Yes, I had ARCs to read and reviews to write, but Untamed was staring me in the face. I downloaded and read Untamed in one day. Massio is a dirty one, and his revenge method is a bit unorthodox—make his ex-wife a grandmother by getting her daughter pregnant. Why not! Untamed is packed with all the good stuff that BJ Alpha is known for: br33ding, sp@nking, brat calling, D@ddy, sp!tting, and so much more. It was worth staying up to read.

With Untamed being book 1 in the Mafia Daddies 2 series, this one definitely set the tone and expectations for the rest to follow. This age gap romance was spicy and full of drama and tension - I absolutely ate up every bit of this. Massio was *chef's kiss* and I just loved how his quest for revenge turned into so much more. Thea was the perfect "little brat" for our MMC, but at the end of the day, I'm still wondering who exactly tamed who 🤭🥵 This is definitely a new favorite!

He Wanted Revenge… Instead He Lost His Heart

You know those books you pick up thinking you’ll read a chapter or two before bed?

Yeah… this wasn’t one of them.

This was a “one more chapter” book that quickly turned into “how is it already 2 a.m.?” I was completely hooked from beginning to end.

Massio Marino is the kind of hero dark romance readers dream about.
He’s powerful, protective, intimidating, fiercely loyal and carrying years of heartbreak and anger.

What starts as a revenge fueled mission quickly becomes something much more complicated and watching him fall for Thea was one of my favorite parts of the story.

The transformation from resentment to devotion was beautifully done. The harder Massio tried to fight his feelings, the deeper he fell. Beneath his tough exterior is a man who longs for something real…a family, a future and someone to share it with.

That vulnerability added so much depth to his character.

And Thea was absolutely fantastic.
She’s smart, sassy, determined and refuses to let anyone dictate her life. I loved how she stood her ground and challenged Massio at every opportunity. She isn’t simply swept along by the story…she drives it.
Her strength and resilience made her the perfect match for a man like Massio.

The chemistry between these two is undeniable.
Their banter, tension and emotional connection kept me turning pages long into the night. Every interaction felt meaningful, whether they were challenging each other, protecting one another, or slowly breaking down the walls they’d built around themselves.

What surprised me most was how much heart this story has beneath the mafia backdrop. It’s a story about healing, forgiveness, trust and finding love in the most unexpected places. The emotional moments hit just as hard as the romantic ones.

BJ did an incredible job creating characters that felt authentic and emotionally layered. She perfectly balanced suspense, romance, family dynamics and heartfelt emotion, making this a story I couldn’t put down.

The Untamed by BJ Alpha completely owned my attention from start to finish! Massio and Thea had explosive chemistry, and their banter had me smiling just as much as their intense moments had me glued to the pages. What starts as a revenge fueled plan quickly turns into something neither of them expected, and I loved watching their relationship evolve. The perfect mix of dark mafia romance, age gap tension, emotion, and all the delicious drama made this impossible to put down. If you’re a fan of possessive heroes, high stakes, and plenty of spice, this one is a must read!

Wow , Massio you may have just topped all D@ddies. Thea is just a sassy heroine that I loved so much. This book was incredible and filled with plenty of steam , twists and familiar faces throughout. I loved seeing all the familiar faces and it got me wanting to do a reread of their books. I need more from Sal and the rest of Massio's family i am so intrigued by them all. This book was incredible and sooooo HOT D@ddy Massio is definitely one of my favourites. Bring on the next book in the series I can't wait.

Massio had a plan….Thea….once he laid eyes on her the plan went out the door….game over!!! He went from causing her pain to touch her & die real quick
& I don’t know what Veronica out in the world is messing with peoples lives but this is two books this year that if I met her I wouldn’t want to be her friend…just know that Karma catches up eventually….it just took years for Karma to find her
If you are looking for an age gap daddy mafia romance that’s high on the spice give this one a read…we did get to catch up with past characters…I love when that happens

What a read!!!! BJ Alpha really knows how to write Mafia men because Massio was all that and more!! Age Gap, bodyguard, and his ex-wife’s daughter!! I knew this book would make for an interesting story. Thea, dealing with issues of neglect from her mother finds solace in Massio who is protective and falling fast. A little bit of sass and banter that I enjoyed! And the spice was soo good! ☺️

10/10 no notes oh my goooodness! In true BJ fashion, she nailed every part of this. The OG mafia daddies could be given a run for their money with these second gen. Massio is delicious, his little brat is perfection, and the spice mixed with the story is a great balance.

