiction and couldn’t hold down a job, so Marley had to raise herself and work extra hard to support them both. Now in her late 20s, her cousin Noah encourages her to apply for a job at Prescott Investment Corporation, where he works, knowing she’ll earn good money. Throughout the book, you’ll see that Marley has a heart of gold. She works hard, sacrifices for others, and always maintains a positive attitude. She’s got spunk and is always up for anything—it’s hard for anything to bring her down.
Theo, the CEO of Prescott Investment Corporation, is a billionaire who comes from a close-knit family. However, a tragic loss during his teenage years changed his outlook on life. He prefers solitude and hasn’t been in a relationship for five years. When he first meets Marley, he wants nothing to do with her. He even tries to avoid her and doesn’t want her working for him. But little by little, she gets through to him. Through kindness, patience, and hard work, the two become inseparable.
Like I said—I love this book! Fair warning: it’s a slow-burn romance, and you won’t get any intimate scenes until almost the end. But that didn’t matter to me. The writing was so good, I couldn’t put it down. Watching these two characters grow together, need each other, and give each other a new perspective on life was absolutely beautiful.
I can’t wait to see who stars in the second installment—I have my guess, and I’m so excited!

I could not put this book down! Nor did I ever want it to end! Obsessed! 😍 Amelia Chasen, yet again, writes another masterpiece that I completely fell in love with! She is one of my favorite authors! 💖 Her books always make me feel real-life emotions when reading. I laugh, I cry, I swoon, and All I Want was no different!

I was literally captivated from the very beginning and fell in love with Marley and Theo. I loved how Theo's grumpiness disappeared with Marley's sunshine-y personality! They both have gone through so much grief and pain in their life but we're able to bring out the best in each other! They were perfect for each other, even with a 12 year age gap! The slow burn was everything! ❤️‍🔥 The tension between them was perfection! I couldn't get enough!

Don't miss out on this one! 💯 recommend!

Dual POV, Light Spice, Boss x Assistant, Grumpy x Sunshine, Age Gap, Rich MMC x Poor FMC, Slow Burn, Care Taking, Jealous MMC

Okay, if you were one of the readers who loved The Hating Game you will devour this novel, not only does it deliver the same he falls on first sight but acts cold to her vibes it also delivers aching yearning paired with care taking. When Theo spots Marley at a coworkers wedding his tightly held routine and control begins to slip and when she shows up to work as his new assistant his world is turned upside down. Marley is struggling to meet ends meet, take care of her mother, balance her dance career, and her new grumpy boss. The more Theo learns about her and her struggles the more he yearns to make everything better for her including finding a way to save the run down theater she dances in. Expect delicious will they won't they forbidden workplace vibes, jealousy moments, tender care taking, and family dynamics.

ALL I WANT 💕 (ARC review) |

Marley is the FMC who works as an assistant for Theo, the MMC — and let me tell you, this book has everything: tension, endearing moments, humor, and even some heavy topics like grief and alcoholism...
One of my favorite things was how Marley always teased Theo — she’s hilarious and their banter was perfection. This story was such a tender read! I loved watching Theo and Marley’s relationship unfold — all their cute moments, how they slowly grew on each other, and that first kiss when they were already, I think I can say, friends. The tension of them trying (and failing) to stay away from each other? I love it 🤭
I also love Amelia’s writing. She portrayed every character beautifully and handled the heavier themes, like grief, with so much depth and emotion — it honestly brought tears to my eyes.

Another phenomenal book!!

Amelia Chasen has become my go-to for happy reads. I absolutely love the way she writes!! This is my third book by her, and it's my favorite (so far)!

Marley is such a sweet person who wants to pay her bills and dance while dealing with the life she was dealt. She is so strong. I admire her ability to face any situation head-on. Marley is also not afraid to initiate a situation (you will have to read the book).

Theo is the grumpy, older boss who has a history of being difficult to work for. He is determined to keep his heart out of everything until Marley slowly starts softening his outer shell.

Amelia Chasen has an amazing ability to write heavy topics with such tender and positive spins. I am always so excited to read her books.

I really enjoyed this book!

Grumpy boss x sunshine assistant, but the true strength of this book was how complex the characters and their stories were. Marley's childhood trauma, her current living situation with her mother, and literally living with $4 in her bank account. And Theo's own childhood trauma, and how it affected him in the present day. This story was truly unique, in a great way, and I loved watching it unfold.

