Josie, nicknamed the Maneater, is part of an elite group of private investigators who use their beauty, brains, and society's habit of underestimating women to get the intel they need to solve crime and investigate for clients. Her particular strength is in her ability to seduce men and convince them to tell her whatever she wants to hear. She often goes on dates with high-profile men to find out what she needs to know, be it cheating, embezzlement, or the sharing of trade secrets.

Now she's assigned to go undercover as a vacationer at the Daydream Resort, a luxury all-inclusive vacation spot for the rich and famous, and find out who is sabotaging it.

While there, Rowan, a nuisance from her past and the VP of Operations for the resort, keeps getting in her way, but she's not backing down. He continues to find her at the source of the sabotages he's also looking into, and knows that somehow, she's not just a vacationer.

As the sabotages continue, the tension between Rowan and Josie gets more and more palpable, but both are there on a mission and can't afford the distraction.

But be it love or disaster, neither of them is ready for what’s coming next.

Morgan is a born and raised Jersey girl, living there with her two boys, toddler daughter, and mechanic husband. She’s addicted to iced espresso, barbecue chips, and Starburst jellybeans. She usually has headphones on, listening to some spicy audiobook or Taylor Swift. There is rarely an in between.

Writing has been her calling for as long as she can remember. There’s a framed ‘page one’ of a book she wrote at seven hanging in her childhood home to prove the point. Her entire life she’s crafted stories in her mind, begging to be released but it wasn’t until recently she finally gave them the reigns.

I’m so grateful you’ve agreed to take this journey with me.

I LOVED this so much!! I swear, Morgan Elizabeth just never lets me down! (Also, a moment for the cover!! So stunning!)

This was such a fun time! The story follows Josie, who is part of an uncover group of girls (called The Mavens) who are basically private investigators. Each girl has a special skill that they use to discover secrets and solve cases. The romance was so so good (and I loved the MMC) but the mystery and reading about all the little clues and theories as the case developed was just so fun to read about!! I honestly kinda want to be a private investigator spy now 🙂‍↕️

I can’t wait for the next book/books in this series!! I know I will love them!

Man Eater is... interesting.... and NOT exactly what I was expecting for a "Totally Spies, Charlies Angels" vibe...
“That’s because I’m completely obsessed with you, and even though I couldn’t admit it to even myself until recently, I’ve been obsessed with you for some time. If I had paid attention for just a single moment, I would have realised the world was throwing me a million chances to find my person finally.”
𝙎𝙮𝙣𝙤𝙥𝙨𝙞𝙨:
Josephine "Josie" Montgomery is a man-eater. Her job? To woo and lure men into revealing secrets they normally wouldn’t, and mostly when they have been cheating on their wives or insurance.. You see, she’s a Maven... a member of a private investigation team run by the elusive Gabriel. The problem is every time Josie is on a case in Hudsen city she is interrupted by Rowan Fisher... who doesn’t know she’s a spy. All he sees is the girl of his dreams showing up on yet another date... with another guy... and never with him. Rowan also happens to be the VP of Operations for Daydream Resorts. So when a string of suspicious sabotage incidents occur, he heads to the resort to get to the bottom of it, unaware that his boss has also hired the Mavens to investigate. Now Josie and Rowan are stuck in paradise together, trying to resist their off-the-charts sexual tension…

𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨:
So I have a few issues with this book. Don’t get me wrong, I did have a good time reading it and it gave me the entertainment I needed. The biggest problem was basically Rowan.

FIRSTLY, Rowan is an absolute simp. There’s no other way to describe him. He has been in love with Josie for six years, since their university days, without really knowing anything about her. She’s secretive about who she is and what she does, and the only parts of her life he’s seen are the carefully chosen snippets she lets people know. Obviously, she can’t exactly tell anyone she’s a spy. And still, he’s completely and utterly besotted.

This is where it gets weird for me. I really battled to see where the emotional connection was supposed to come from between him and Josie, because what initially attracted him to her was the fact that she’s absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. Think 60s pin-up model — curves, long dark hair, and able to seduce with a single look. The whole thing is built on physical attraction because she doesn’t allow emotional intimacy. She can’t, not with her job.