This age-gap mafia romance delivers everything I wanted: undeniable chemistry, emotional depth, family drama, dangerous secrets, and two characters who challenge each other at every turn. What surprised me most was how much heart was hidden beneath all the tension.

Massio's story hit me harder than I expected. After losing his parents young and enduring heartbreak from a failed marriage, he buried himself in the mafia world and built walls around his heart. The life he once dreamed of—a loving home and a family of his own—felt completely out of reach. Instead, he became the kind of man people feared: powerful, ruthless, and loyal to La Familia above all else. 🖤

When the opportunity to settle old scores presents itself, Massio believes he's finally getting the revenge he's been waiting for. What he doesn't expect is Theodora Jennings.

Thea initially appears to be the stereotypical privileged rich girl, but it quickly becomes clear there's so much more beneath the surface. Despite growing up with parents who are more concerned about appearances than their daughter, she's strong, independent, funny, and far more resilient than people give her credit for. She refuses to be intimidated by Massio, and honestly, watching her get under his skin was one of the best parts of the book. 😏✨

Their connection develops almost immediately, but what I loved was how neither of them completely fit the role the other expected. Massio walks into her life believing he's in control, only to find himself completely captivated by her. Thea may be younger, but she more than holds her own. Every conversation, every argument, and every stolen moment between them felt charged with energy.

The banter was fantastic, the tension was relentless, and their relationship evolved in a way that felt natural despite the chaos surrounding them. At some point, I genuinely started questioning who was influencing who more because Thea had Massio wrapped around her finger almost as much as he had her under his protection. 😂❤️

One of my favorite things about Massio was seeing the softer side hidden beneath his hardened exterior. For all his intimidating reputation, his devotion to Thea was impossible not to love. The more time they spent together, the more obvious it became that he wasn't simply attracted to her—he genuinely cared about her happiness, her safety, and her future. Once Massio decides someone belongs in his life, he's all in, and that level of loyalty made him incredibly easy to root for. 🥹🖤

The emotional side of their relationship was just as compelling as the romance itself. Both characters carry scars from their pasts, and watching them help each other heal added so much depth to the story. They didn't complete each other; they strengthened each other.

As always, BJ Alpha knows how to create a story packed with suspense, emotion, and characters that stay with you long after you've finished reading. The pacing never slowed, the chemistry never faltered, and I found myself completely invested in every twist and turn.

By the final page, I was already desperate for more from this world. And after that glimpse of Jenson's upcoming story? Consider me fully obsessed and counting down the days until Unthinkable arrives. 👀📚🔥

Untamed is a captivating start to the series and easily one of my favorite reads so far. If you enjoy protective mafia heroes, strong heroines, age-gap romance, emotional healing, and relationships built on chemistry, trust, and devotion, this one deserves a spot at the top of your TBR. ❤️✨

In true BJ Alpha’s style, this book had me on the edge of my seat. This spicy age-gap romance delivers on tension, heat & chemistry that we’ve come to love & expect from this amazing author. She has given us another brilliant dark romance, a sinfully addictive read I devoured in one sitting !

Massio was a high school drop out, his parents killed as a young boy. He became a soldier for the Mafia.

Massio met & married his wife Veronica as a teenager, he was ready to turn his back on the mafia world, he longed to create a stable home life, build a family with her but was left destroyed when his ex wife traded him in for someone flashier (He had a lucky escape)

Heartbroken he dedicates his life to La Familia, Sal Marino takes him under his wing starting a new life.
He became a hardened, ruthless man. An angry young man that the dark world welcomed with open arms. He craved the danger but the need for a family of his own has always existed in his heart.

When an opportunity gives Massio the chance to exact revenge on his ex wife he jumps at the chance.


Theodora (Thea) Jennings initially comes across as a spoiled rich brat. Her father has employed Massio to be her new bodyguard. It soon becomes apparent that neither parent cares about their daughter. They are more interested in status & themselves.
Theodora doesn’t mind, it gives her the independence to do what she wants.

When Massimo arrives at the Jennings residence all his plans seem to disappear. What initially started off as a dark, calculated plot of revenge soon turns into an obsession to make Thea his own.

From the moment Massio meets Thea there's an undeniable spark between them. He is so intrigued by her that he can't wait to make her his.

