Seriously?

Okay usually I write spoilers, then thoughts but I’m going straight to the point on this one…SERIOUSLY?? What is it about authors not being vicious these days, lol?? Maybe I’m just bloodthirsty, but you know what, I’ll take it!!! Even rather fast paced books deserve a real “stick it to them” to the villain or villains!! The cheating ex, and ex best friend deserved a horrible ending, not a “they just didn’t show up at the wedding.” And Ryan (the cheating ex) certainly didn’t deserve to have his inheritance released to him. The only way that would’ve been acceptable was if in the epilogue it was stated that he was BROKE, like destitute and divorced!!! After the hell that Ryan put the two main characters through there was absolutely no way that his “end” was satisfying or “tied up.” Nope. The only true satisfying ending would’ve been Ryan blowing through his inheritance and coming back to his brother begging for money only to have him tell him to F off!! Oh, and a divorce from the horrible backstabbing ex best friend would’ve been a nice addition too. I would’ve given this book more stars if the villains had gotten what was coming for them. I’m glad our two main characters got together and that the drama was worked out, but the ending was not satisfying. It did not match the level of cruelty that Ryan had dished out. Again, truly the only good ending for Ryan would’ve been his broke a&& on the streets begging for money from his brother only to get turned away!!! Call me heartless but hey, when villains are evil they deserve a swift and conclusive kick in the rear!!!

Sienna and Matt.

An age gap, forbidden relationship between ex boyfriend's brother surprise pregnancy, fake relationship, romance. There was a lot going on, as in many different tropes but I liked the story!

He knew there was something different about Sienna but he just couldn't figure it out. Still reeling from her ex's and friend's betrayal - she wasn't expecting Matt. He got under her skin and pushed her buttons.

I loved the addition of Matt's son - he was so cute! On the other hand, Ryan was a real piece of work.

The banter between Sienna and Matt was not my favorite and not because I don't like the arguing.

The story flowed well.

She deserved better

I thought this had a good premise, a meet cute and the follow up fake date for the wedding, but then to ghost her like that, and in another country was a jerk measure. Then to call her over to apologize, sleep with her again, then go all cold immediately was just cruel. He was so much in his head it was ridiculous. And yes, he finally makes a sort-of-commitment, but only after he finds out she's pregnant. She deserved much better treatment from him.

Mia Mara is becoming a new favorite. Her latest has a big age gap: He’s 47, and she’s 28. It also has a hearty storyline that involves fake dating, an ex-boyfriend’s brother, and an accidental pregnancy. What I loved about this is the timeline. Usually with tropes like this, the story has a large gap between the pregnancy, then you have the grovel, but this story is part of the plot, not the end.

Matt and Sienna meet on a plane but do not know who they are to each other. I loved Sienna calling him out because her attitude holds strong for the whole story. Sienna’s ex, Matt’s brother Ryan, is a piece of work and irritating as he is intentionally written. Ryan stirs up trouble, but Matt is not without complaint either. Matt has major commitment issues due to his family, brother Ryan, and 5-year-old son. Some readers may think he didn’t grovel enough. It’s a messy, steamy, fun story, and I enjoyed it!

With a title like Accidental Mile High Daddy I expected kneeling and spanking and will it fit and don’t wear panties tonight vibes. Hey, I was in the mood for some BDE smut, ok?

So this book had no business being this good. Matt is a real (if conflicted) daddy, not a Dom with a discipline fetish, and Sienna is a woman who does not hold back when Matt is an ass. Which he is, repeatedly. If you love a heartbreaking, “WTF are you doing, this was real, dammit” scene and an excellent grovel, you’ll enjoy this one too.

Quibble: For some reason Matt’s parental trauma didn’t seem so awful to warrant his panic. He would have been an engaging child and found at least some surrogates to fill the void.

Matt’s 5-year-old child Zach isn’t as annoying as most, but he’s still too perfectly behaved to feel real.

Age gap: 29 and 48. Ish. I didn’t write it down. Anyway, they’re both grownups.

