A fast-paced start to this MG series. I'd love to see more character development and actual relationships form as the series goes on, but this was a decent starting point.

The Sower’s Secret is a fun and easy-to-follow story that mixes adventure, humor, and faith in a way kids can enjoy. The idea of Jesus’ parables coming to life in the town of Parable Port is creative and kept the story interesting from the start.

The characters are likable, and the plot moves quickly with plenty of action and funny moments along the way. It’s the kind of book that would work well for reluctant readers because there’s always something happening to keep their attention.

I also liked how the faith-based message is woven into the story without feeling heavy-handed. The devotional section at the back is a nice bonus and helps explain the Parable of the Sower in a clear, kid-friendly way.

Overall, this is an enjoyable read for kids ages 8–12 and a solid start to the series.

Oh my goodness, what a fun and crazy adventure.

Brock Eastman and Shaun Stevenson are the dynamic duo of middle-grade fun in this new series.

Not only are there a host of relatable characters and antics, but the truth and depth of the Parable of the Sower is woven throughout that kids will walk away with a greater understanding of God's word.

I can't wait for more in the series.
