Tipping Point: Dominoes

Rate this book
The Allied forces in Korea are reeling from North Korea’s surprise attack. The air supremacy General Carswell holds over the theater are the only things holding back the surge of enemy mechanized units swallowing up vast tracts of the central region. The ground supply routes to the east are threatened. And with the conflict with China, there are few reserves that can be spared for the Korean Peninsula.

In Taiwan, Chinese advances are within miles of Taipei. More and more American and Taiwanese forces are fed into the line holding China from pushing into the capital. The carriers of the United States remain away from the action, but there is a plan in place. Will it be enough to allow the naval task forces to finally engage?

And the Middle East is again heating up, with Iran again vowing Israel’s destruction. With the United States struggling in their war with China, Iran sees an opportunity to strike without interference. And with the Russian Federation poised to attack Ukraine, will the hostilities spill over into a global conflict?

It could stand a good editing. Wasted pages of insignificant musings detracted from the overall story.

Wars are breaking out all over the world. We have China against the US over Taiwan, North Korea against South Korea and the US, Iran with it's allies Hamas, Houthis and Hezbollah against Israel and Russia threatening Ukraine. This is an action packed tale of warfare with battles resulting in massive loss of lives. The shape the world is in now with dictators and authoritarians ruling many countries unfortunately this is a scary premise that may not be so farfetched. This is the final book in this great 10 book series and I recommend you check out the series if you're a fan of the military genre.

It's Over!

I choose the title with a little sadness. I have so enjoyed the whole "Tipping Point" series that I hated to see this book bring it to a close. The characters were so "real" that you could feel for them and their individual situations. The plot was understandable and very believable. I hope his next effort is along similar lines as we strive to make sure events like these don't come to pass in the real world. Thank you, John O'Brien.

NOT THE FINISH I WANTED

The Iran- Israel story arc is a huge distraction from the main plot. After nine books, I was looking
forward to learning how events will China and North Korea would unfold. The way China agrees to cease hostilities is anticlimatic. It looks like the author got tired of writing the story at the very end.

Great story

No, I will not give up any secrets! Lots of plot twists in this one. Lots of action I read it in 3 days. Now I have to go see if the wife is still here. Bob Slater under my wife's account.

different war fronts are brought to a conclusion, so that's good! Overall loved the series and couldn't wait to download the next one in the series each time I finished one.
