I don't know what it is, but every time I read a volume of this series (digitally only, I should say), I'm always sick, but every time I read it when sick, I feel a little bit better! <3

I was definitely nervous for a hot minute, though, because Fuumin, I need you to back off a little bit, buddy! And I definitely need you to NOT try and bully Zen as you did at the end, telling him things you had ZERO business telling him! Risa is extremely happy by Zen's side, and he certainly is NOT ruining her future or wasting her time by being with him! 😝

Besides the love triangle, but definitely isn't one because our leads only have eyes for each other, I LOVED the sweet moment Risa and Zen had at the beginning! Not only that, I loved how Risa made her first (girl) friend! How exciting! I also loved seeing her open up to Zen and her realizing she can tell him anything. That scene really touched my heart, and I was so proud of her!

I'm excited for the next volume and will take the creator's words to heart to not be too harsh on Fuumin, but I certainly hope our leads have more romantic page time next volume and that he (Fuumin) doesn't act out so much due to the jealousy he doesn't want to admit!

There’s not much to say here, so I will eschew my verbosity for something slightly shorter. This continues to be very good, albeit not quite as amazing as the opening volumes.

Zen and Risa are still a delight. Risa in particular just seems to demolish obstacles in front of her and I love her personality and vibe. She and Zen share many great little moments throughout the book.

I could do without this frequently teased love triangle with Fuumin. I get that he has a reason to be a pushy dumbass at times - he cannot stand Zen, so why not make a pass at Zen’s girlfriend if he likes her? (I do not condone this, just pointing out how a dumb boy thinks!)

Yet Risa loves Zen and vice versa, so even less reason than usual to draw this out. Fuumin playing on Zen’s involvement when Risa should be studying is a real go-nowhere plot, far as I’m concerned.

Then again, when Fuumin saves Risa and he tries to make her his gopher? Zen stepping in to take over so she can keep studying is absolutely the best scenario there. It’s a very funny way to get some laughs from an old trope.

When something goes from perfection to excellent, it can’t help but feel a little sad, but I will continue to enjoy this. Risa and Zen dating makes for a good time and, honestly, the way it’s addressing Risa’s ongoing desires is a welcome plot point.

4 stars - it doesn’t have an especially amazing storyline right now, but it does have a couple that I love watching and that’s more than enough to make this fun.

I love Risa. I love how she's not afraid to speak her mine. She's kind and knows how to communicate well. She knows it's the most important thing even when it might feel like a struggle to do so

4.5 stars. More development with 2nd guy (just background and where he's at). Risa still isn't even slightly aware or interested in him. More cute, sweet, and romantic scenes with Risa and Zen. Zen is pretty cool and all-in on Risa. His correcting of the girl who tells him "you don't find a girl like Risa every day" with "Not just 'every day'. Not anywhere. Risa's one of a kind." Like okay. Boy has it bad and knows he is lucky. He knows the quality and worth of the girl he likes, and there is something nice about watching a young guy be so real and down to earth about it. He may be a punk, but he is mature and steady. He is not perfect but feels multifaceted and is able to do new things, try different things to be a good and supportive boyfriend.
Also, communication started to get discouraged, but then just a quick conversation moved things forward and eased both parties. "When I'm not sure what to do, that's when I need to communicate." The kids are alright. Nice things are nice.

Después de conocer a Kuma y descubrir que la joven fue una antigua compañera del instituto de Zen, al igual que la causante de que lo expulsaran, su opinión de Risa sobre la joven no ha variado. Es más, Risa sigue con el propósito de ser su amiga y de seguir yendo a sitios juntas. Pero Kuma, la cual deberá mudarse de nuevo por el trabajo de su padre, sufre en silencio al no poder tener amigas de verdad en cuanto se marcha a otro lugar y ser olvidada, relegada solamente por no estar ya en el mismo centro educativo. Pero Risa está a punto de demostrarle que no todas las personas son así y de que Kuma es alguien importante para ella y que no piensa abandonarla solo porque se tenga que mudar.

