A new path… After Ena’s bold decision to join Ty in the Underworld, she must navigate her status as the only witch in a society of daemons. Charged with posing as his witch-slave for her own safety, she learns to embrace her dark side, all while grappling with the guilt of her decision to leave her sister and Coven behind.
A growing love… After waiting for nine years, Ty finally has what he’s always wanted—Ena. As their trust and bond grows, Ty must grapple with his many conflicting responsibilities to his people, to Ena, and to himself. Can he have everything he wants or is hope for the future only a delusion?
An unknown future… As Ena and Ty work together with daemon and witch allies alike, they must find a way to break the bond to Iblis, setting right that which the witches broke centuries ago. But as they uncover more about the amulet, the ritual, and the very Gods they worship, they find that everything is not as simple as it once seemed. Together, can they forge a new future, for their peoples and themselves, or will their differences forever keep them apart?
3.75 - 4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ so rounding up! First of all, thank you to the author providing an ARC! This was a solid follow-up to book 1, & while I didn’t like it QUITE as much it still had me engrossed, staying up late reading, & rooting for everyone. Let’s get into it
PLOT This picks up immediately after book 2 where the team must now go on a mission to the Underworld. This book has - witches, demons, & seers - societal power dynamics - found family - a somewhat unpopular trope (see spoilers if you must know) - higher spice with some Dom/sub play
PROS - I thoroughly enjoyed the roleplay Ena & Ty had to do when they got to the Underworld to play a political game. I found it entertaining. - Solid found family, big fan of them! Turner is my guy. - The last chapter was some great insight into family drama I very much liked. - Hot spice. Ty & Ena have chemistry like whoa. - I thoroughly enjoyed Ty’s POVs myself so this is a pro for me personally, but if you’re someone who tires of hearing the MMC lust after the FMC, you may get a little annoyed. I love it though. Tell me how hot you think your woman is. - I still very much like our leads. They did a couple things I wish they hadn’t overall but I still just *like* them. They’re reasonable overall, which seems a rare trait sometimes. - Very interested in Underworld politics. - Also excited to learn more about Omnis. - I tore through this. Much like book 1 it just had something in it that kept me turning pages. Idk if it’s the leads’ chemistry, the fun witch v. daemon dynamic, or what but I read this in less than 2 days & was up until the wee hours reading.
MIDS - The first half of this book was essentially without conflict, so it felt slower in comparison to book 1. Now this doesn’t necessarily bother me but I do remember thinking to myself “okay so what’s gonna happen & when are we getting around to it”.
CONS - The phrase “that makes sense” was said enough in conversations between our cast that I noticed. Basically any time anyone would figure something out, someone would respond with “that makes sense” & follow up with more info or a question. It felt repetitive how often it was used & just wasn’t necessary IMO. - I don’t love a trope used at the end because I also wasn’t sure how it actually happened considering the thing that occurred & caused the major conflict in this book. The 2 seem diametrically opposed, so I wonder if it’s potentially not what we think it is? But for now it doesn’t seem like it should be possible.
Such an amazing continuation to this series!! We pick up right after the events of The Knowing Witch and I really love that this book is dual POV! Ty's chapters were absolutely some of my favorite chapters in this book!
After being reunited and slowly owning back up to their feelings, I loved in The Unknown Daemon you get to see Ena and Ty exploring their relationship both emotionally and physically.
This book is definitely darker than The Knowing Witch. Just the dynamic in Ty's home life is more painful and disturbing the more you read. You really feel the suffering that these characters ensure and you just want to root for them to survive. Steig and Turner also make more appearances in this book, which I absolutely love because Steig is definitely one of my favorite characters in this series. He's moody and broody but you can't help but love him. I really love Turner too because you get to see a little of his background story (not too much, but glimpses) and you really feel for him. I definitely can't wait for more of these two as the story goes on.
The plot is really intriguing. I found it hard to really know who was in the wrong. Like once you get down to the underworld, you know who the evil person is...but I think you also get to see the daemons who might not be so evil. Definitely not black and white.
Besides the growing plot...there were other things growing. The spice??!! The spice was spicing! It was hot, it was delicious, and I definitely could not get enough of it!
Overall, The Unknown Daemon did not disappoint! Well thought out character development, the perfect amount of pain and suffering for the plot, and I loved how loyalties and trust were tested throughout this story, because it made the yearning between Ena and Ty that much more! So many emotional scenes and so many new questions to be answered! I really love that Ena is coming to the realization that nothing is as it seems.