This was book one in the series, and I would definitely like to read the next one! This was my second book by this author, and she's definitely become an auto read author for me - I really love her writing.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Another binge-worthy read by Amelia Chasen! I devoured this book so quickly; I couldn't put it down!

If you love grumpy x sunshine, age gap, slow burn and workplace romance--this is definitely for you! Theo and Marley are so cute together and you want to root for them straight from the beginning. You know she can win his grumpy-self over when she becomes his assistant. A workplace romance with your boss?! So risky! There is depth to both of Theo and Marley's characters which makes this story so engaging. Content warnings include: traumatic loss of a sibling, mentions of alcohol and drug abuse and childhood neglect, hunger, detailed sex scenes, alcohol use, and profanity.

I can't wait for more in the Brighton Bay series. Thank you to Amelia Chasen for having me on your ARC team!

This is my 4th book by this author and Amelia never disappoints. I was so looking forward to Marley & Theo’s story … and I loved it! It’s got all the makings of a Hallmark movie, with some “after dark” but not too dark content!
He’s rich. She’s not. He’s grumpy. She’s sunshine. There’s tension. There’s banter. There’s some spice. And there’s a whole lot of pure, unconditional love that blossoms between them. I like to read shorter books and this one was only 270 ish pages but was perfect in terms of balance of content, character development, and keeping me interested.
I love walking away from a book feeling content and just happy about an HEA and this book did just that! Thank you for the ARC opportunity! 🖤

All I Want by Amelia Chasen was one of my favorite reads this year! I have read every book by this author, and each book is a treasure. I could not put this book down and now I have to buy the audio too so I can savor it! Marley and Theo are such a great couple – both incredibly flawed and human and REAL. There love is such a sweet slow burn – in Amelia Chasen’s words, “Whatever is between us is already burning. A slow fuse crawling toward the moment everything explodes.” I felt this in my bones! This is Book One in the Brighton Bay Series and let me tell you, I will be the first person to pre-order the next book in the series.

📚🌶🌶

All I Want is the newest book from Amelia Chasen and the first in the Brighton Bay series!! This was an office romance between the boss and his new assistant. Amelia absolutely did not disappoint with this book!

Marley dream was to always be dancing and unfortunately, working for a small ballet company is not paying the bills. She is out of options and needs a job fast. She ends up landing a job at Prescott Investment Corp. Everyone has been super nice and inviting except for her very grumpy boss, Theo. Theo is built on routine and definitely doesn't contribute to office small talk. Unfortunately, Marley loves to do just that. Marley is a ball of sunshine and Theo is the exact opposite, but the more time they spend together the harder the chemistry is to ignore.

ARC Review: All I Want by Amelia Chasen

5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If Amelia writes it, then I’m immediately reading it! She writes the best emotionally heartwarming stories and I always finish her books with the biggest smile and my heart overflowing with love. She has a way of discussing difficult topics with heartbreaking accuracy and effortlessly depicting their healing/recovery. Her quotes catch you off guard, gut punch you and will forever stick with you.

I ate this book up and am such a sucker for an age gap, grumpy/sunshine, and soft only for her book. Theo and Marley’s love story was real, steady and heartwarmingly wonderful. Their banter and tension was electric. The perfect couple where opposites attract. They both healed each other by just being themselves and constantly showing up/supporting each other. I love them so much and really hope to see some cameos in the next books in the series! I think I have an inkling of who the next book might be about! Thank you so much Amelia for this beautiful story and this ARC! Buy your copy now!

🔥Spice Ahead (varying degrees)🔥
Chapters: 17, 18, 23

All I Want is a short read with some heavy topics. Marley is a bright witty girl who comes from a tragic background but plans on making something of herself, even if she has to fib to do it. Theo is the brooding boss who swore off relationships. When Marley's new job forces them to work together, things get.. interesting..

This book was wonderful. I loved everything about Marley and Theo. There were aspects of both of their lives that I could relate to so it was very easy to cheer for them both. The love that they develop and have for each other is so sweet.

I loved how author Amelia Chasen made her main character feel real by being flawed and not perfect! I ate this book up in a day.