Now, I know that connection develops over time, and I love that Morgan Elizabeth makes it clear up front that this is one of her longest books (maybe even the longest) because she had so much to pack into the story. But the issue is these two don’t really change much over the course of the book in terms of evolution. They are very surface-level characters, and the people we meet at the beginning are the same at the end... except now they’ve admitted their feelings. These two start by connecting physically very quickly, and then have to work through whether that attraction is compatible with their jobs.

The main reason Rowan is attracted to her is because of that instant allure. Josie doesn’t back down from a challenge. Their banter is sharp, and she’s never afraid to volley right back. And because Rowan is basically the definition of a suit-daddy soft dom, always in control whether in the boardroom or the bedroom, their dynamic works. He calls the shots, she pushes back, and he finds that refreshing. He’s used to everyone around him just giving in, so having someone meet him head-on is new for him.

Honestly, he’s perfect. At times, almost too perfect... like he always had the exact right response, the exact right behaviour, and the exact right look to make him universally appealing. He comes across as very fictional. Every time Josie sets a boundary, he’s like, “Oh, of course, I’d never cross that.” But he doesn’t seem to have any boundaries of his own... except the BIG RED FLAG of being married to his job. That is his only flaw. There is nothing Josie can do that makes this man mad, upset, or disagree with her... no matter that she is a high-maintenance princess whose job it is to flirt with men...

I also felt the pacing was a bit of a problem. It moves slower, and I found myself wishing for more action on the investigation side. Most of the heavy lifting is done by Rory, Josie’s partner on the case and the team’s tech genius. Rory is the one combing through footage, hacking systems, and planting bugs. Our so-called man-eater is mainly a distraction, the flirt keeping people busy. As a result, we don’t see much of the investigative work, only hear that it’s being done, which left the whole mystery plot feeling lacklustre and weak since there weren’t many stakes Josie herself had to work through.

𝙏𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙨:
▶ Workplace Romance
▶ Enemies to Lovers
▶ Hidden Identity
▶ Forced Proximity

𝙎𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙆𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙨:

▷ Nicknames
▷ Dirty Talk
▷ Stalking
▷ "Fuck it"
▷ Cages her with his arms (A LOT)
▷ Always Been You
▷ "Mine"

Overall, as I said... while I had a few issues, I still enjoyed it for what it was... so if you are looking for a generally low-stakes romcom with ample spice and a beautiful location... this is for you! I know I cannot wait for Rory's book!

I loved this book from page one! It’s a Charlie’s Angels vibe with the Josie and the Mavens using their brains and beauty to take down icky men and corruption of all kinds. There’s some mystery, suspense, and tons of tension. Josie is a bad ass bombshell and I loved everything about her. Rowan is the VP of an exclusive resort company that’s been having trouble at their newest resort. Of course Josie and Rowan also have some long standing history. These two are sorta enemies or loathe to lovers. Their banter is top tier and don’t even get me started on the spicy interrogation scene. It’s *chefs kiss* so good. It’s the perfect summer read! I’m definitely excited to see where the Mavens go next!

Thank you to Morgan and her team for sending me an e-arc! I'm so lucky to be part of her content team 🩷

This is the perfect summer vacay read!

Josie is part of a private investigative team that dedicates themselves to solving crimes and cases. In other words, lightly inspired by the iconic Charlies Angels. What is more iconic than solving a mystery in a resort and falling for the VP of Operations?

Might I add that the VP of Operations is very fineeeee, and has a thing for watching ;)

I'll always be rooting for a FMC who dedicates herself to taking down terrible men and making money off it!

One of my favorite things about this romance is that Rowan, the MMC doesn't try to tame or control Josie. He sees her for who she is and doesn't try to diminish her light or her dedication to her job. He's quite literally a supportive boyfriend who stands by the sidelines watching his gf save the day.

Maneater is just the beginning to The Maven's and I cannot wait to see what's in store for this series!

Maneater
By: Morgan Elizabeth

“I haven’t ever felt such a pull to a woman like this, this undeniable need to touch her, to taste her. Considering that no woman has interested me enough to make me put my work aside for even a moment, this feels monumental.”

“It’s a point of pride, being able to have a man falling at my feet. And I won’t let Rowan Fisher ruin my perfect score.”

