I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.
I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters.

Sadie Hargrove, former Army and CIA, as well as a computer wiz , has taken a job in Montana with Lighthouse Security. The change is welcomed after spending time in Florida caring for her very ill mother.
First stop, have a tasty meal at the local bar & grill. Whom she never expected to meet there and have an unforgettable time, is Todd Blake.
Imagine their surprise when they come face to face the morning of her interview .
Todd’s reaction was abominable, hurting Sadie deeply.
For the last 18 months they keep their distance and barely tolerate being close together.
All changes when Sadie needs help in her undercover work at a spa in Arizona.
What is really going on in the spa? Why are women disappearing? What happens when Sadie realizes what really is reason of the spa?
Will Todd be able to help her ? If they survive, will they realize they are meant to be together?
The story was engaging from beginning to end. It was action packed , filled with bad guys, hunky good ones and a strong female character.

This is my first book of the series, but I can confirm that I wasn’t lost at all. I didn’t feel like I missed things (though I’ll likely go back to the beginning because I want to!). I felt like I was totally caught up because Todd and Sadie are a tale entirely their own within this series.
Sure, Todd messes up at first. As Casper agrees, just like every man before him, too. But he comes clean about his feelings when his concerns over Sadie and this mission make it clear that he’s got deeper emotions tied to her. And he finds that it’s a surprise to nobody, which is hilarious. He also does his best to make things right, to avoid wasting more time, and to make sure that he and Sadie HAVE a future ahead.
Sadie is utterly lovable and impressive, honestly. She’s smart and observant and doesn’t let her ego get in the way when it’s clear that things are out of her control. She doesn’t hold a grudge, she thinks things through, and she doesn’t shy away from the danger. She’s someone I adored spending time with and would love to see again.
These two made for a swift read, complete with disappointment when I hit the very last page and realized our time together is done. I now can’t wait to see what comes next because this tale surely grabbed me and didn’t let go.

I’ve said it before, but I just have to say it again. No one, and I repeat, no one, writes a romance quite like Maryann Jordan. This beautiful author brings us nothing but 24 carat gold in every word and page she gifts us with.
I adore the Lighthouse Security Investigations world but I have to say that there’s something extra special about the Montana guys.
I love how Maryann went back to the beginning and started with their compelling and heart achingly sweet meeting, moving through the timeline to the present to let us immerse ourselves in their beautiful love story.
Simon is a born protector but bless his heart, he’s take it to the extreme, and in the process, and a moment of panic he totally screws up and jeopardises what could be the best thing in his life.
I love watching him interact with his found family and brother in arms. Their bond and camaraderie steadfast and true. One thing I love about a series is seeing character and friends from previous books. We get to see how their lives are progressing and it’s great to catch up.
When he screws up with Sadie my heart bled for him whilst simultaneously begging him to be quiet. What I love though is seeing him own his mistake. He knows he messed up and I find that refreshing and endearing.
Sadie is a badass. She’s such an awesome character. I loved watching her let go and just enjoy life when they first met, although that quickly changed to empathy on her behalf when she’s subjected to Todd’s negative behaviour.
It’s only a moment but I could see just how much that moment broke her. For that moment in time my heart bled for her.
Watching them tiptoe around each other, both with their walls up, both not know g what to do to break the stalemate they were in. It was plain as day to see what they meant to each other but it was painful to watch them tread water because they were scared to put themselves out there.
I absolutely love watching them admit their feelings and their mantra of doing things together, as a team. So beautiful. Their path was maddened with rocks and debris but I wouldn’t have had it any other way because if that hadn’t happened then we wouldn’t have been so honoured as to witness their love flourish and thrive.
Maryann Jordan is an exceptional author, and without fail, brings us to our knees with each new book she releases.
This is a beautiful read.
It’s compelling and addictive.

