About the author

I am a history buff and have always been fascinated by the American Revolution, especially the events that took place on the land where I tread every day.

I majored in Journalism while attending the University of Massachusetts/Amherst. "The Far Corner of the Field" is my debut novel. I split my time between Boston and Vermont with my wife and dog.

The author takes an approach to the experience of the American Revolution rather akin to George RR Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire." We are introduced to a diverse array of characters, spanning the end of the French & Indian War to the Saratoga Campaign. Perspectives shift aplenty, as do allegiances, and no one is safe. We are taken on long treks across sparsely populated terrain, and the author does a good sense creating an exhausting atmosphere of yawning gaps between locations and actions beats, where the characters must rely on their own sweat and determination to pull themselves through. I look forward to seeing where the author takes things in his sequel, when the Saratoga Campaign will come to its grand finale.