“So f***ing pretty, so f***ing perfect. So f***ing mine.”

Sexy Charlie’s Angels?! Yes Please! God this book is so good and full of bad*ss women empowerment! I am absolutely obsessed with Rowan and Josie! This book is different from
anything I have ever read. It is a hot spy girl, kick*ss, use what you have to your advantage and embrace your sexy self read. This is hands down Morgan Elizabeth’s spiciest read to date. The tension between these two, the teasing and games they play. Rowan holds his own with Josie and isn’t intimidated by her, and I love that! A man who worships his women. I just can’t praise this read enough, it’s that good!

She’s the team Maneater - gets men to admit all their secrets
She’s undercover & sent to uncover who is sabotaging his hotel
He wants her BAD but refuses to admit it to himself

A moment for the spice in the book - DEAR GOD. Morgan really outdid herself with this one.

Enjoyment:⭐⭐⭐⭐.5
Writing:⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Characters: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Plot: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Romance: ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5

This was my first romantic suspense, and also my first Morgan Elizabeth book, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As every average little girl, I was obsessed with "Charlie's Angels" and "Totally Spies," and this gave me all the nostalgic vibes.

The case was very enthralling, and the mystery was a mystery until the end, which usually doesn't happen for me.

The romance part was amazing, we have a mature relationship with witty banter and piping hot spice. I would have loved for Rowan to be more clever regarding Josie's profession, but I get that for the plot, it was useful that he was kind of clueless.

I'm really excited for the next books in the series, to see what other mysteries we are solving. It was hinted in the dedication that we are going to have "Charlie" as an MMC in one of the books, I can't wait to see which of the Mavens is the FMC.

Josie is a Maven, an expert hired to extract secrets from suspects, most of whom are men. Over the years, she’s frequently crossed paths with Rowan, who’s noticed her string of dates but never quite figured her out. When Josie is assigned to uncover who’s sabotaging a luxury hotel, she’s surprised to find Rowan there too, as the hotel's VP of Operations. Neither fully trusts the other, but that doesn’t stop the sparks from flying. Their witty banter is top notch and adds so much charm to the story. If you're craving a romcom with major Charlie’s Angels energy, this book is a must read!

“I don’t know if you know this, Rowan, but I’m kind of high maintenance. A man-eater, some would say. If you don’t give me what I need, I’ll just chew you up and spit you out.”

This was such a great, easy read! I absolutely adore anything by Morgan Elizabeth — she’s the queen of fun, girlie-pop books, and that’s completely okay with me!

I loved the FMC, Josie. She was such a fun, lovable character with a personality that was impossible not to enjoy. What I appreciate most about books like this is that sometimes you just want something light and enjoyable — a story to simply have fun with rather than search for deeper meaning.

The plot was engaging, the mystery kept me intrigued, and the romance pulled me right in. It’s the perfect pick if you’re in a reading slump and need something quick, charming, and full of feel-good vibes.

DNF 30%. Ugh. I feel like this is totally a me problem, but this book just bugs me. I usually love this author, but the writing on this one is falling flat.

The hook up at 7% was dumb and purposeless. It felt like it was just a device to get the reader ‘hooked’ and it irked me. And then all the talk about her boobs, the pretending to be brainless….

It’s a decent enough premise, but I am already cringing at the dialogue and skimming.

4.5/5✨
3/5🌶️

I was super curious about this book because of the title and, later on, it's blurb. Super interesting and new to me. So grateful for being accepted for this early copy and I need to thank the author and Valentine Pr for that!

Josie has a different kind of job, one designed to make men fall for her charms. Because of that she got the 'Maneater' nickname. That meant that she was always seen with other influencing man, fact which raised a question mark to Rowan, someone who knew Josie for a long time and had a crush on her. This secret group of investigators will be assigned to find out the truth about the sabotages that have been happening at the luxury Daydream Resort.

Rowan was a billionaire who worked hard for what he had and when he was informed that someone was sabotaging the resort where he was the VP of Operations, he instantly was in the middle of things, to save that beautiful place. But he never thought that there he will bump into the girl who messed up with his mind. And things were about to get even more tensioned on both sides: with the investigation and with the constant pull they felt for one another.