Do not be fooled by the cover or the title this was such a wholesome read! It had the perfect balance of plot, spice, and genuine character depth. Even though there were moments that could have turned into classic miscommunication drama, our MMC Matt was always ready to talk things through with Sienna. They had their ups and downs, but what I loved most was that their relationship didn’t fall apart over misunderstandings. It felt mature, heartfelt, and so satisfying to read.

Honestly, I didn’t think I would love this as much as I did, but it turned out to be a freaking 3.5 -star read for me! The name and cover can definitely be deceiving this story has way more than you’d expect.

I loved this age gap, ex's dad romance novel. The FMC, Sienna, is such a witty, sarcastic woman with a perfect dry sense of humor that I love and frankly, reminds me a bit of myself. I can only inspire to be even more like her. While she isn't perfect and infallible, she can admit to her mistakes and try to make things right when she realizes she was wrong. She's got a bit of a tough exterior, but inside she feels a bit broken. Her ex, Ryan, did some emotional and mental damage to her, especially when she learned he had been cheating on her with her best friend for about a year before she caught them together.

Matt is a smooth-talker, a guy who is generally used to getting what he wants. He keeps people at arms length, however, after growing up with an unloving, toxic family life. The exception to this is his five year old son, Zach. What he doesn't expect is the younger woman who he approaches at the airport to come into his life and knock everything off axis. She doesn't know who he is at first, but she's able to pin him all the same. She's intelligent, observant, knows right off the bat what kind of guy he is, yet nothing impresses her. She is truly herself around him and gives no cares what other people may think. She also says things that totally catches him off guard, which doesn't happen often, and he can't stop thinking about her when they go their separate ways. He's likes no woman he's ever met.

Multiple times throughout the book they get together intimately, but unfortunately for Sienna, he continuously tells her afterwards that he doesn't do relationships despite whatever is said during their moments together. Everything feels real at the time, they both feel the connection, he tells her that she's everything... then he pushes her away. She feels like a fool each time he pulls her in just to leave her in the cold after. When the time really matters and Matt says he truly wants to be with her, she doesn't believe him (rightfully so!). He has to prove with actions that despite his fears, he will indeed be there for her... and, it turns out, her unexpected pregnancy.

Honestly, I loved this book. It never lulled, it jumped forward in time in appropriate places, and the characters were very well written. The only thing I would have loved to see is what actually happened with Ryan in the end. Guests at his wedding predicted that he and his wife (Sienna's ex-best friend) wouldn't last very long, and I'm curious if they ever broke up. I'm also curious if Ryan lost everything else at the end. For my own enjoyment, I'll just assume yes and yes!

Eh. Didn't care for her overall

So their story starts out as fun and flirty and fun to read. But her character just went downhill fast for me. And it stayed there.

She was with Ryan for a couple years and he cheated on her with her best friend for a year of it. So he's already proving himself to be pond scum. And then the brother, Matt, comes in from the beginning and has done nothing but be honest with her up front for the most part, but never intentionally lied to her. Just had trouble committing because that wasn't his style and that wasn't what they were at the beginning. But she repeatedly believed Ryan over. Matt. And she didn't believe Matt when he did say things. Granted, some of that was definitely deserved because Matt showed that he runs. And he screwed her over twice.

However, the fact that she believed Ryan when Matt was away and didn't give him the opportunity to set things straight, shows her maturity level and that she does not deserve him. At that point they had been together all the time, and yes, sure she was pregnant, but to accuse him of cheating based on something her lying pawn scum x said, was not okay. And I don't blame him for walking out. I would have too. He didn't tell her about Zach's mom because it never came up and there really wasn't much to say. He wasn't hiding anything though. Yet she automatically assumed the worst of Matt when he showed her. Nothing but good things of himself. Yes, aside from him running a couple times because he was scared. But that kind of childish behavior annoys the crap out of me.