I loved watching her effortlessly disarm him. Used to being in control, he finds himself drawn to her Sass, warmth, authenticity & confidence. She definitely gives as good as she gets. Their chemistry felt natural from the start, and I couldn't help but root for them.

Their chemistry is off the charts, Thea
maybe much younger than Massio but she’s mature beyond her years, she’s equally under his spell.

They were the perfect match for each other, they healed each other’s scars.

We also see a much gentler side to Massio when it comes to his ‘Little Brat’ He would quite literally burn the world down to protect her. Again, it made me love him more.

He wants a family with Thea, he’s not willing to let her go or for her to walk away ~ Not without a fight!

Another brilliant five star read from Ms Alpha.
I’m very much looking forward to reading Jenson’s book, especially after reading the excerpt of Unthinkable !

I missed these characters so much and I am happy the author decided to extend her first series. I love BJ’s writing, the way everything is comforting and familiar but also new and surprising, with incredibly chemistry between the protagonists as well as a very good plot and secondary roles.

Massio really is something else: handsome and ruthless, but also able to care deeply. And Thea? I adore how her character evolves and becomes stronger through true love.

I can’t wait to read more!

Quello che Massio però non aveva previsto è che Thea è bellissima, intelligente, determinata e dolce. Adesso tutto ciò che vuole è renderla sua.

Non vedevo l’ora che questi personaggi (già visti nei libri della prima serie) tornassero! Adoro lo stile dell’autrice e come riesca a regalare comfort e familiarità, ma anche elementi sempre nuovi e sorprendenti. Mi piace la chimica tra i protagonisti, ma anche il microcosmo di personaggi secondari sagaci e indispensabili.

Massio è meraviglioso: duro e implacabile ma sensibile. Ho molto apprezzato la crescita personale di Thea, così segnata dal passato ma pronta a fidarsi del vero amore. Una bella lettura spicy per questa estate!

And Thea? I adored her. Beneath the sass, stubbornness, and bratty attitude is a character with so much heart. When her past starts to unravel, prepare yourself because I was an emotional wreck. Nobody deserves what she endured, and all I wanted was for Massio to burn the world down for her.

Now let’s discuss B.J. Alpha’s greatest talent… making readers spontaneously combust. The spice? Absolutely feral. I spent half this book fanning myself and the other half desperately turning pages because I needed answers.

The plot twists caught me completely off guard, the chemistry was explosive, and the emotional moments hit hard. This is exactly why I keep coming back to B.J. Alpha’s books.

Massio Marino absolutely stole the show. He’s fiercely protective, intensely possessive, and hopelessly fixated on Thea long before he's willing to admit it. Watching him fight against his growing feelings while slowly losing every ounce of control was incredibly satisfying.
As for the spice? Completely unhinged in the most glorious way. B.J. Alpha knows exactly how to balance intense chemistry with a compelling storyline, and I was equally invested in the romance and the mystery unfolding behind the scenes.
The twists genuinely surprised me, the emotional moments packed a punch, and the connection between Massio and Thea practically ignited the pages. Every chapter delivered something that kept me glued to my Kindle.
My Kindle survived by sheer luck, my emotions did not, and I’m already counting down the days until the next Mafia Daddies book.

I am so glad that BJ decided to make more of the daddy books. They are hands down my favorites. Every single one she has written has been an instant buy for me. She has an incredible way of making the stories everything you did not know you needed to read in your life. She mixes fantastic intimate scenes with great heartwarming diaglog. The men are always morally grey but they have no problem taking what is theirs. The women are always drawn to them and need them in ways that only they can help with. I have been dying for Massimo's story since we saw him in Daddy Vinny's story. I just knew he would have a good story from the little sneak peak that BJ gave us. I was not disappointed in the least. He definitely gave the other daddies a run for their money. I will say that Rocco is still my favorite but who knows, Jenson could change that for me. We shall see once we get to his story. Massimo was married to Thea's mother. She did him so bad that he never really dated after that fiasco. She was a horrible and despicable woman. She gets what she deserves in life. She treated her own flesh and blood like trash. From the moment we meet Thea you can tell she has been neglected and Massimo is the one person that can change her whole life in an instant. They have an unbreakable connection to each other. There were twist and turns, I was not expecting. We find out just how interwined all these characters lives truly are. I cannot say more than that because it will give to much of the surprise away. I also enjoyed meeting Sal and the boys. I sure hope Sal is getting a book too. I need him to find him a woman. If you love mafia romances with a daddy kink this series is the one for you.

