Leigh Rivers is a Scottish Biomedical Scientist who has ventured into the world of writing dark, morally gray characters with rollercoaster storylines to drive her readers wild.
When she isn't reading, writing on her laptop, or gaming until ridiculous hours, she dances at the pole studio, goes to the gym, and walks her four dogs with her two sons and husband.
Eldrith Manor is everything I was hoping it would be. Dark, fun, and emotional.
A girl turned ghost trapped with the demon that killed her and his *quite* endearing hellhound best friend. What more could I want?!
The banter is fun, witty and so funny and the enemies to lovers was GIVING. Topping that off, the characters are written so well. Lynx and Sable were relatable, tragic, and so lovable.
I am so grateful to Leigh and Avina for creating the magic that is Eldrith Manor. I loved every moment of this. 🖤
Sooo I had VERY high expectations for this book because it was written by my two favorite authors of all time and let me just say… THIS BOOK LIVED UP TO MY EXPECTATIONS. This was my most anticipated read of the year and I’m honestly so sad that I finished it. I absolutely loved this book. It was an emotional rollercoaster. There were parts that had me cackling out loud, tearing up, hot and bothered… all the things. I absolutely loved Lynx and Sable.
This book starts off in the past with Lynx who stole something from his boss because his boss fired him and he needed something to sell so he could have some money for him and his brother. Well, he got caught and his boss st@bbed him. He then was sent to h3ll and became a demon. Then the book shifts to present day where Sable tries to summon her sister who had passed away and accidentally summoned Lynx instead. He proceeds to k!ll her.. multiple times. 💀 Sable then becomes a ghost and they realize that they can’t leave the manor where Sable tried to summon her sister. They are cursed to haunt each other. Now they’re stuck at the manor together, arguing, and trying to figure out a way to break the curse. But let’s just say… the enemies don’t stay enemies. 🤭
I absolutely loved the wittiness of both characters but especially Lynx. That man is absolutely hilarious.
“Then the worst happens. She lets out a single, nauseating, irritating, absolute f*cking ear-bleeding sob. H3ll was preferable to this.” 💀
“It takes me ten minutes to find her. She didn’t fall through one floor. No. Being the dramatic a$$ she is, she decided to plummet all the way to the f*cking basement.” 💀
If someone comes in, they wouldn’t see her or her clothes. I’ll just look like I’m eating out a f*cking bed.”
There were also sad moments like hearing Lynx talk about his brother and Sable talk about her sister. The epilogue had me tearing up. 😭 Both Lynx and Sables pasts were so devastating. My heart broke for the both of them.
And of course, we had the love and lust. The spicy scenes were HOT ASF but we also got to see some soft sides of Lynx and that was literally everything. Sable finally was seen and loved the way that she deserved. 😭
“If you want me to f*ck you, I’ll f*ck you. If you’re afraid, tell me. I’ll walk out of here and forget this happened”
“F*ck. I’ve fallen in love with the girl I m*rdered.”
Ugh, I just love this book so bad. This will definitely be a book that will forever live rent free in my mind. I couldn’t have asked for a better book from Avina and Leigh. I’m still so incredibly grateful that I was able to read my most anticipated read of the year.
What a fucking ride. Take me back so I can read this again...
The spice, the yearning, the hate. Yes to all. And when the enemies finally turned to lovers??? YES
The combined writing of both authors was so satisfying, the way the story was progressing was an absolute chefs kiss. It was easy to read and I did not want to put it down, read in less than 24hours that's how good it was😈
Lynx the filthy mouth on this demon 😩 Sable...girl good luck 🤭
This was one of those books I didn’t want to put down after I started reading and I also didn’t want it to end. The storyline hooked me right from the first pages.
These characters, especially Lynx (and Tony), made me laugh out loud so many times. The chemistry between them was amazing. I loved the slow burn and how they slowly moved from “why did it have to be you” to mutual understanding and falling for each other when they learned more about each other. And when we finally got to the spice, it kept spicing!
Even though Lynx and Sable came from two different worlds (literally), their pasts were surprisingly similar and they both felt guilty about what happened in their past. My heart broke especially for how Sable was treated by her family.
The ending took me by surprise and I loved it!
“How unfortunate. You’re too pretty to be a pile of flesh and bones.” “Of all the spirits that could’ve haunted me, why did it have to be you?” “All she wanted to do was summon her sister, and I condemned her to a prison.” “Why aren’t you running again, little dead girl?” “I’m going to fuck you so good your heart’ll start beating again.”
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.
“I’m going to fuck you so good your heart’ll start beating again.”
Damn. This book was HARD to put down. Leigh and Avina wrote a book that kept me on my toes. We really got to know the characters. They had more in common than they thought. I loved how their hate for each other turned into something else, I can't resist a story like that when it's written so well. This was a slow burn, but when the spice hit, you better hold on to something: whew🔥
I had tears in my eyes with the epilogue. I loved this way of ending the book. The days will be counted down, I need a physical copy of this book 🖤
In this book you will find: 😈Paranormal romance 😈Enemies to lovers 😈Forced proximity 😈Slow burn 😈Demon x Ghost
Keep your eyes peeled, this book will be released soon!! Out February 4th 👀
This book was EVERYTHING and well worth the wait! I was sucked in from the very beginning. Avina and Leigh are literal masterminds. How they wrote such a masterpiece together is something I truly am in awe of.
Lynx and Sable are my whole heart. I loved how even with troubled pasts, they were able to come together (although hesitantly at first 😏). The chemistry was undeniable and I was laughing pretty much the entire book. The one liners and jokes were unmatched.
All the characters in this book had me emotional, crying laughing and so invested in. I wish it would’ve gone on forever.
Forever thankful to be part of this team and for all the opportunities I get to RAVE about Leigh and Avina. Pinching myself and hoping to never wake up from this dream 🥰❤️
This is my first 6 star book of 2026!! It was such a great story. As always, Leigh and Avina delivered and I was ready to Devour it. From the jump they had me. Sable and Lynx gave everything I was looking for in a couple. I loved their hate that turned into snark that turned into affection. After getting to know them both so well, I was very teary eyed in the epilogue and no spoilers but I was very glad when it turned out the way it did. This book was great. Definitely at the tippy top of my dark romance recs!! Stop reading this and go get the book NOW!
Holy crap! This book was too good. I almost felt sorry for Sable but yet she had a great ending. Wouldn’t we all want a demon like Lynx to chase us and keep us. This book was very sexy and I ate it up. I absolutely love their ending. And holy plot twist.!!