And then even at the end on their wedding night when they are on the yacht and she literally doesn't believe him. She asks how many other women he's had on that yacht and he tells her none. And not once, but two or three times, she tells him she doesn't believe him and she questions it more. This man has done nothing to lead her to believe that he's a lying jerk of any kind. Yet she kept believing the worst. And that's just not okay in a love story. I would have ditched her too. But, unlike him, I wouldn't have taken her back.

This is the story of Matt and Sienna… its an age gap romance. Matt is a billionaire who owns his own airline, and Sienna is a teacher dating Matts brother. Sienna catches her fiancé, Ryan, cheating with her beat friend just days before they are scheduled to depart on vacation.

Sienna, determined to have the last word and prove that her ex means nothing, decides she will take the vacation trip alone. On the flight over, she meets Matt but has no idea he is Ryan’s brother and that he owns the airline shes traveling on. They spend a flight together, join the mile high club and when they separate and she departs, she learns he’s actually her ex’s brother and vows to forget about him completely. But, thats easier said than done.

Matt cant forget her either and seeks her out offering her $100,000 to pretend to be his girlfriend and attend his brothers wedding. She agrees and they have an amazing time despite the event they attend together. But Matt ghosts her pulls her back in a second time and rejects her again…. And she vows she is done…. Until she discovers she is pregnant.

“I kissed him like I hated him. I kissed him like I missed him. I wasn’t sure when his hands had moved to my waist or how we’d moved from anger to something rougher, darker, hotter. But he kissed me like he’d been starving, like he’d been holding back every second he’d known me, and it was all snapping at once, and I met him right there in the goddamn wreckage.”

This was a great book. It was my first by this author and I was hesitant because I’m not a huge fan of age gap romance and use of the word “daddy.” Fortunately this author didn’t go down that road. It was well written and easily understandable and identifiable. The characters histories were fleshed out well. The plot was decent. Overall a good read.

Accidental Mile High Daddy by Mia Mara delivered the rocky romance of Sienna and Matt who met on an airplane. First class long distance flights must be fantastic! The two had a romantic encounter on their flight only to discover separately afterward that they had a family connection. Sienna was Matt's younger brother's ex. His brother as a lying, cheating, greedy jerk. Matt hatches a plan for them to get a little payback on his brother by taking Sienna to his brother's wedding to Sienna's former best friend. Matt has a complicated relationship with his younger brother. This results in another sexual encounter between Sienna and Matt. This author can sure write steamy scenes.

"But her kissed me like he'd been starving, like he'd been holding back every second he's known me, and it was all snapping at once, and I met him right there in the goddamn wreckage."

Both main characters have issues from their past impacting their ability to emotionally commit and twice Matt and Sienna commit only for him to walk away, leaving Sienna even more damaged. When she discovers she is pregnant, he commit to being a father. Matt has a five year old son and is a great dad; he is not afraid of raising children and is a billionaire so can afford it.

Both characters repeatedly implode their relationship but luckily Sienna has a new best friend that knocks some sense into her when Matt finally gets himself emotionally where he needs to be and she is not there yet.

This is a beautifully written story with well written characters that you are rooting for to get their happily every after. At times you want to smack each one of them but it is easy to understand why their insecurities hamper them. Take your time to step into their world. It is well worth it.

Purely Accidental

When Sienna discovered her boyfriend, Ryan, had been cheating behind her back with her best friend no less, she used her 1st class airline ticket for a holiday the 2 of them were going to take together. Going solo & enjoying her new life as a single, she meets Matt in the first-class lounge before she boards her flight. Both have an instant connection with bantering conversations. Once boarding, Matt is sitting beside her on the same flight. She has a great time with Matt & both were satisfied in having a one-night stand. She realizes the staff treat him with more respect & when they greet him with his surname, it clicks that Matt & her ex Ryan are brothers. They part ways but Matt cannot forget meeting her so being the owner of the airline, he checks her info & the puzzle pieces start to fit together.