A new series and new author for me and honestly even if it's not the first book in the series you can jump into it without fear it's work as a standalone yes i do get curious about the organisation so i plan to start at book 1 soon but it's sane curiosity you don't have any big cliffhanger or missing part the story is enough in itself.
It was really interesting even if at first i was surprised to get the steamy scene at the beginning of the book it does fit with the story as it's its fundation. Todd and Sadie met at a bar and it went fast from that....however they did not speak or their job or identity above the name...so when then see each other the next day at their workplace........it crashes.
Todd always was a protective one, he sure feels something strong and new to him for Sadie but when he discover they will be teammate his first reaction is to stop everything...just to protect her and the team. He sure is bad with words and he ends up hurting those he loves but his determination and loyalty are in his favour.
Sadie left the CIA and she is starting anew after loosing her mom....she is distabilized wanting a fresh start and this new job in Montana seems perfect....everything seems even better when she meet a good looking, attentive, funny man at the bar........Until she learns that they will work together and think their history is a mistake. Courageous, strong Sadie does not give up and work hard to be accepted into the team even taking assignment while keeping secret what happened between them even if she is not indifferent.
When she is in danger though he is the one she trustes and by opening herself she may see what his reasonning was no matter how misplaced it was.
I loved the investigation it was really well written and quite creepy, i loved to see the team in action we got enough information about them to appreciate them and seeing how they work together was great even if we don't know their own story nothing felt missing.

After an emotionally draining time caring for her terminally ill mother Sadie Hargrove arrives in Montana ready to start afresh after her heartbreak. She’s taken a job at Lighthouse Security ready to use the computer skills she honed in the military and CIA. Ready to enjoy a bar meal before her first day at work she takes the advice of an attractive stranger and ends up eating a burger with him, as well as sharing an instant mutual spark of attraction. Todd Blake stopped off for a burger and ended up spending time with a gorgeous woman. Their chemistry leads to a night to remember and both have thoughts about pursuing something but work commitments mean Todd is gone by morning. Fast forward a few hours and Todd’s brain short circuits when he discovers Sadie is LSI Montana’s newest employee and he reacts badly and with a simple sentence hurts her and stomps all over any thoughts of a budding relationship. Todd knows he’s messed up but his protector instincts screamed that nothing good can come from a workplace relationship so he pushes Sadie away and she feels utterly rejected.
The pair keep their relationship utterly professional over the months and a friendship of sorts evolves but the underlying attraction remains firmly in place. When Sadie takes centre stage in their latest mission Todd realises he wants more, he wants a relationship regardless of work consequences and when he comes clean about his feelings and deeper emotions where Sadie is concerned to his co-workers he finds it’s a surprise to no one, now he just has to ensure Sadie survives the mission. Sadie is fab - smart, tough, badass you can’t help but love her. The plot premise of what is happening at the spa is fascinating and scarily plausible. Sadie realises what is happening to her but is determined to see the mission through, Todd is equally determined to to ensure she stays save and comes out alive so he can convince her to give him another chance.
Another brilliant story in the LSI Montana series, loved the ups and downs of Sadie and Todd’s relationship and the fact that they fooled no one. Interesting plot, great characters, totally recommend you read.

This is book five in The Lighthouse Security Investigations Montana series and it is Todd and Sadie’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Sadie is a former military and CIA special ops and is now in Montana and going for a job interview to hopefully become a keeper for LSIM which is just what she needed after her mother died along with the grief that followed but while in a bar the night before her interview she met Todd and felt a instant connection to him and they ended up having a explosive night together only for them both to meet again and be shocked as Todd also works for LSIM but his words to Sadie were not only harsh but hurtful so they decided to act as if nothing happened between them. Todd had experienced the most explosive night of his life with Sadie only to realise that she would be working for LSIM the same as him so he needed to keep his distance as he didn’t want anyone to know that they had been together. Sadie is really disappointed in Todd’s reaction to her so she also decided to ignore him as much as possible and just get on with her job. The attraction and chemistry between Sadie and Todd is still as strong and intense as ever but how will they work together while trying to deal with how they feel about each other, well only time will tell what the outcome will be in the end. When a woman disappears at a luxury spa it is Sadie that goes in to investigate but unfortunately danger is all around her and she is definitely in the crosshairs but with Todd and the keepers on the job they are determined to keep her safe while getting all the information that they need to take down this corrupt organisation regardless of what they have to do or the consequences involved. Wow this book takes you on the biggest rollercoaster ride of so many emotions and situations and it is a real page turner that will have you on the edge of your seat while holding your breath wondering what will happen next. This book is so addictive and kept my attention throughout and I just couldn’t put it down as it was action packed and I enjoyed everything about it. I definitely recommend you read this book and you will not be disappointed.

