Oh, this was totally juicy and SO much fun to read!
I can definitely see people not liking it because there were quite a lot of kisses he gave our sweet Nonoka (that were usually) without consent, but goodness was I seated nonetheless! (Also want to say that he DOES stop when she says stop!) The teasing is so very good because at first, I really don't know if Watarse genuinely liked her or not, but I feel with how he is staying with her when she's sick and him saying he doesn't want anyone to steal her laughs from him is SURELY a sign he DOES like her?! I mean, right?? He may be a comedian, but he doesn't seem to be THAT much of a jerk?
I don't know, maybe I'm being delulu here because he WAS pretty flirty, but it doesn't seem the same as when it's with our girl? Though poor Nonoka falling in love with a guy like him! I can't help but agree with the title on K MANGA of Watch Out for Watarse, because girl YES! I'm holding onto those dreams with her of being swept off her feet because I love how she moved to the city for that!
But...
She really wasn't expecting Watarse to be the one to cause that feeling and felt a little bad for her! LOL!
I LOVE the art so much!! The fashion is so cool, and I think all the expressions are so fun!
Overall, I really, really liked this one and hope we will get it physically printed at some point since we've gotten other series from this magazine!

If you’re still trying to decide if you want to read this manga, you do. Trust me. Every chapter of this volume was better than the last, leaving me absolutely unable to wait for the next volume (coming out in October!).
I really enjoyed all of the characters introduced in this volume, and Watarase is a surprisingly complex character! While he is portrayed as a scummy playboy, he has quite a few moments of actual genuine nice-ness, that left me questioning whether he’s just pretending to be scummy for his comedy persona.
This volume had very good pacing as well! I was never left feeling bored, and I also never felt like their relationship was moving too quickly.

Growing up in a small village Hanazawa Nonoka has been friends with the same group of people since elementary school, for that reason she isn’t seen as a “girl” amongst her guy friends. Desperate to find a love that makes her heart race, she moves to Tokyo to make that her reality. She moves in with her brother who just so happens to be a very popular comedian. Her brother forgot to mention that she would also be sharing his place with his comedic playboy partner Watarse.
Watarse is very pushy and full of himself, he knows women find him attractive and he comes off super creepy and forceful.
Also if I had to read Nonoka mention that this man’s body count was over 500 one more time I was going to commit arson.

If you're looking for a rom-com that also has plenty of yearning and angst, Watch Out for Watarase might be the book for you. Nonoka and Watarase has a pretty interesting dynamic, especially with the back-and-forth banter resulting from them spending a lot of time together as roommates. While Watarase's player nature might be off-putting to some, you get to see more of a gentler side of him when he's with Nonoka the further you get into the book and that ultimately hints that Watarase's feelings for Nonoka are genuine. That being said, this is a great introduction to this and I can't wait to see where it goes next.