Matt ‘accidentally’ just happens to be at the same bar that Sienna & her best friend are at. He has a proposition for her to decide on --- be his girlfriend & attend her ex’s (his brother’s) wedding & to show him that she’s not bothered that he’s marrying her ex-best friend. The best is yet to come! So much fun watching Matt & Sienna living it up, having the time of their lives before & during the wedding wknd. Now the wknd is behind them & the proposition is completed but they want to continue seeing each other. His young son, Zach, is adorable & the attachment to Sienna is instant. They have a few hurdles & secrets to iron out before they can reach their HEA. Once Sienna can really trust & have the faith that Matt will always be by her side, his heart belongs to her. An interesting story-line with all the vibes that keeps you turning the pages & have the good feelings once you finish this novel. It’s like a love story of the century. It’s really good!

Accidental Mile High Daddy

I was a little surprised by the number of 4 and 5 star reviews for this one. It wasn’t a bad read by any means, but I did have several issues with it.

I really liked the premise, and the book started off strong. My main problem was the ending. Matt hurts Sienna not once, but twice and both times she immediately lets him back in. The first time he hurts her, I was shocked she took him back so quickly just for him to do it immediately again? He did not grovel nearly enough. After that, Sienna becomes increasingly insecure and seems to expect Matt to behave a certain way, which, in my opinion, made her character more frustrating and annoying than sympathetic.

Another issue was how often the story jumped from trope to trope. Once Matt and Sienna returned from Ryan’s wedding, I genuinely thought the book was nearing the end but I was only about 40% in. From there, it just kept piling on new tropes, one after another.

Matt was fine as an MMC overall, but for a 48-year-old man, he felt emotionally immature and lacking self-awareness. On the other hand, I really enjoyed Zach. Kids in romance books can often be annoying, but he was genuinely sweet and added a lot to the story.

Despite my complaints, I still read this in one sitting because it was fast-paced and easy to get through. I just felt the first half was much stronger than the second. The dialogue and banter didn’t always land for me, but it was still a fun, quick read.

Overall: 3⭐️ / 2🌶️
Tropes:
-Age gap
-Ex-boyfriend’s brother
-Accidental pregnancy
-Dual POV
-Fake dating
-Single dad

new author for me i really enjoyed this story. Matt is broken inside from childhood trauma but has become a self made billionaire. He's in his late 40's raising a young child. he doesn't do family or relationships m other than his son. Sienna 28 has a broken heart from her ex cheating on her so takes the paid vacation they were to go on together alone and meets matt on the airplane. they have a sexual encounter then discovers leaving the airport that matt is her ex's older brother. After matt discovers who sienna is he makes her a deal to get back at her ex but while this happens they both start to develop real feelings for each ohter but matt can't handle it so runs. then sienna discovers she pregnant and matt must learn how to handle that surprise and his feelings for sienna but now sienna doesn't trust him at all because he ran. meanwhile her ex isn't done hurting her. well developed real life characters with real emotional baggage, real hope, fears, traumas, insecurities, desires and needs. an emotionally gripping story esp as matt has to face his fears. Sienna is feisty, strong, and forgiving but she makes me mad when she continues to trust an ex that has proven to be untrustworthy which seems pretty dumb to me. thank goodness her bff has some common sense. wonderful world building and lots of spice. read in one sitting too good to put down.

What a roller coaster of emotions for Sienna. What are the odds that she would get involved with 2 brothers unknowingly. The story between her and Matt was a roller coaster ride within itself. But the jaded cheating ex still feeding her lies to make her feel insecure and inferior was bazaar. I loved Sienna’s real best friend for being honest with her and giver tough but gentle love when she need it the most. Matt is the perfectly flawed silver fox whose past relationships with his parents and brother very afraid of what love and commitment really means. On this book he is 47 and Sienna is 28. He told her that was a little younger than he normally would be interested in. Their chemistry is off the charts . I loved the banter between them as well. If you love a good emotional roller coaster storyline this book is for you. Add a cute 5 year old boy in the mix and it is perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend reading this book.