Definitely excited for the next book, I cannot wait to see what happens because I know it's going to be good.
ARC Review - “Darker, hotter, and completely unputdownable.”
Okay, wow. The Unknown Daemon picks up fast and honestly? It grabbed me immediately. I was over the moon to be chosen for this ARC because I LOVED The Knowing Witch, and this sequel did not let me breathe (or sleep) I couldn’t put it down.
A few of my highlights *light spoilers ahead*
The dual POV was such a win for me. Ty’s chapters? Perfection. The man is chaos, loyalty, and longing wrapped in one painfully beautiful daemon, and I loved every second of being in his head.
Ena and Ty together? Finally. These two get the space to actually explore their pull toward one another. It never felt rushed, just the perfect, tension-filled build into, “pinch me… we’re actually together.” Their emotional growth and physical tension was everything.
I loved the darker tone of book two. Being in the Underworld adds a whole new layer of understanding to Ty’s struggles the brutality of daemon hierarchy, the pressure of what’s expected of him, the weight he carries. The politics in the underworld are murky and fascinating, you feel how much these characters have endured at the hands of Cole.
Watching Ena slowly realise how little she really knows about daemons, the gods and the balance she’s been taught her whole life was one of my favourite parts. Learning that the Underworld isn’t just “evil.” Some daemons are awful, some aren’t, and many fall somewhere in between keeps you guessing in the best way.
Ena’s role pretending to be Ty’s Witch Slave did have me bracing for tropes I normally avoid. But Parks sidesteps them all. Ena isn’t humiliated by Ty. She isn’t diminished. She’s undercover, furious, clever, and constantly calculating her next move. And the dynamic between her and Ty as they play their roles in public while unravelling each other in private? Phenomenal tension.
For me the side characters shine in this book. Steig continues to be an absolute grumpy treasure impossible not to adore especially once you see him with his kids. Turner cracks open just enough that you want more of his backstory. And Lara? My new fave. Every scene she’s in adds depth and momentum. I need more of her and Ena’s friendship in book three.
And the ending! Bless M.M. Parks for not leading us to a cruel cliffhanger. It hits that perfect sweet spot: a satisfying wrap-up to book two while clearly pointing us toward what’s next. No whiplash just a smooth, confident handoff into the next instalment.
I had such a good time reading this book, and I truly can’t wait to see where the story goes next… Demon and Witch magic sharing???
I inhaled the first book and was so excited to receive the ARC for the second.
It picks up exactly where we were left off in the Knowing Witch and we jumped right back in. I appreciate that Ena is actually clever and uses her brain regularly. She can actually make a sound choice without letting her emotions or prejudice dictate everything. I long to be as emotionally stable and rational as she is. Obviously Ty is amazing too but Ena stole my attention and honestly, no one would have survived if not for her.
I wasn't a fan of the third act break up though. It wasn't a normal response for Ena to take a cowardly way out when things got tough... which she does admit to that later on. And I know calling it "cowardly" isn't 100% fair but I'm not as evolved as Ena so here we are. Plus I've never had the shit beat out of me so what do I know? I appreciate that they both got over themselves and their self declared pity parties.
I'm also not sure how I feel about the pregnancy. Obviously they were going at it like crazy so I'm not too shocked. It was a miracle that she got her ass kicked and broke some ribs and the baby survived unharmed... but again, never had my ass kicked WHILE pregnant so who knows... I'll have to try it some time.
Guess I'll have to just read the next one to figure out how I feel. Hoping Turner gets a happy story for himself, would be nice for him to not be the third wheel/fifth wheel in the next one. And I LOVED Mel. They were a great addition. Not sure if we'll get more of them in the next book but fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Thank you so much for the ARC! I absolutely love the Omnis series—TKW was incredible, and I could not put it down and this one did not disappoint. This installment picks up right where the TKW ended, and it was so fun seeing Ena in the underworld and getting that dual POV from her and Ty. I loved watching their relationship grow (and 🌶️🌶️🌶️) as well as the development of the side characters. The magic system continues to be amazing and totally unique. I really enjoyed how the story wrapped up with a sense of resolution while still leaving the door wide open for Book 3. I cannot wait to see where their journey goes next.
