While I enjoyed this book the author seems to have put themselves in a rough spot. He wants to advance a story he clearly didn't plan when he initially started this series, There will be a lot of traveling involved in the story and he doesn't want to make it boring or use time skips so his options are limited and he still wants each trip to be unique. Over all they are doing a great job of accomplishing this but without time skips and with the amount of traveling necessary it does make some scenes seem much more rushed than the early story which was more relaxing and slice of life. It's nice to see how the writers work has evolved throughout their different on going series and volumes. It's also nice that we don't have a ton of filler or side stories but with the author becoming more serious the ending just feels like they stopped in the middle of a 2 part story and you expect to see To Be Cont. pop up. Overall i enjoyed it though and I appreciate the authors subtle references to his other works in this one. If you've liked the books before this one you will definitely enjoy this one as well. One warning however, stay away from the anime adaptation mentioned in the afterward of the book, they screwed it up so bad I almost didn't buy this volume.

I still like this, because I think I just like shenanigans in general. However this series is starting to become slightly predictable, and although it is great that the scenery changes to keep it fresh, it is starting to fall into a pattern. There were not as many quips in this one, and honestly the quips are what I enjoy the most from this series. Along with the shenanigans that they all seem to find themselves in.
I do not know how much longer this series will last. Although initially, I really enjoyed it (volumes 1-3 has been some of the most fun I have had in a book in ages), I do not know if I could in good conscience recommend this series to someone if it goes on for another 20 volumes.

I'm approaching my limit with this series. The elements that made it a distinct and worthwhile experience have been diluted almost to nonexistence. Mile/Adel is no longer really hiding her powers. She's not earnestly seeking friends. And there was only one mention of Nanos in the whole book.

What it has become is a repeating cycle of "Oh what cute young girls," "Oh no, we can't let you take on this dangerous mission," "We insist on taking on this mission," "Wow you completed the mission so easily!" This is made easier by having the team move from town to town, country to country... finding unfamiliar people to overawe.

I may read one more book in the series since this one left a mystery unexplained. The books are short after all.

Abilities Average marches on in fine style

I don’t know why I review these sequels when I didn’t review volume 1 but here we are...

So Mile and the Crimson Vow continue their exploits, there is still plenty of meta humour and self-aware joking which has always been a part of the charm of the series. The story continues to meander carefully through the fictional world and distantly, through the haze, we get a glimpse or two of the Plot, like a mountain that is really a giant turtle.

If you’re here, you’re here for the long haul like me I guess :)

Another book with a good chunk of progress right at the beginning... and then going much slower. Reading these one after the other, it's not so bad, but it does make a wierd progression as a book. Also they really should settle somewhere and get people to know them, as it gets a bit exhausting to see the initial surprise of every onlooker of the Vow all the time; I UNDERSTAND the value of the storage magic now, please get to something else.

Very childish and stupid.
The girls refuse to kill anyone from an invading army that is willing to kill children. (taken hostage)
They sell them water in a lemonade stand as the army is retreating. This is so dumb it hurts my brain. Any army in this situation would immediately attack this "shop" and take the water. Instead they all line up and buy water... 5000 soldiers.... as they are actively running away from an army chasing them. I can't take reading something this stupid.