I really liked how Josie's personality was built. She was super confident on herself and knew how her beauty affected the men around her. So, she used her power to the fullest and made it her job. She never thought that one man will steal her heart, but Rowan would constantly be pinning for her, even when it was only a simple tease. But that won't stop there and when they were in close proximity at the resort, things shifted even more, leaving them with a strong feeling of want and maybe more. But is it possible to have a relationship? Are they capable of something like that when they are always working and always being away?

If you wanna read something which also has romance and losts of mystery, this is the perfect choice! It was super fun to follow the leads of this investigation and how things were solved in the end. Also, I adored the constant banter between the main characters and how everything evolved between them. Super read!

I thoroughly enjoyed "Maneater" by Morgan Elizabeth. This is a mysterious, swoony, sexy new series about a team of "Mavens," investigators who look into cheating husbands, thieving spouses, and potential criminal situations using their skills to flirt with men and get information from their marks. I loved entering this world of espionage, deep-diving, and undercover work! Josie (the FMC) and her hacker-partner-extraordinaire, Rory, are currently investigating a series of increasingly more serious crimes/sabotage happening at a luxury resort that just so happens to be where Rowan (the MMC) works. The Rowan who knew Josie from college and has been pining for her secretly for years. The Rowan who has been obsessively watching Josie entertain rich guy after rich guy for months with no idea why she's dating them. The Rowan who recently had a one-night tryst with Josie and has been on her mind ever since. The Rowan who could be the one if Josie's job didn't get in the way. I fell HARD for Rowan and Josie. Author Morgan Elizabeth brilliantly executes the push and pull of their relationship in a slightly scandalous, intriguing way! The interrogation scene! The forced proximity! The years worth of tension! The whiskey scene! Rent free for months!! The balance between romance/spice and secrets/mystery/crime-solving felt perfect for me. I cannot wait to read the second installment in this series. Loved this so much!

Thank you to Morgan Elizabeth and Valentine PR for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

When I heard Morgan describe this book as Charlie’s Angels meets The White Lotus I was HOOKED. 👏🏼

Right off the bat, we got the most delicious banter between Rowan and Josie. Josie is such a great independent, strong female lead. She’s The Maneater and has perfected her skills in capturing the male gaze and fishing out their secrets.

Rowan was obsessed with Josie, even when he didn’t want to be. I loved how they already had an established dynamic before the book started. The pacing and story development were so well done. This is the longest story Morgan has ever written and I STILL wasn’t ready for the book to be over when it ended.

“𝘐’𝘮 𝘢𝘣𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘑𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘨𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘺,”

The spice in this book was so freaking hot. Morgan is a true GEM in the open door romance genre. She manages to keep the spice fun and refreshing without it overpowering the plot. Rowan and Josie wrestled for control in the spicy scenes and it really was so fitting for their characters!

“𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦𝘨, 𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘺, 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦, 𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘵.”

This book set up who The Mavens are and left me wanting more and more stories about them!

3.5/5⭐️

I’m really starting to believe that my brain is just not in the right headspace for reading at the moment because if I had read this 6 months ago, I think I’d be giving it a very different rating.

First off - I love everything that Morgan writes. This in particular was so unique and different with its romance x Charlie’s Angels vibe.

Some things I absolutely loved:
- Our FMC - she’s a effing badass and is funny as hell - LOVE HER
- The setting - get me sand, a pool, and a frozen drink, and I will enjoy a book no matter what 🌊☀️👙
- The BANTER AND TEASING OMG!! they teased each other like it was an Olympic sport and they both took gold
- Our MMC - when he pulls out his little tricks as a spy?? my god this suit daddy is hot >>>

Things I struggled with:
- It was slow to start. The first 75 pages took me well over a week to read. Not any reason in particular - I just didn’t get hooked the way I had hoped
- The “mystery” plot - while a big focus of this story is the romance, another big focus is the mystery our heroine and her friend are trying to solve. It was a little messy & a lot low stakes. While I did feel for our MMC who was dealing with some serious issues at his resort, it wasn’t high stakes enough for me as a reader to truly care. I didn’t know the characters involved in the mystery enough to even be super surprised when we did figure it all out.