Small SPOILER below
My only small critique is Ena’s brief “I need to end this” moment. After the entire beginning where she was so gung-ho and determined to follow Ty wherever their relationship led, the sudden shift felt out of character. The quick breakup and just-as-quick reconciliation also didn’t quite match how committed both of them had been to sticking together no matter what, and the pacing around that section felt a bit rushed compared to the rest of the story.
Overall, I truly loved this book and can’t wait to dive into Book 3!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A great continuation of Ena and Ty’s Journey The Unknown Demon, Omnis book 2, by MM Parks is everything I hoped for and more. As a continuation of Ena and Ty’s story, it absolutely shines—deepening their relationship, raising the stakes, and pulling me even further into their world. Parks has a gift for balancing character growth with steady ascension in plot twists, and this book proves it on every page.
Ena and Ty’s dynamic is stronger, sharper, and more emotional than ever. I’m completely hooked, and I honestly cannot wait for Book 3 to see where their relationship goes next and how the unfolding new plot plays out. The tension, the chemistry, the danger—it's all expertly woven together.
If you haven’t read The Knowing Witch ( Book 1) yet, do yourself a favor and pick it up immediately so you can dive straight into this incredible continuation of their journey. The Unknown Demon is an absolute must-read for fans of magical intrigue, romance, and immersive storytelling. I’m already counting the days until the next installment!
Dark and twisty. More secrets. More truths. So many mysteries being uncovered.
Ena and Ty are in the Underworld, trying to figure out how to fix their world. While also learning how to be together, trust, love, and just be.
Ty is super busy and important, and that sometimes gets in the way, and Ena has to pretend to be something she isn’t.
The emotional trials they go thru, the realizations they have, and the action and adventure packed into all the spaces in between made this a page turner!!
We get a few extra characters. Lara is my fave addition. A few of them I’m super hoping we get to see their end in the next book. And Ty has a hellbound?! Like come on. Adorable.
This was a great second installment. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
Date : 9th December 2025 Book : The Unknown Daemon (Omnis 2) Author : M.M. Parks Genre : Romantasy
This is the 2nd book of the Omnis series, I must say I loved the first book more but this second book definitely had more world building aspects in regards to the daemon world. Most definitely a slow burn but I think from Chapter 20 it took off 😏 (my fav chapter).
I always feel like my reviews in any book series are going to be shorter only because I don’t want to accidentally spoil it by naming any of the character(s) just incase it spoils it for those who have not read it yet.
But what I’ll say is that if you love the enemies to lovers trope and love witches and daemons, then this is your book. I 1000% loved the first book and enjoyed the last 40% of this book and I definitely can’t wait to see how book 3 takes off!
Book two of the Omnis series finds Ena and Ty in the Underworld with Ena posing as Ty's Witch Slave to fool the daemons around them. While this book is definitely much darker, and sadder, than the first book, it does avoid any of the worst tropes I feared when Ena was named a slave and placed in a collar with the worst of the Daemon king's men leering at her lustfully. And while the series isn't exactly wrapped up by the end of the book, it also isn't the painful cliffhanger I was dreading when I saw I there was only 70 pages left! Instead the author leaves it with a nice clean segue into the next book so we know where we stand and where we are heading next. Whew.
Character growth ✓ Relationship growth ✓✓ Plot development ✓✓ World lore ✓✓✓
I was so lucky to receive an eARC of this book and finished it in less than 12 hours…it was that good! There was wonderful development in the relationship between the main characters that felt real and mature. Seeing these two finally get to express their feelings and actually spend time together was so satisfying. We also meet and learn more about important side characters. Overall, there was good balance and pacing between plot and romance. Can’t wait to see where book 3 goes…and the spice was spicing! 🌶️🌶️🌶️
After reading the first book, The Knowing Witch, I couldn’t wait to read the continuation and as soon as I got this ARC for the second book, The Unknown Daemon, I had to read it asap!
I can tell you, it did not disappoint! I just adore Ena’s and Ty’s story sooooo much! This was another 5 star read (I would give more of possible!).
We get to know more about the magic and the secrets from long ago, through and amazing plot development, while also being easy to read bringing new facts and characters. I loved the characters’ development we got and the new additions as well.
We continue to get great romance, with a few more hardships and yearning as well as a ramp up on the spice levels as Ena poses as Ty’s “witch-slave” and does not disappoint...
As with the first book, you can feel the dedication, the detailed attention and the immense love that M. M. Parks poured into her art!
