I shouldn’t be thinking about my ex’s sister… in my bed wearing nothing but my jersey.
I’ve had my fill of puck bunnies and post-game regrets. The last thing I need is a distraction.
Then Mandy spins the bottle at a party and kisses me. It's pucking mind-blowing.
She’s all grown up with ambition, attitude, and killer curves. But off-limits in every way…ex’s orders.
She needs a quiet place to study for the bar exam. So, I offer my spare room knowing damn well it’s trouble.
It’s supposed to be harmless. It’s not.
She wears tiny shorts. Steals my hoodies. Tests every bit of control I’ve got.
Late nights turn into real talk and loaded looks. And the second her lips touch mine again…
Game over.
She’s the kind of good I never saw coming. I’m the risk she can’t afford.
If this is a bad idea, I’ll take the penalty.
Because she’s the one game I can’t afford to lose.

Welcome to the My Pucked Up hockey world, where every book brings a new couple, a complete love story, and plenty of familiar faces popping up along the way. Expect smart banter, big feelings, and spicy chemistry that keeps things interesting on and off the ice. So lace up… these hockey heartthrobs are just getting started.
Mandy has graduated from law school and is now studying to pass the bar exam. She’s just moved in to a new apartment, only to find her neighbor is her sister’s high school ex, Nate Jones. In her mind, that makes him off-limits, no matter how hot he is, and despite how he seems to always know when she needs to step away from her studies.
Nate was recently traded to the Detroit Acers, and still feels like he has something to prove, but instead of pushing boundaries, he settles in and does the work. He proves his worth in practice and in the games, not letting anything the other guys say get into his head.
Naturally, nature is going to take its course, regardless of anyone’s plans.
I love how invested Nate became just by seeing Mandy again when she’s moving in to her apartment next to his. He becomes her friend, but for him, she’s it. The One. Mandy, on the other hand, thinks that nothing should get in the way of her career. I get that, I really do. But I’m the person who thinks that we should work to live, not live to work. And Nate draws her out of that pit of endless study and gets her to look at the world around them.
Honestly, they’re two sides of the same coin — intense, focused, and guarded, but each dealing with it in different ways.
Mandy does have doubts, of course, and doesn’t know how to process them. She’s been so locked into this path to becoming a lawyer, that she hasn’t let herself blow off any steam. Nate also has doubts, but not about Mandy. He feels like he’s never going to be accepted by the rest of the Acers, that no one will recognize the effort he’s putting into this team. And he voices those doubts to Mandy, hoping to encourage her to share hers.
It’s sweet, watching these two fall in love, and is possibly the sweetest steamy hockey romance I’ve read so far. This is not a criticism, it’s a compliment. I could really feel the connection between these two characters, and I even cried in the last couple of chapters (don’t worry, it has an HEA).
I’ve really enjoyed all of the books in this series so far, and I will enjoy whatever will come in the future from this author.
When Nate saw his new neighbor,he couldn’t believe how grown she is,last time he saw her , she was a little girl,he dated her sister. Mandy was studying law school and went to share an apartment with her friend, she met Nate, her sister ex. He was a hot hockey player. Her friend Kira organized a small gathering and invited Nate and some of his teammates , they played some games one of the games was spin the bottle and they had to kiss each other, they both felt something from the kiss not just a game. One day after practice while he was going back home he saw her coming late from library, she said that at home she can’t study because Kira is noisy, he offered her a room the one he use as an office. They became very close, one day her sister phoned her face time and when she saw that there’s Nate with her, she warned her that he’s a player. When she backed away, he wanted to fight to win her back.
An amazing story , as always I enjoyed reading Another book of this series. You can read it as a solo.
Nate and Mandy I love a good hockey story and this one did not disappoint. The camaraderie between the team, their partners and the single players was both playful and serious. Nate, Defenceman for the Acers hockey team gets reacquainted with his ex girlfriend’s sister when he finds she’s moved in next door to him. Attracted to her but knowing she’s off limits he tries to keep away. Mandy, going to law school studying for the bar is equally attracted to Nate but knows that nothing can happen due to their past history. The pull is far too great though and they find themselves spending more and more time together. Lines blur and they can’t deny their feelings anymore. When doubts arise will they be strong enough to choose each other? This was an entertaining quick read which was a fun, cute, steamy at times story with great characters.
4.5 stars - love this series! Lily has written a fantastic series, especially for anyone who loves sports romances, particularly hockey ones. Each can stand alone but also flow well together. There is witty banter, lovable characters (including side characters that are often in each other's books), drama, deep emotions, passion and just the right amount of steam. My favorite thing about this book is how the main characters seem more down to earth with real emotional issues that normal people have. I found myself delving through the chapters to see how the issues could get resolved - and loved how they got to their HEA! Highly recommend to everyone!.