Haciendo su primera amiga, Risa se siente más cerca de Kuma ahora que esta le ha abierto su corazón. Por su parte, Kuma también se saca la espinita que lleva clavada en el corazón durante años al poderle decir a Zen a la cara que le gusta y no sufrir por saber que él tiene novia, y una de la que está tan orgulloso y a la que la misma Kuma aprecia muchísimo.

Superado este episodio, Zen decide resarcirse por lo ocurrido durante su última cita con Risa en el Zoológico, y aprovechando que hay una noria cerca, ambos van para alla. Pero entonces...

Risa, que está supernerviosa cada vez que recuerda su último beso, no sabe cómo comportarse frente a Zen. Porque ese beso no fue como los anteriores y despertó un ardor en Risa que no conocía, ni mucho menos habría imaginado que existía. Y es que lo que siente por Zen es cada vez más fuerte y el deseo cuando están juntos, también. Aunque al principio todo fuese casto, inocente y puro por su parte (ya que Risa jamás ha tenido amigos, menos aún novios), la joven cada vez quiere más con Zen, pero eso no implica que no sienta vergüenza y nervios al estar solos aunque al final siempre se deje llevar por lo que siente y por el ardor de Zen.

Así pues, con una relación que va viento en popa y que cada vez es más fuerte, Risa se ve metida en un problema cuando Fumiya, el cual se está preparando para los exámenes de entrada en la universidad, se hace daño por ayudarla y le pide que se haga responsable. ¿Qué hará Risa?

Presentando nuevos problemas que los protagonistas deben superar juntos, Más allá del amor sigue siendo una obra de confort maravillosa, divertida y con un romance adorable entre dos adolescentes que están creciendo juntos y creando una relación de pareja más fuerte e indestructible.

Allora, questo Fumiya sta diventando un personaggio particolarmente interessante. Non dovrei essere troppo sorpresa, perché questo manga è pieno di personaggi ben costruiti.
Non so se nei prossimi volumi si vedrà qualcosa di più del passato di questo ragazzo, ma è evidente che c'è qualche problema in famiglia - ho come l'impressione che la sua immagine e certi suoi atteggiamenti da teppista siano una risposta alle costanti critiche del padre (che gli preferisce il fratello maggiore). Anche perché il ragazzo ha progetti importanti per il futuro: sarà pure uno che mena le mani, ma per lui lo studio è qualcosa di importante, l'obiettivo è quello di entrare in un'università prestigiosa (cosa che non era riuscita nemmeno al fratello). Tutti gli dicono di ripensarci, di puntare a qualcosa di meno impegnativo, ma lui non ha alcuna intenzione di mollare il colpo.
Resta da capire la vera natura dei suoi sentimenti nei confronti di Risa: ha zero speranze, però è chiaramente affascinato. Non credo che ci sarà spazio per un triangolo, però potrebbe rappresentare un elemento di disturbo. Sono curiosa di vedere come evolverà anche il suo rapporto con Zen, visto che il ragazzo lo segue passo passo dopo che Fumiya si è fatto male per proteggere Risa.
Comunque, Risa e Zen stanno diventando una delle mie ship preferite, quindi non ci serve altro drama gratuito e non richiesto.

Zen and Risa are so cute but my heart goes out for Fuumin. I don’t love this love triangle though because it’s giving me nothing.

Recap: new friends, Ferris wheel kiss, cram school, fuumin is burning out and not eating, Risa goads him and he finally eats, he catches her when she’s about to fall and breaks him right arm, which is an issue because exams. Zen becomes his errand boy to make up. Christmas party and kisses.

I love these two, they are so cute. I love this new trope of girls in shoujo wanting to kiss the boys. I love it. The art is so cute. They both love each other so much and care so much about each other. I just love seeing them support and be kind to each other. This one takes place around christmas so we get a cute Christmas party tree moment. I love these dorks.

I love the main couple but have little patience for love triangles and especially when it feels like an expected trope diversion from the romance just to make it longer. That said, I still love this series.

Even though the male characters are considered the delinquents/punks, they don’t really cause that much issues in the series…. Honestly, the female characters are the ones stirring up all the trouble while the guys need to come to the rescue!