And of course, I cannot wait for book three!...
Go pick these books up immediately!
I feel very lucky to have been chosen to receive an advance review copy for free, I’m very thankful to the author M. M. Parks, and I am happily leaving this review voluntarily.
I received an eARC from Book Sirens and this is my honest review.
✌🏻Mostly dual POV - 🤣giggling out loud moments - 🧙witches & daemons 😈 - 🤩 warm MMC, but only for her & found family - strong found family ❤️ - 🌶️ spicey in the first 50% -⛓️she likes to call him "master" - he likes to call her "viper" & "dark goddess" 🖤
Overall, this was a strong 4 star read.
The pacing of this book was slower for the first 60%, as it focused on relationship building between the MCs as well as the MFC and the MMC's friends/family. The plot does move forward in the first 60%, but not much, again because it is highly relationship focused. I did not mind this and thought it was needed to really show the WHY behind the MFC supporting both the witches and daemons. The last 40% of the book picks up pace and I could not put it down. The author did a great job provoking emotions in the reader, particularly I was rooting so hard for the MCs to convince those needed to help break the spell.
The chapter from Cole's POV (the MMC's uncle) added so much more to the story, I am grateful the author added this near the end. We got so much more information on why Cole is evil, especially in relation to the MMC's father and mother. This detail gave the story more depth and set up the next book well, since the MMC's mother will obviously be in the next book. Also, the first chapter starting from Mel's POV was interesting, but then it came full context later in the story. This was creative and gave the story a little twist.
I really enjoyed the storyline and little undertones important in real life, such as a) the diverse crew working together, as diverse teams are stronger than teams that lack diversity, b) basic rights for all, c) leadership making choices to hide knowledge and the harmful impact of that, d) the importance of choice, e) women not having to be embarrassed about their sexuality, and f) standing up for what is right.
Something that stood out to me that I absolutely loved was how, when the MMC was silent during the conversation with his friends/family about them not trusting the MFC fully, the MFC didn't get angry and whiny, and develop helpless thinking like "why isn't he standing up for me?" and blah blah blah (like the MFC in the current popular wolf book, which I loathed...). Instead, she believed in HIM and why he was silent, betting on the fact that he probably already tried to convince them and his current silence was 1) strategic and 2) giving her an opportunity to stand up for and defend herself, him not always speaking on her behalf and giving her space for her voice 💪🏻. YESSSSSS This MFC was already full of "what ifs" in their relationship, rightfully so; therefore, to see her trust him and his silence was beautiful 😘
This leads into what a strong couple the MCs are. They really balanced each other, as well as challenged each other to grow. The MMC was so thoughtful about what the MFC would want/need, communicating with her, and being thoughtful about how his past could haunt her. He always checked in and was considerate of her feelings. The MFC was also incredibly kind and thoughtful, always considering how her actions would impact others. They were both understanding, patient, and had shared values.
Also, of note: Overall, the word abandoned was used correctly and maturely, for a bit 🙌 (see my review on The Knowing Witch for context). Specifically, the MMC references his mother abandoning him. Again, this is an appropriate use, because the mother (one with more power and resources) left the child (the more vulnerable person). However, there was one thought by the MMC about how he had "abandoned" the MFC back in the day. Again, NO HE DIDNT.
The supportive characters in this book are strong and awesome. Turner is such a sweet side character. I hope he finds his HEA. Both MCs had family that were hesitant, yet genuine and cared. They had to challenge themselves to support the MCs, really showing up. They were excellent additions to the story.
The ending was sweet and beautiful, as well as set up the next book to hit the ground running. I would not say it was a cliffhanger. However, the details were clear on what the future book would include, which I am excited about(such as who the MMC‘s mom is, what happens with Cole)! The author does such an excellent job ending one book to then pick up strong in the next book.
Why not five stars? One trope I despise is a break up that is dramatic, not based in strong rationale, and adds NOTHING to the overall story. Well, unfortunately, that happens this book. I could tell the author was really trying to sell the rationale, as evidenced by how much internal dialogue was dedicated to why she had to break up with him and stay broken up. Let's be clear, I was NOT buying the rationale. The MFC is significantly harmed and she feared death, totally get why she wanted to get the hell out of the Underworld (pun intended). She uses this to justify why she and the MMC could never be together.