Overall, I think this series is going to be a huge win for Morgan. This concept of hot female spies is a winner for sure and I can’t wait for these other ladies to get their own books. This wasn’t my favorite from Morgan, but I could see future books in this series stealing that #1 spot 💓 thanks Morgan for the ARC!

What a fun premise. An all female PI group (think along the lines of Charlie's Angels). While undercover, one of the PI's finds someone she's very attracted to. And they start something. But there's a problem. She's undercover!

That's where this fun romcom (and a little bit mystery) starts. Josie knows a guy. He's popped up in her orbit since college. And he's usually not impressed with. Josie and the many dates he runs into. But this time, she's not on the fake date for work and on the clock, and things get... well, they get close. Closer as in hook up close.

Next time, Josie meets Rowan? When she's at his resort trying to find the person responsible for sabotaging the place. And he's, well, he's a suspect.

I love the idea of a group of women being totally underestimated by all the people they meet. Everyone thinks they have them figured out, and of course, they kick butt.

Whenever Josie is playing someone like a fiddle, it is fun to see. Rowan was totally smitten from the get-go, but of course, he didn't know the REAL Josie. I wanted to yell at him and tell him how wrong he was, lol.

Totally didn't get the bad guy (I mean I didn't figure it out, lol!). It reminded me a little of Veronica Mars, how snarky and how they underestimated Josie.

Can't wait for my next Maven!

I’m so grateful to have gotten to read the ARC of Maneater!! 💖

This book was everything I was hoping for and more. A super hot, Maneater, BADASS FMC. A super broody, sexy and bossy MMC. A giant mystery in a dream location with a super cool tech savvy BFF and cool spy gear? CHECK CHECK CHECK ✔️

This is my second Morgan Elizabeth book (Tourist Trap being my first) and I absolutely adore her writing style. The way she writes her FMC’s to be confident, funny and witty makes you relate to them on such a deep level as a reader. The men she writes?! *SWOONS* 🥵 When I tell you the spicy scenes Morgan writes are H.O.T. HOT 🔥🔥🔥 but also- IM HERE FOR THE PLOT. And the plot is amazing.

I genuinely could not figure out who the mystery culprit was at any point in the book. I had several suspicions but you really feel like you can’t trust anyone (except Rowan of course). You’d think Josie being the “Maneater” would be like an eye rolling worthy, “pick me girl” situation but she is such a badass and so hyper aware of herself and her surroundings I absolutely loved it. THIS BOOK WILL BE WORTH THE HYPE!! ✨✨✨

Im already so excited to get more to know more of The Mavens!! ♥️🌙

this was such a fun book. Ever since seeing all the teasers on Morgan's IG I have been wanting to read this book. I loved!

This Charlie Angels meets Threat Level Midnight (IYKYK) rom com. Josie and Rowan randomly meet at a bar after Josie finishes a job. They end up in spicy moment when Rowan gets called away. Fast forward Josie gets called to job on a island resort...and who is there but Rowan, bc he is VP of operations for the resort chain. Let the games and hilarity ensue.
Josie is literally a man-eater and a badass. Loved her spunk, loved her drive, her humor. She is definitely my favorite FMC Morgan has wrote.
Rowan...where do I start. He is the definition of man obsessed. The little details he knew about Josie...SWOOOOON!
These two were so hot together. From their banter to the spicy things the chemistry between these two was off the charts!

This was such a fun spicy read and definitely one of the better ones I have read from Morgan.

Overall: 4.5
Spice: 3

Tropes:
Grumpy x Sunshine
Hate to Love
Boy Obsessed
Forced Proximity
Charlie Angel's Inspired
Mystery
no 3rd act breakup

ATE, no notes, 10/10 would recommend.

ohmygod this book was so fun and so refreshing. i literally DEVOURED it in a few hours. this was my first morgan elizabeth book and definitely not my last.

i loved our super hot and sexy spy girl — josie so much, she's honestly such a badass. i loved how confident, funny and witty she was. 100% mommy material!!

our hot, broody VP of daydream resort — rowan was SO DOWN BAD for josie!! i loved how he was so obsessed with her even when he didn't want to be. also can we just talk about that interrogation scene (iykyk) *phew*

and josie's best friend, rory!? i would trade my first born for her book. i loved their friendship and i cant wait to read more about her. also gabriel is soo mysterious i lowkey think he's a hot single daddy... but we'll see.

i also loved the mystery side of the plot. it had me flipping through the pages trying to solve the mystery myself (i was way off so we're just gonna pretend it never happened)

overall, this is a MUST READ.

tropes:
🥃 grumpy x sunshine
🔍 man obsessed
🥃 charlie's angels inspired
🔍 forced proximity
🥃 loathe to love
🔍 workplace romance

⤷ thank you to the author and valentine pr for providing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you so much to Valentine PR for sending me an eARC of Maneater in exchange for an honest review!