This book was fantastic. Matt, the male character was emotionally starved and had no place for love in his life - except for his son. He had never been loved by his parents - ignored, shamed and left nothing. He had built his empire on his own - without help from his anyone. Sienna, the female character was a teacher who scraped by with just enough money to by an extra coffee at the end of the month. She had just be split from her fiancee who was involved with her best friend in a relationship and soon to be married. She was insecure, untrusting and still a little snarky and sassy. This two connect on the flight with some flirtatious and sexy banter. Two individuals who are emotional broken. What happens next is a mix of missteps, bad decisions, emotional trauma, revenge, lies, emotional trauma, and trust issues. But there is also caring, tenderness, laughter, hot and sexy moments, passion and love. Even when they can’t define it. It is so-o-o good, you will not be able to put it down! Amazing read!!.

I’ve read several books by Mia Mara and this is by far my favourite one so far. You can’t go wrong with the book starting off with getting to know a silver fox while joining the mile high club!

This book is awesome! Aside from Matt being a silver fox and an age gap between him and Sienna they hit several other tropes: revenge on a best friend/ex boyfriend/younger spoiled brother, surprise pregnancy, single dad, emotionally stunted rich guy, and a chic who is afraid to trust. The spice in this book was perfect (🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️) and their intimate moments were different every time and not your average wam bam thank you mam. I’d read this book again just for their spicy moments.

About the only thing I didn’t love was Sienna’s ex boyfriend and ex best friend and the drama the caused. Yes, it helped the storyline but I’m still fully on team Matt and Sienna!

Check this book out, it’s full of heat, several laugh out loud moments, and incredibly sweet ones too.

Not l what I expected... and I love it!

I did not expect to love this book as much as I did. Not only did it exceed my expectations, but it's probably my favorite read of August.

Let me tell you why.

Chemistry. The chemistry between Sienna and Matt is explosive. And it's not forced. These two characters are beautiful crafted, delightful, and full of real feelings. Their banter is Nick and Nora level (post-its for blackmail-perfect!). The lows aren't manufactured for drama, they are plot related, the steam is real, and the good times are the comfort of a love that clicks. It's a love that just is, and it's good.

It's the perfect read for the change of seasons coming up-take it if you go leaf peeping, Matt and Sienna would approve. Excellent character driven read, with a plot that's believable, well written, funny, and packing all the feels. On top the next in the series!

This is the first book I've read by this author and I have to say she did a fab job pulling me into the characters and keeping me glued to my reader. Sienna and Matt meet on a flight and they have a strong and hot chemistry - which they act on ;P Starting a story as a mile high encounter was super fun and hot. Although she's almost 20 years younger than Matt, she's feisty and calls him out on his BS, which made me giggle. As you may imagine, they had fun banter but this is story of healing and finding the best path forward for two people that have been burned with past relationships. This is also a story of many fun tropes and lots of drama, so expect to be fully engaged when you dive in. With a cute 5 year old in the mix, this roller coaster of a reading ride was a page turner that led to a fab HEA. I really enjoyed it and look forward to what's next by this author :D

The author delivers a sizzling romance in the latest installment in her Unintentionally Yours series. This book is a whirlwind of passion, scandal, and unexpected twists that fans of steamy contemporary romance will devour in one sitting.

The story kicks off with heartbreak: Sienna is dumped just before a planned holiday. But instead of wallowing, she boards the flight solo—and ends up seated next to a silver-haired stranger who’s equal parts charming and dirty-talking.

What follows is a deliciously chaotic blend of fake engagement, family drama, and a pregnancy. Mara’s writing is fast-paced and full of heat, but she also weaves in genuine emotional depth. The chemistry between the leads is electric, and the banter is sharp and playful.

Accidental Mile High Daddy is a steamy contemporary romance that finds its MFC Sienna about to board a plane for a first class vacation that was supposed to be with her now ex boyfriend, the one she caught cheating with her best friend!
Meeting MMC Matt a good looking silver fox before boarding and then becoming a member of the mile high club was all well and good before finding out he was her ex’s older brother.
Loved the story which was written well had plenty of twists and surprises, family dynamics, emotion, passion, drama, and marvelous characters who brought out all the feels as their entertaining story unfolded across the pages with another good read from the author.