- The MFC makes the decision to end their relationship without having an open dialogue with the MMC about this. 1) this was super hypocritical because the MMC previously made the same decision on their behalf and the MFC was mad and felt "betrayed." Here, she made the decision and just told him, no open conversation. 2) THEN the MFC is all passive aggressive, secretly wishing he would fight for them. NO THANK YOU! Don't break up with someone and then secretly wish they would fight for you and change your mind, toxic AF. Tell him how you feel and say what you need to say, quit with the teenager games. I was particularly irked by this since she was more thoughtful and mature throughout this whole book.
- I was not sold on the break-up because they could have been together and I was unsure of why they were both so convinced that they could not be. They love each other, why can't they be together while they still navigate the world? They can separate for some time while he goes to the Underworld and she navigates the Covens, all while being together. Having a long-distance relationship and not seeing each other for some time sucks, but for how much they said "you are mine" and the author dedicated time to convincing the readers the MCs would never love anyone else, why couldn't they just stay in a relationship while physically separating for some time? Again, because no one could talk about their relationship, this was never an option discussed.
Or, why couldn’t they stay together and spend the little time they had left together, and then end it when the spell was broke and they had to separate to do their own things? Why did they have to break up, travel all awkwardly, and then only realize they could be together? Although they had not said “I love you,” they knew they had strong feelings. Why not spend those last days together making memories, especially if it was going to end? The rationale of making it easier by breaking up now doesn’t make any sense since they were traveling for over a week together and pretending they didn’t love each other was much worse. The approach taken in this book felt silly, teenager like, and lacked the maturity I know these characters had/have.
The two approaches I mentioned could have created so much more tension, emotion, and intrigue than the approach taken. This is especially true because nothing came out of the break up, there was no point to it other to add some teenager drama of “I can’t make eye contact” and “I love him but we will never be.” 🙄
- Thirdly, because she made this decision and he just went along with it, 30% of the book is about the MCs pouting about the breakup. This is why I do not like the break up trope, it can stall the plot and the constant internal dialogue about why they have to stay broken up is overdone and boring. I will say though, at least the author moved the plot along during this pouting phase.
And lastly, this was not a five star read because of the pregnancy ick. Now, I don't mind the pregnancy trope, women get pregnant all the time, makes sense it is included in books. I actually love it at times, it can add a lot to the story. Yet, what gave me the ick is that the MFC was going to let the MMC return to the Underworld without ever knowing he was going to be a father. DISGUSTING! I get that women hide their pregnancy from a male because the male is abusive or harmful, but that is NOT the case here. Further, isn't the WHOLE series about how people in power held information from others and the negative impact of that on the people. People were never given a choice. The MFC was literally fighting for the rights of knowledge; yet, here she was ready to hide incredibly important information from the MMC and not allow him to make an informed choice. She decided for him on what was best 🤮 The sentence that I drew this conclusion from was, "Just hours ago, she was prepared to say goodbye to him forever, and deal with their child alone."
I lost some respect for the MFC because of this second book. She was such a powerful MFC, really challenging herself to grow and do better for the world. But to even consider hiding a pregnancy from a deserving partner, in addition to the passive-aggressive approach to the break up, was yuck to me. I still love this MFC and look forward to reading more about her in the last book.

She’s a spicyyyyy one 🙂↕️ The Knowing Witch hinted at it but The Unknown Daemon confirmed it, they are some freaky freaks y’all. All that tension and then make it forbidden 👀 and she has to be his witch slave 👀
Spice and romance aside the world is expanding and I loved learning about all the different levels of the underworld and hierarchy of daemons. The underworld kinda reminded me of the underground city in The Veiled Kingdom by Holly Renee similar spicy vibe to that too!
We also get a better understanding of the origin witchy and daemon powers. I really like that there is a reason behind the magic both in its abilities and the specific words used when casting spells.
Because of REDACTED there is this whole concept of future sight which is so fun to theorize about through the entire book and fits in so well with the witchy vibes.
Plus with that ending there is so much more room for world expansion and lore in book 3 I can’t wait to see where she takes us!
Trope List: 💙 Witches & Daemons 🖤 Forbidden Love 💙 Witch Slave 🖤 Greek Mythology Inspired 💙 Touch Her & Die 🖤 Good Girl Gone Bad
The Unknown Daemon picks up immediately after book one and said, “No rest for the emotionally attached,” as Ena and Ty head straight into the Underworld. This second installment deepens both the worldbuilding and the emotional stakes as we follow Ena, the brave witch, and Ty, her golden retriever-daemon love, into the treacherous depths of the Underworld.
