In When Legends Were Ohio State the defining moments, plays and games that catapulted 20 Ohio State football players to legendary heights among the Buckeye faithful are brought to life. Each of these legendary players has his own unique story in this regard and together they weave a tapestry of Ohio States legendary history while providing an in-depth look into the men and games that helped shape and build the Ohio State football tradition and heritage. The glory of such legends of yesterday as Chic Harley, Les Horvath and Woody Hayes comes alive alongside such modern-day heroes as Archie Griffin, Eddie George and Troy Smith.
I thought that the book was good because I love football and it listed things about how the buckeyes became a football team and how they got so good to be able to go to the championship.i also think that the book is formatted differently than the other Ohio state books I read. It started with the later years than the early years.my favorite part of the book was when they listed the players each year and the championships they won.