Great story!

Matt owned an airline. He was rich. On a flight he saw a woman dressed in a yellow summer dress and she was owning it. She was beautiful and did not care if she looked out of place. He had the first place seat next to her. When he stood next to her and said “hi” she dropped her champagne glass, that shattered. They ended up making love three times that flight. He found out that she was on her honeymoon flight, minus the groom. She found him in bed with her best friend. As the flight ended and they were gathering luggage, he found out she was his brothers ex-fiancé. When she found out that is last name was the same as her ex, she knew he was Ryan’s older brother, Matt. This is a truly funny and love- filled story.

Accidental Mile High Daddy, by Mia Mara did not disappoint. It has romance, drama, and plenty of heat. Sienna runs at the first sight of difficulty, and has trouble trusting Matt's commitment to stay in relationship with her. After being pushed aside for his younger sibling, ignored, denied love, and affection by his cold parents, Matt keeps everyone, but his son at a distance. He wants to have love and a real family of his own but is afraid to let down his walls. These two have to find a way to overcome deliberate obstacles placed in their paths, their past hurts, and learn to trust each other.

Imagine meeting the sexiest man at the airport, having a drink and great banter, and you leave him to board your plane. Only to realize that he is your seat mate in first class!!! I was not ready for the wild ride this book took me on! Matt is a single dad with issues, and Sienna is newly single with issues. Their journey to love will definitely have you shaking your head at their lack of communication and counseling. BUT, we make it there through promises to pay for a faked relationship and a pregnancy! LMBO, we came for Matt(pun intended) and stayed for Sienna's character growth! Enjoy the book!.

i was hooked from the very beginning! at first, i really liked Matt. Then i wanted to punch him in the face and give Sienna a hug. Then he groveled and i liked him again 🤷🏻‍♀️

Matt doesn’t know how to be in a relationship and runs at the first glimmer of feelings and in doing so, he’s giving Sienna mixed signals to the max. Sienna has trust issues after her ex (Matt’s brother) cheated on her with her best friend for the last year of their relationship. They both have issues and those issues hurt the other. they really had to fight for their happily ever after

-ex’s older brother
-billionaire romance
-age gap, 47 & 28
-single dad
-fake dating
-accidental pregnancy

When Sienna first met Matt on the plane she didn't know who he was. Didn't ever plan on seeing him again either, but as fate would have it, it turns out that Matt is indeed Matthew, her ex's older brother. They both come to an arrangement in order to, at first get revenge on him, but ultimately found something that neither of them were prepared for. This book had great characters, and the story line was enjoyable as well.

Sienna dumps her boyfriend after finding him in their bed with her best friend. She decides to take their planned trip on her own and meets a silver haired hottie in the airline lounge, and he ends up having the seat next to her in first class.
Matt is knocked off his feet by the beauty in the yellow sundress and makes sure he has the seat next to her for their flight.
After finding out who she is he makes her a proposition she can't turn down.
Loved the development of their relationship and could not put the book down.

I started this book thinking it would be your typical insta-love, silly drama, short fun read. Boy, was I wrong. This was really good. There were some things Matt did that I didn't quite understand (mostly relating to his brother and parents), but he really just won the Martyr of the Year award. Good grief. I was so happy to find Sienna had a backbone and didn't let him get away with his insecurities and constant pushing her away (although she had plenty of her own to work through). Really good read, highly recommend.

What a journey..
Sienna kinda pissed me off. I get that you had trouble with trust, but believing your shitty ex over the man showing you he cares about you? talk about a fumble! Im also a little sad we never truly know why Matt is so caged off. Like yes, we get the quick explanation that his parents were shitty, but there has got to be more to it than that. This story took me for a roller coaster, I couldn't tell which way was up with Sienna and Matt. Im just glad it all worked out in the end.
