Those lies we tell
Dr. Holly Edwards loves her life. She has a job she loves and a loving family that means the world to her.
However, when it comes to matters of the heart, Holly never lets anyone get too close to her. Not even the gorgeous Jake Lewis, who just can’t seem to get passed her wall.
When she has to return home because of a family emergency, she has no choice but to face her past. That includes coming face to face with Alex Collins, the only man she has ever really loved and the reason she keeps her heart so protected.

I have been writing all my life, it’s my greatest passion.
My first book, Those Lies We Tell, will be released on the 24th of November.
I signed with Titan Publishing House earlier this month and it has been an amazing journey so far. I don’t feel like am with a publisher, I feel part of a family.
I am currently working on book two,
I am book addict. I have more books on my kindle than I have clothes in my wardrobe. If I truly love a book, I will buy it on paperback, to add to my ever growing collection, much to my husband’s horror.
My favourite authors are, Cecelia Ahern, Sheila O’Flanagan, Sadie Matthews, Beverley Hollowed and Sophie Kinsella.

I give this book 5+ Stars!!!
I just absolutely loved this book; the characters, the plot, the good, the bad, and the ugly, and of course my fav, was the ending :)))))
Dr. Holly Edwards had everything going for her, she loved her career choice, her family, and the wonderful Alex. Then after finding out some shocking news, and Alex responding like an adolescent, sends her flying to another state. She is focused on her job, and not letting anyone break the walls she put up around herself; that is until a hot co-worker Jake Lewis,is not one to give up to easily.
Alex is everything Holly ever wanted and thought she needed, until life took an unsuspected turn, and she had to go home, and came face to face with him once again.
Although Jake Lewis decided to be her support, and friend, in her times of heartache, it also helped Holly open her eyes for what is real and right in front of her.
There were so many times that I thought the story was going one way, then I got whip-lashed, in an instant, and was like "well damn, didn't see that coming."
I also thought I loved Alex, in fact I know I did, up until the end! Then I was like "WHAT AN ASS"
One thing that upset me in this book was that Holly, being the great girl she was, NEVER confronted Alex about what was revealed to her, involving her pass.
Jake Lewis was an all around great, patient, hot, loveable guy. Which you would have to be pretty dang stupid to not see it. Sometimes, things just take time. And with Jake being the patient guy that he was, it sure paid off for him.
Before I go, I want to make sure I let you know that Holly also has a very awesome dad, and brother. Mom, ended up being ok as well. SOme times things happen in our life that we cannot control, and we have to end up paying the consequences for them, and that's what happen with the mom.
This book was realistic, with everyday life situations, that was normal and believable; which is another reason it had me reeled in from the beginning.
I enjoyed this book so much that I could not put it down, it was in face every chance I got, grocery store lines, long red lights, putting godchild (3 months old)to sleep, while ironing, ok you get the picture. LoL
Thank you Lucy James for your trust in me with the ARC, and I will continue to follow you, for more books in the near future, I hope.

I absolutely fell in love with this book from the start. The characters are amazing and I really loved Holly and how she was portrayed.
Dr Holly Edwards moves to New York to forget her past and to hide away from the one man she is trying to forget. Alex.
Meet Jake, the man who is trying to win Holly's heart. Jake is gorgeous, funny, sexy and absolutely smitten with Holly He will stop at nothing to make her happy. When a family emergency causes Holly to rush back to Ireland, it looks like her past may make an unwelcome appearance.
I loved the whole story line and loved how Lucy James kept me guessing until the very end. Lucy you nailed it big time with this book. A very well written and deserving 5 stars.