What I didn’t expect — but absolutely adored — was how much I fell for Ty. A “golden retriever daemon” might sound quirky on the surface, but Parks makes his devotion to Ena profoundly touching and one of the heartbeats of the story. His loyalty, humor, and fierce love brought genuine warmth to the darker fantasy elements of the plot.
I also loved the dynamic and unforgettable side characters.
Steig is an absolute standout — his unwavering love for his wife and kids paired with his bad-ass demeanor made every scene he was in richer and more compelling.
Turner, Greya, and Cris add layers of camaraderie, tension, and humor that keep the story engaging between the larger narrative arcs.
And Mel — quirky, bold, and utterly herself — was one of my favorite companions on this journey. Her personality always sparked a smile.
Plot-wise, Parks balances dark romantasy, forbidden love, and mythic worldbuilding in a way that feels both epic and deeply personal. The mission to break ancient bonds and challenge long-held celestial hierarchies gave The Unknown Daemon plenty of tension and intrigue, while the relationship between Ena and Ty grounded the story emotionally.
If you loved the first book in the Omnis series, this one doesn’t just continue the tale — it expands it beautifully. It’s spicy where it needs to be, perilous when the plot demands, and tender in every beat of Ena and Ty’s developing bond. A must-read for fans of character-driven dark fantasy romance!
Favorite Aspects: ✨ Ty’s devotion to Ena — sweet and heartfelt ✨ Rich supporting cast that feels real and complex ✨ A dangerous, atmospheric descent into the Underworld ✨ High stakes, romance, and emotional payoff
Tropes You’ll Find: 🖤 Golden Retriever MMC 🔥 Devoted / “Only Her” MMC 🌑 Journey into the Underworld 🧙♀️ Witch x Daemon Romance ⚔️ Found Family 🖤 Dark Fantasy Romance 🔗 Bound Souls / Magical Bonds 🛡️ Protective MMC 🔥 High Stakes, High Emotion
I’ll give this book a 3.75 ⭐️ There were some parts I really liked, but other parts in the story I struggled to enjoy so let’s dive in. Likes: I love the addition of Ty’s POV. I felt like this brought a lot more to the overall storyline. I think it really filled in a missing piece to the first book. I also enjoy the magic system and politics between the witches and deamons. I think it brings to the forefront how as a society we just follow along with what we have always been told without exploring why we do. I love that the main characters end up having to question this and want to build a better, kinder next generation. We are going to need a few Turner POV chapters because his character is one of my favorites! He so friendly, funny, loyal, and sly. He is such a good character in the story. Dislikes- I struggle with how naive they make Ena in the book. I think she lacks the personality to be a strong female character with the role they are wanting her to play in the book. It further bothers me into her relationship with Ty as he is very powerful and “experienced”. I thought it was weird that she didn’t understand the word Heir. It just didn’t fit or make sense. I know they were wanting to try to explain how witch and deamon culture are different, but this was a weird way to do so. I thought the book was pretty slow moving and kind of boring until the end. She springs a lot of fun, exciting info at the end which I wish we could have gotten more within and throughout the book.
Overall the book has potential. I think it’s going to be really interesting to see where she takes the characters with the introduction of the unknown, mysterious Omnis clan and Ty’s mother. I know some people may hate the pregnancy trope in this, but I’m actually excited to see how she uses it further in book three. Book three could easily be the best one yet in this series! Thank you Book Sirens and the author for letting me be part of the street team and an ARC reader for this book!

This was a solid 3.5 for me. I was really excited to dive back in and see how Ena and Ty were going to make things work after book one. We pick up right where we left off, with Ena leaving the safety of her coven and heading into the Underworld with Ty. I enjoyed watching their dynamic grow and finally getting more of them actually together on page.
We spend a lot of time in the daemon world this time, learning how things function and what the power structures look like. I liked how Parks wove their Gifts and abilities into the politics and status of the Underworld. The first 60% definitely feels slower, very focused on relationship building and getting to know the daemons and their world. We get to go deeper with some of our side characters which was a nice addition to the whole story.
