In a quiet town full of secrets, one man has reached his limit.
When justice fails and monsters hide behind masks of respectability, someone has to clean up the mess. Ryan never planned to become that someone.
But once you see the truth, you can’t unsee it.
As the lines between punishment and purpose blur, Ryan descends into a chilling crusade where every decision leaves a scar. And with each name that disappears from his list, the town grows quieter…
But the weight grows heavier.
Dark. Intimate. Unrelenting.
Let Me Show You is a slow-burn psychological thriller that asks one haunting
What if the only way to fix a broken world... is to break yourself?
Let me start out by saying this looks like a word document. Some of the lines literally have one or two words on it. Almost like it was a thought that didnt quite make the cut for a sentence or even a space next to other words. Basically a grocery list. Several times the phrase "no punctuation" was used after a message was sent. But that message had two periods in it. Sooo...it actually did have punctuation. At some point we switched to a different person and went from first to third person POV. No warning and multiple times. It did feel like it was dragging at some points, but it was ok. Would I read it again? No. Would I recommend it? No.
This book was really good! It was gorier than I usually read, but it was really well written and kept my attention. There’s not a lot of guessing during the first 2/3 of the book…it’s just a story of what’s happening in this town. When it gets towards the end, you’ll have to start guessing what’s going on, who’s involved, and how it’s going to end. Great book!
This book quietly pulled me into a small town that seemed calm, peaceful, and ordinary, until I realized it would reshape my understanding of conventional morality through the guise of vigilante justice. Ryan is a character I can wholly relate to through the grief resulting from the loss of his father and the battle of vigilante retribution threatening to consume him. He was written so down-to-earth that I could painfully empathize with his decisions that left blisters on his soul as sacrifices made in the name of keeping the peace.
I found myself unblinking as I devoured page after page, driven by the same life-altering questions Ryan was forced to face. This story genuinely had me second-guessing my own sense of morality and justice, nudging at convictions I thought were unshakable. It prodded at my moral compass in uncomfortable ways I didn’t expect but absolutely respected. Between the gore, psychological thrills, suspense, fear, revenge, and control, this book didn’t let me read passively. It made me question who I could trust unconditionally, how far society should go to protect peace and safety, and who should wield power as a weapon against injustice. It even had me wondering if someone can hold true power while maintaining their sanity. Peace, trust, and safety come at a price far more expensive than most realize, and this story forces you to sit in that uncomfortable truth. I love thought-provoking, morally complex stories that challenge me, push my boundaries, and make me question my own convictions, and this one has stayed with me. This story highlights the sacrifices made to uphold justice, promoting an introspection that lasts far beyond the final page.
