I watched the series before reading the book. I didn't know how accurate the show was to the book, after reading it I can say it's pretty much scene by scene the same. I feel like if the translation was better I could give 4 stars to the book, but the way some sentences where translated just kept throwing me out of the book. I'm glad I read it cause I understood some things that weren't too clear on the series or at least I hadn't realized then. One thing I didn't expect was to have Khem move on from his father's death so fast. In the series was the same, but I just assumed it was a bad adaptation from the book. Guess not...