After that halfway mark, things finally kick off and the bigger pieces start coming together. I’m not going to lie, I fully thought this was the last book in the series, so I was a little thrown when new revelations started dropping near the end. For me, it almost felt like this could have been a 2 book arc, but with how complex everything is getting, I can see why it might need more page space so the finale doesn’t feel so rushed. Still, I clearly misjudged how long this series might be 😅
Nonetheless, it is a fun, easy read if you are in the mood for lighter world building
Huge thanks to M. M. Parks for the eARC copy and the chance to return to Ena and Ty early
We jump right into Parks’ world for book two right where we left off. Ena continues her journey with the daemons and now we get to explore a territory that had only ever been whispered about among the witches: the underworld.
It is in this underworld that we learn more about Ty’s life and what he has been experiencing the last nine years. And it has definitely not been rainbows and sunshine…
We also continue to navigate Ty and Ena’s relationship. It grows and blossoms and begins to take root despite the unsafe and precarious foothold it balances on. I love seeing how deeply Ty loves Ena and getting his POV this book was so wonderful and appreciated. We do get two tropes that may not be the favorite for some, (a third act breakup and a pregnancy trope) but I was thankful with how Parks brought it all back together and am intrigued to see what transpires with this perceived pregnancy. It has all definitely lead us to a point of suspense and I can feel the stress even now as I think about all that has been “seen” and said. Also, the ending was precious. 🙏
Tropes you may find in TUD are forced proximity, down bad daemon daddy who is a secret cinnamon roll, soft FMC, witches x daemons, unique magic, found family, plot twists, character focus, dual POV, medium stakes, she’s his witch-slave, medium-high spice, and touch her and ☠️.
It is always an honor to arc read and I am thankful to Parks for this opportunity.
This is my first ever ARC. I was so honored to be able to read this! And man, it did not disappoint! The ending had me gasping. I absolutely loved the first book and was so excited to read the second! And now I can't wait for the third!
Spoilers!!
Things I loved: -I loved getting to see into the Underworld and expanding the worldview. Ty is so essential to his world. - I loved getting to know Steig and Turner more (especially Steig as a husband and father). -I loved Ena and Ty's relationship growth and I'm excited for their future. - I'm intrigued by Omnis and what that could entail. - Excited to have questions about Ty's mom finally answered
Things I didn't love as much: - The "p" word. Not a fan of reading it during love scenes. It made me cringe. -Ena's quick change of heart. It felt fast and there was not much build up to her decision. Maybe if we had more internal dialog it would have helped, but it felt jarring and a bit out of character after all they had gone through. Plus, if she thinks she's expecting, that's a very drastic decision. Interested to see how that plays out!

This book was such a great follow up to The Knowing Witch.
It was a really fresh take on romantasy. The writing really drew me in from the first few chapters and I breezed through this one, not wanting to put it down to see what happens next. Its not action packed, edge of your seat and focuses more on the relationships and romance, but I was totally here for it.
I loved the darker vibes of the Underworld in this one and seeing Ena come into her own, away from the Coven. Shes truly one of my favourite FMC's I've read.
I loved the dynamics between Ena and Ty and seeing their relationship develop. I've always gravitated towards MMC's who are broody, with dark hair and shadows, but Ty is giving total cinnamon roll, with a dark side and tattoos. Say no more. The spice was also pretty epic in this one 🔥🔥🔥
I loved getting introduced to the other characters and learning more about them and their dynamic.
I'm fully invested in this series now and cannot wait for the next book.

This book grabbed me by the throat in the best way. The world-building is rich, layered and absolutely addictive — the kind of fantasy realm you don’t just read, you fall into headfirst. The tension between characters hits all my favorite notes: complicated bonds, power, loyalty, destiny, and that delicious emotional pull that keeps you turning pages like you’re starving.
The story balances heart, danger, and magic beautifully, and the pacing? Smooth as sin. Every chapter had me leaning closer, wanting “just one more,” until suddenly it was 2AM and I was in too deep to stop. Ena and Ty… whew. They’re messy, intense, and real in a way that made me feel every damn moment with them.
If you love sweeping fantasy with emotional weight, high stakes, found family, tangled loyalties, and characters who feel like they’re breathing right next to you, you need to pick this up. No spoilers — just trust me: it’s worth diving into the unknown.
Have you ever read a book and had a constant stream of comments and exclamations running through your head? That's this sequel. I was lucky enough to beta read and leave all those comments for MM, because whoa. This book is going to take you for a ride in the best way. Ena and Ty are fully in the daemon world now, and trying to keep Ena safe, their true relationship hidden, and find out what is truly on that amulet, is gripping. These two are fully in it together now too, and the spice is spicing. It is impossible to set this one down. The full cast of characters is excellent (am I team Ty or Turner), and I'm counting down the days to see how this turns out!