When I'm looking for something fun & spicy, Morgan Elizabeth definitely comes to mind. Her stories are entertaining and have the wildest premise. Maneater is no different.

I love the idea of taking Totally Spies/Charlie's Angels and turning it into an exciting, spicy spy romance romp. The plot was fairly engaging and the characters were at times compelling. Morgan Elizabeth is so great at coming up with unique settings and plot points for her books.

I did find that the book needs a good edit and read through. There was a lot of repetition of information which I found really frustrating at times since it felt like I was being spoon-fed the clues of the mystery instead of giving me the space to figure it out myself. There were also a few errors in the book (which I was informed of beforehand) and I'm hoping they were fixed up before release.

Both Rowan & Josie were very clear cut in their characterization but I felt like neither of them had the depth & complexity I look for in main characters. I think the book would have benefitted if we knew them better, knew their pasts better (and I'm not talking about their shared past). Since I found the characters quite shallow, there was very little room for them to grow and I think that's where my emotional connection to them got a bit lost. I also felt like their dialogue was very repetitive and I felt myself disengage as soon as their conversations hit the same beats again.

Overall, I was a little entertained and I think this book was a relatively okay spicy time. I just felt like I struggled to really feel something while reading and I did find myself a bit bored, especially since there were so many repetitions of the same conversations.

If you like the idea of a badass group of women, using their female wiles to trick unsuspecting men into divulging their deepest secrets whilst solving mysteries and falling in love, The Mavens series is for you!

Tropes: grumpy/sunshine, workplace romance, he falls first and falls harder, spy x hotelier, dislike to love

She’s a maneater 🎶

I received an advance copy of this book from both Morgan Elizabeth and ValentinePR in exchange for an honest review.

Josie Montgomery has one mission, get information from shady men in any way possible. Nicknamed the “Maneater,” Josie uses her flirting skills to crack even the toughest man. But Rowan, the bane of her existence, keeps crashing all her “dates” and getting in the way of her investigations. When Josie gets hired on a project at a luxurious resort to investigate a string of sabotages, she runs into the last person she ever thought she’d see: Rowan. Turns out, Rowan is the VP of Operations and he’s determined to figure out what secrets Josie is hiding.

Morgan Elizabeth writes the most addicting books! This one was top tier and an instant 5 star read for me! I absolutely loved the plot of Josie working as an investigator and flirting her way to unlocking tons of secrets. The banter between Rowan and Josie was spectacular. Rowan was a MAN OBSESSED while Josie could not stand his presence. The way he kept showing up at her dates cracked me up! I loved watching them fight their feelings for each other and then finally giving in to the temptation. This one was so good and I highly recommend!!

4.25⭐️

i loved the plot especially when we have a female lead who takes down those terrible men. while i do have small issues like we never get to see the investigation part in this book (probably because josie's tools is extracting information), i truly enjoyed reading this that i can't even put it down.

i also loved how we thought rowan finds her horrible or a gold digger or something because she's dating a lot of rich men. except from him. little did we know he's just a "little bit" obsessed with our girl josie. they were so hot and cute together. they're very compatible too because they're both workaholic. i liked how supportive rowan is too. and i believed josie when she said most men will not approve of her job. but damn. rowan here be like "as long as at the end of the day, you are mine" or something around that context, you get me. and don't get me started with him recreating those "missed" dates. because i was melting. i loved it. he's just so perfect. morgan elizabeth never failed to deliver a swoon-worthy book boyfriends.

i'm excited to read the other mavens book (i mean, lana gets assigned to a hot dude who may or may not be her love interest)!