OMG this was another great story. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was crazy intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. Nate and Mandy chemistry was so intense. But Mandy never thought she could fallen for her sis ex’s Nate in a thousand years. But the physical attraction was sexy and spicy of hot of passion and captivating of romance and intriguing. They couldn’t fight the temptation any longer as they gave into their desire and seductive nature of intimacy and more. Was this love for her or him or just a one night stand of affection. I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion. Trina Jones
Mandy & Nate’s story was the perfect mix of sweet and swoony.
So what if she’s his ex’s little sister? Loved their chemistry. Mandy is so driven and so focused...can't blame her for being scared. Nate has that bad boy reputation but he is totally top-tier boyfriend material. 🥰🥰 He offered her a place to study and believed in her dreams.
This one made me smile big. I like my reads, sweet 💕and steamy🌶. The more I read, the more I fall for the Detroit Acers and their WAGs.
Read this early thanks to Booksprout Huge thanks to Lily Doral for the advanced copy! 💛 Always love getting a sneak peek.
Another fantastic book by Lily. Loved every book in this series.
Mandy was just moving in to her new apartment when she hears someone call her nickname Little Fields. She looks and sees Nate her sisters high school boyfriend.
Nate is in the apartment next door. She is studying for the bar and he offers her a quiet place to study. After awhile things get heated and they find they are moving towards being more than friends.
I would recommend this series to any reader who loves a great hockey book.
I was sent this book through book funnel as an arch read. I love Lily’s hockey series, she makes you effortlessly fall in love with the whole friend group. The banter is amazing! Mandy and Nate so far are my favorite couple in this group, even though she’s hesitant with the dating a hockey star and doesn’t think she’s enough. Nate is the golden retriever we all want, the epitome of if he wanted to he would. The way he shows her he’s there when she’s hesitant is perfect.
Mandy is driven to have an amazing career while being consumed by studies. She has a hard time letting go and relaxing. Then here comes her sister’s ex boyfriend Nate the steamy neighbor who always manages to catch her off guard. They are both consumed by their careers yet Nate won’t let Mandy loose herself in it. They find that balance with work and life together!! Loved the chemistry between them.

This HOT romance book right here is not a 5-star read it’s an INFINITY star read instead. WOW!!! There are not even enough stars to even begin to describe how PHENOMENAL and HOT I feel about this book right here is by Lily. OMG the romance between Mandy and Nate gave me chills, and the storyline is dynamite.
Surprisingly refreshing sports romance. The banter between Nate and Mandy was at a nice playful level that wasn’t overly over the top. The supporting characters were a lot of fun. A lot of potential in future books in the series. Looking forward to the next book.
I enjoyed my pucked up neighbor which was Nate and Mandy’s story. It was a fun, and entertaining read. Loved these characters. I received an early copy of the book. And voluntarily leaving this review.
I enjoyed reading at first because the story had great potential and started off strong, but later it became boring as the ending dragged. A quick read.
Loved it with the hockey trope & the ex's little sister trope...it is lower on the spice scale (🔥🔥 at most) but it's a great story that I'll definitely be re-reading!!