JUST WOW! This is my favorite BJ Alpha Series, it is always so perfect!

Untamed is book 1 in the Mafia Daddies 2 Series and what a way to begin!

From the very beginning, the story grabs the reader and keeps them in the edge of their seats! I couldn’t put this book down, it was so perfect!

Massio is Vinny’s right hand man in the Mafia and he is bored of living with Vinny and Gracie, when the perfect opportunity arrives to him, bodyguard his ex-wife’s daughter.
He is ready for revenge after his ex-wife left him for another man and got pregnant. Her actions made him give his life to the Mafia, and although there are no regrets, he intends to make his ex pay by getting with her daughter!!

When Massio arrives to the job interview, he quickly realizes neither parent really cares for Thea’s well being. Theodora (Thea) Jennings is initially thought to be spoiled brat, but is shown that she acts this way due to the lack of supervision in her life.

When Massimo first meets Thea, he is quick to forget about his revenge plan as he is trapped in Thea’s aura. These two are perfectly made for each other and although there are a lot of secrets and lies beneath their attraction, they give into it.

Massio and Thea initially have all the banter, but their chemistry is so strong that they cannot stay away from each other. Once all the truths are out there, the only thing that remains is to fight for what they want, their love.

The opening book of the Mafia Daddy 2 series delivers exactly what you park yourself down for when you crave scorching chemistry, forbidden romance, and a revenge‑driven origin point.

Massio is out for vengeance against his ex‑wife, and when Thea — the ex‑wife’s daughter — needs a bodyguard, he gets a front‑row chance to settle old scores. Massio is the textbook definition of a Dominant Alpha: relentless, strategic, and laser‑focused on his goal. Add lethal charisma and a god‑tier body, and the man becomes a weapon all on his own.

Thea is a sharp‑tongued, stubborn, clever brat who pushes every one of Massio’s buttons and tests his patience just because she can.

When one is a dominance‑driven Alpha who lives for control, and the other loves to poke the bear and break every rule, you know you’re getting a clash of opposites. The age gap naturally gives Massio the upper hand, but Thea challenges that authority in the most delicious way. The Daddy–brat dynamic is strong in this one.

When Massio is presented with the opportunity to tame a brat of his own, as a bodyguard, it is for none other than his ex-wife’s daughter! The daughter she had when she just so happened to have cheated on Massio with her now husband. Was the ink on their marriage certificate even dry yet?? Set on revenge, Massio is determined to tame this brat who he knows will test her.

Theodora, aka Thea, has been hated by her mother for so long, she cannot even remember a time when she ever felt loved by her. Thea had me wanting to be an inner Brat, the way that this girl got underneath Massio skin was phenomenal.

Massio definitely started out this with a vendetta and a revenge but then when he took one look at this girl it was like his entire brain chemistry changed.

The amount of kinks in this book will have you spiraling and they're done in the most erotic way possible. I never thought I would be into certain kinks but this book definitely makes you question yourself.

I think once Massio realizes that Thea is nothing like her mother then he ultimately decides like he wants this girl all to himself and he also wants to be the man she needs.

If you're wanting heavy banter and you're wanting a book that's going to make you need every toy and a towel this is what you need.

I can say the plot twist kind of did shock Me I will say that like I hate Thea's mother with a passion and I was still blown away by the events that happen.

I do love though that you get to see Side characters and what's to come and there's a lot of foreshadowing so I loved that.

Get ready for a man who is going to have you willing to bend over and a woman who is going to have you wanting to be everything but the good girl 😏

This is a dark Mafia age-gap romance. The content, both on and off page, covers topics that are heavy. You MUST proceed with caution; your mental health matters.

Well… it’s safe to say Massio can call me Little Brat and I’ll happily crawl for him. Wow! What a guy! He’s taken the BJA top Daddy spot without a doubt.

BJA takes no prisoners with the boundary pushing in this one… OMG! Please remember this is fiction and enjoy it for the filthy ride it is.

I enjoyed the premise of the book; it had me swooning, overheating and swearing! I can now tick bodyguard off my list too! As with all of BJ’s books, it was easy to read and left me in a puddle on the floor at multiple points during the read. Massio and his dominating, filthy mouth 🫦

I’m a lover of fast paced and all the spice but this seemed to verge on the line of too fast paced for the number of pages. I was super excited for this and finished feeling something was missing. It lacked depth and focused on the wow factor of how forbidden it was. I felt it didn’t live up to the standard I’ve come to love from BJA, which is a bit gutting. That being said, I’m excited to see what else BJA has in store for us next with this series.