It's been a long and heart wrenching road....
And they thought they were hiding their chemistry....
Thought that if they didn't act on it....
Didn't feed it.....
Nobody would know....
They were only fooling themselves!
Todd makes a split second, knee jerk decision, and paired with an instinctive remark, which was meant to protect them both but instead appears as callus and uncaring, he costs them time. Time together as a couple, but they still have to work together, still see each other every day and although wary around each other, they do get to know each other better during this time. What a wonderful way to start a book with the two main characters meeting at a bar and finding that there is so much chemistry between the two only to have Todd mess things up once he learns Sadie has just been hired by LSI Montana.
Yes they can conduct themselves professionally but boy Todd has some groveling to do! Once he realizes how badly he messed up I really liked the way he starts to develop a friendship with Sadie. I think he really needed that growth.
Now Sadie is off on an undercover mission to a spa that seems off. She does have back up while Todd is back at HQ working the case from there. However her back up has an emergency and Todd flies in to be her back up. Can he and the Montana Keepers keep her safe? Will they be able to solve what is happening at the spa and why some guests are disappearing?
I this book had suspense, steam and action! Everything I love in a book as well as such eloquent descriptions of emotions, actions and scenery. Extremely well written and I highly recommend this book!

Wow, what a story. Another great one by Maryann Jordan.
I have always wanted to go to a spa for a week but now am rethinking that. Sadie is undercover in a spa that is using the guest as test subjects without their permission. She pretends to take the pills but gets them out to be tested for what they really are. When her partner ends up going for emergency surgery, Todd insists on rep!acing him to be her new partner. As they get closer to finding what is happening at the spa, Sadie suddenly becomes sick. With the effects of what they gave her getting worse, the move up the timeline to get what they need and get her out. Will they get all the information they need? When they learn about an associated facility close by where they take the "problem" guests that are never heard from again, Sadie wants to Check it out because one of the guests she talked to disappeared. Will they find Melinda before it is too late? Can Sadie be of any help even though she was drugged? Will they both finally admit their true feelings?

I was praying Todd wouldn't say the words he said and then cursed him when he did! Sadie's response was only to be expected but she certainly made Todd work hard to get back out of the colleague/friend-zone. The danger of her mission and Todd's protectiveness luckily gave them the opening to rediscover and finally acknowledge their love for each other.
The emotions shown on each and every page makes the reader really feel like you're with Todd and Sadie during their journey to that happy ending.

What a story! This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. Todd is a Member of LSIMT. He is a Keeper and on the team for a few months. Sadie is dealing with some life changes and is seeking a place to call home. She arrives in Montana for a job interview the next day. She heads to dinner and meets Todd who they have an instant connection and she invites him back for the night. What happens next is that they both jump to misconceptions and friend zone it is to protect their jobs or so they think. When Sadie is out on assignment and danger strikes can Todd and his teammates save Sadie? Can they put their differences and past aside and accept each other for who they are? Another well written book from Maryann Jordan! Great characters and team interaction. There is suspense, danger and a love worth fighting for. You don’t want to miss this book! 5+ stars.

They tried to keep their relationship on a professional co-workers level at first. Sadie went undercover on a mission that was relatively simple at first but evolved into a major conspiracy that required Todd to come get her out . This story is full of adrenaline induced, heart pumping drama until literally the very last page. This mission also allowed them to learn more about each other and to give them the courage to go after what both were trying to distance themselves from before it was too late in more ways than one. Maryann has again outdone herself!!

Sadie takes 10 days to relax at Serenity Dunes where wealthy woman have disappeared but will she end up next? or can Todd and the teams save her? Todd Butler works for Lighthouse Security Investigation but when he realizes he had one amazing night with their new team member will he push her away and possibly lose her forever? Great story filled with suspense and action packed and chemistry and romance and so much more.

I enjoyed the suspense in this one. Sadie is on her own, so to speak, during the investigation portion, but she's connected to the team via secret texts & calls. They have her back, even if they're not there-there. Lol
And although they're not "together" for most of the story, Sadie & Todd's connection, rebuilding, getting to a friendship & then being brave enough for more... it's well-paced & feels genuine.
Once they finally admit their feelings, things move quickly as they don't want to waste any more time, and that works well, too.

When you start reading one of the books about the Keepers, you want each and every one of them to go on forever, and Todd and Sadie's story is no different. It starts out typically, boy meets girl in a bar, they are sure they can build a relationship and yep, he messes up. But from then on its anything but typical and there is plenty of action, suspense and of course love in the end. Ms Jordan creates her characters in such a way that are live in the pages of the books and we follow their stories sometimes with worry they are in too deep. This is yet another great story in the series. Luckily there are still unattached Keepers so more to come.
