The audience for this book is teenagers. Since I teach science to teenagers, I thought it was worth a read. The authors make some good points, but the arguments seem over simplified. That being said, it could produce some good conversations between thoughtful adults and teens regarding this BIG question. Do you have to choose? I've literally had students say to me how can you teach science since you are a Christian? But honestly, my faith is why I chose to study science. Its a way of understanding God and the world He created better.

A delightful book on Science and Christian Faith. Both authors show how Science is not antithetical to Christian faith nor the other way round. Written for teens, but adults would gain much from it as well. The chapter on Creation and beginnings is useful but left me wanting the authors to go deeper. They left some conclusions wide open. Outside of that, the whole book was worth the time to read and can be very useful. I liked it.

“You might be used to thinking of scientists and religious people as entirely distinct from one another.” This book proves that you don’t have to choose a side- science or religion. The two complement each other! Science AND religion. You can be a scientist and believe in God. Science can answer the “how,” but only God can answer the “why.”

You’ll learn what scientists like Galileo, Newton, Einstein, Sir Ghillean Prance, Rosalind Picard, and more add to this conversation (and you might be surprised what they think). This book explains how science works and why science can’t explain everything. Science has its limits! That’s why we need something more.

You’ll think on big questions like: Why is the universe ordered and understandable at all? Why does gravity exist? Does everyone have faith- even atheists?!? How do you test the truth of the Bible? Do miracles and science contradict each other?

In an age where kids can access information from so many sources, this book will help ground them in truth. I love how it gives both sides of common arguments and doesn’t scare away from the hard questions. It will give kids (and adults) the confidence to defend their faith with facts and truth. Whether you put your faith in the big bang theory or the creation story- you are still taking a leap of faith! But which one has the evidence to back it up?

This book will benefit new believers, unbelievers, and even those far along in their walk with Christ. This book will challenge you and you’ll probably learn something new. It will encourage you to ask more questions and go seek the truth. Test it yourself.

Kids ages 10+, and even adults, will enjoy this short but clear guide to why science and God work together. (This book says it's geared to teens, but it is very simplified, and I think middle school and even younger could benefit when they start asking questions.) I believe teenagers could start here, but could definitely handle something that dives deeper.

*I was sent a copy of this insightful and thoughtful book by The Good Book Company in exchange for my honest review.

This is an excellent book that provides a distillation of John Lennox’s thoughts about faith and science. Even while designed for young people, the good arguments are still all there, just communicated in a way that is accessible. Well done John and Katy.

It's a short, concise, and precise book that covers the intended topic well. It's not difficult and would be a great starting point for younger readers.
