What would you do if you knew the apocalypse was coming?

There’s a new disease sweeping across the world in an unnatural way and at extraordinary speed. No one is reporting quickly enough that people are becoming frenzied, developing fangs, and biting any victim they encounter.

Where did this new pandemic come from?

Moments before the world falls into chaos, Ben Duncan summons all five of his adult children to return to the family’s remote cabin in Northern Michigan. If he’s right, the world is changing, people are turning, and nothing is as simple as it seems. David, Keziah, Jonathan, Gabriel, and Ellyse Duncan have all taken different paths through life, but they agree on one they will do what it takes to survive without sacrificing who and what matters most.

What will take place if not all of them can make it to the cabin before civilization devolves? Will they be able to face the destruction of everything they know head on? What happens as priorities shift in order to survive?

If you love character-driven stories, and need an original thrilling spin on the apocalypse, then plunge into this family-oriented tale of the world’s collapse.

This book stressed me out in the best way 💛 it was a perfect mix of character development and action. Such a page turner! The characters make choices you don't always love, but I think that's a part of the fun! It makes them feel more real. There were a few points in the book where I felt like reactions were a little unrealistic and too optimistic, but it didn't at all take away from the story or experience! For a debut novel, I am blown away and highly anticipating the next release. This book made me laugh, cry, and physically clench up. What more can a girl want from a book!?

This was a compelling story and a great read! There are lots of characters but they are all well developed and I found myself invested in each of them and their stories! Would love it if we could get some more flashbacks or insight into characters past in future books, not necessary to the plot line but they are all so interesting! I’m anxiously awaiting the next book of the series to find out more about this apocalypse and how it develops! I’m seriously wondering how anyone is going to survive it but I hope they all do!!

This book is engaging, thought-provoking, and well written. The authors did a fantastic job, showcasing the relationship between siblings and the bond that will carry them through life. This book will have you rejoicing with the characters, cheering them on, crying with them, becoming invested as you read this book. As I read the book I wanted to hurry through so I could see what was coming next. The end was surprising and leaves you excited and in anticipation for the continuation of the story. You will not be disappointed . this is a must read.

Absolutely loved this book. I couldn’t put it down. I was in it to win it with the Duncan’s from start to finish. So many scenes had me on the edge of my seat and I was fully emotionally invested.