The Unknown Daemon pulls you even deeper into Ena and Ty’s story, and their dynamic is stronger and more emotional than ever. This one is definitely darker and sadder than Book 1, they’re fully wrapped up in the daemon world now—trying to keep Ena safe, hide their real relationship, and figure out the truth behind that amulet—and it makes the whole book impossible to put down. The tension, the danger, and the spice all hit perfectly.
If you haven’t read The Knowing Witch yet, start there so you can dive straight into this. The Unknown Daemon is fast, addictive, and a must-read if you love magic, romance, and characters who get better with every book.
Book dedication: “To all those who feel torn between their past and their future. It is time to embrace the unknown.
My thoughts: I really enjoyed book two and it was a wonderful way to continue with the series. Ena and Ty are finally together and we get to watch their relationship grow with perfect tension and spice. Ty’s POVs were a highlight for me! ❤️🔥 The underworld provided a rich and intriguing setting, uncovering secrets and truths. I also appreciated the spotlight on the side characters, learning more about Turner's and Steig's background. I can’t wait to see where book three takes us after some revelations near the ending. 👀
I couldn't wait for this book to be here and I am so excited I got to read the eARC, thank you so much M.M.Parks.
It was so fun, being back with Ty and Ena and I loved to see their relationship develop. Seeing and getting to know more of Steig and Turner was amazing, they are such good side characters.
Some of the parts where Ena was portrayed as witch slave were pretty tense, but thankfully they were easy to read and not too dark.
I found the plot to be really interesting although the end felt a little bit rushed to me. I can't wait for the third book though because I have to know how everything is going to turn out!
First of all, I want to thank the author for gifting me an eARC of this book💛 This was a highly anticipated read for me as I absolutely loved the first book. This one was a good continuation of the story and we also got introduced to even more lovable characters (and also some not-so-lovable ones). I still adore the leads, but I do think the side characters really got to shine in this book (and I just want them all to be happy, please and thank you!) There were some parts of this book that I did not love, but overall I am really enjoying this series so far and am truly excited to see what will happen in book 3!

What an amazing continuation of this story!!
We pick up exactly where the first book left off and the story only gets better!!
I was so happy that Ena and Ty finally have a chance to get to know each other all over again, the lust was lusting and the spice was spicing 🤩
The secondary characters were so well written and the family connections were surprising but didn't feel forced.
The dual POV in this book was an awesome decision in my opinion, being able to finally Know what Ty is thinking and feeling really rounded out the story.
I finished the first book thinking I would be able to predict the cliff hanger at the end of this book knowing there was going to be another on. I was wrong. The cliff hanger I thought would end the book, came well before the end of the book. My new guess of a cliff hanger also didn't happen at the end of the book and was much different than I guessed. Cole's truth at the end of the book and THAT cliff hanger has me upset I don't have the next book in hand. I am so happy that the story line is not as predictable as I thought it would be.
ARC REVIEW & Spoilers incoming!!: Oh my lantaaaaa so much was covered in book 2. We got a lot of answers for questions so that makes me feel fulfilled that the final book 3 is set up perfectly.
Ty and Ena went to the underworld and back for their relationship LITERALLY. 😵💫 Their pursuit to unite the will of both Gaia and Iblis will test their relationship and push it past the limits. Turner is such a godsend providing humor during the dark moments 😅
🖤 Forbidden love 🔪 Morally grey MMC 🖤 Second chance romance 🔪 Strong willed FMC 🖤 Witches & Daemons

M.M.Parks has done it again! This was a wonderful sequel and has left me waiting very not patiently for book 3! Parks has a way of writing emotion you can feel, as if you are Ena or Ty feeling each moment and not yourself. Her magic is again wonderful, easy to understand and fascinating. She keeps you hooked and you can’t help but love each character.

Thank you to the author for choosing me to read the ARC for The Unknown Daemon. I loved book 1, The Knowing Witch, but this one was even better. Ty and Ena’s relationship and character development really blossomed. There were lots of good spicy moments, some scenes that broke my heart, and lots of plot development to move things into book 3. This was dual POV which I love so much. This was a 5 ⭐️ read for me and I can’t wait for book 3.