UNTAMED absolutely dragged me by the throat, slapped me across the face, whispered “good girl” while ruining my emotional stability, and then expected me to move on with my life like nothing happened.

Absolutely not.

Massio had me questioning every red flag I’ve ever claimed to avoid. This man is possessive, obsessive, morally gray, and one bad decision away from making me bark at my Kindle. I should hate him. I wanted to throw him into traffic. Instead, I folded like a lawn chair.

And Thea? That girl deserved the entire world. The trauma she endured shattered me. Every glimpse into her past had me physically clutching my chest, ready to fight every single person who ever failed her. Her strength through all of it? Unmatched.

And then THAT revelation.

THE MOTHER?!

Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor because I had to reread that entire scene three times just to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating from stress. The betrayal. The rage. The absolute audacity.

This book had me kicking my feet one minute and plotting fictional homicide the next.

I laughed.
I cried.
I stared at my ceiling contemplating my life choices.
I developed emotional whiplash.

The spice? Filthy.
The angst? Brutal.
The obsession? Deliciously toxic.
The plot twists? A personal attack.

Untamed was absolutely hot & addictive!

This book is the definition of binge worthy, I told myself I would read just one more chapter, and suddenly it was the middle of the night because I couldn't put it down.

Massio is the perfect morally gray mafia hero. Ruthless, protective, damaged, and incredibly intense. His desire for revenge creates so much tension from the start, and watching his feelings for Thea slowly change had me completely hooked. The push and pull between them was electric, and their chemistry is on point.

Thea was far more than the spoiled brat Massio expected, and I loved seeing her strength and vulnerability shine through. Their relationship develops with so much emotion, tension, and undeniable attraction that it will have you hooked onto every single moment.

And the spice? Absolutely scorching. The chemistry between Massio and Theodora practically jumps off the pages, making this one seriously hot read that will leave you fanning yourself more than once.

Beyond the romance and heat, the secrets, past betrayals, and emotional baggage added so much depth to the story. The twists will keep you engaged, and needing to know how everything will unfold.

He is the ultimate alpha—ridiculously hot, fiercely protective, and absolutely determined to keep Thea close. He loves her exactly the way she deserves to be loved and fully embraces his role as protector, lover, and 'Daddy' to his little brat.

​Thea:
She is incredibly strong and resilient. Despite having a tough life and dealing with difficult parents, she pushes forward and tries to carry on. I loved her determination.

​The Plot & Chemistry

What starts off as a dark, calculated plot for revenge on Massio's side beautifully transforms into an epic true love story. Thea knew her mother was no good (even if she didn't initially know the full extent of why), and watching the truth unfold was gripping. Thea falls in love quickly, but honestly, who could blame her? With Massio stepping up the way he does, there is nothing not to love. Their chemistry is explosive and off the charts.

I typically hate or don’t pick up revenge romance. Romances where the MMC wants Revenge on the FMCs family and takes it out on m. But this book was great because once he had doubts about his plan he just stopped it. He did take some time to come clean but. His vengeance plans went right out the window which was amazing.

Massio is honestly like one of BJs best MMCs
He’s funny and smart. I really enjoyed that most of the book was from his perspective. He made me blush and want to kick my feet. This man 🥴.

Thea; Her character and backstory was so sad and it was very easy to see why she had her brat exterior. I was so happy she was able to get her happy end and get away from her bitch mother and her lame father.

I truly think this book was more about a romance. It was about Thea finding herself and being able to express herself and make decisions from underneath her parents thumb.

Massio’s family dynamic as well as his relationship with Vinny and Gracie was hilarious and cute at times. I can’t wait for Sal and Winters book. Here’s hoping we can see Massio and Thea in the upcoming books

What starts as revenge quickly turns into something neither of them expected. Their love and desire escalate fast, and soon Massio isn't just protecting Thea from dangerous people, he's protecting her from the devil herself: her own mother.

His lifelong mission shifts from wanting to destroy her to protecting his new family with everything he has.

I loved Untamed. It was such a hot read.

And now, can we talk about Jensen and his forbidden obsession with Immie for a second? Because I want to read Unthinkable so badly it hurts.
