Clint Wolf Boxed Set: Books 31 - 33
BUT NOT FOR JUSTICE
It’s never a good idea for married couples to go to bed angry, and one Mechant Loup woman finds that out the hard way.
When Clint Wolf first hears the homicide call over the police radio, he has no clue that he’s about to walk into one of the most bizarre cases of his career. Upon arriving at the scene, he learns that a couple had argued while taking a dip in their hot tub, the wife had gone to bed angry, and the husband had been left to finish his soak and a couple of beers. When morning comes, the man is dead and fingers are already pointing at the wife.
While Clint has never worked a homicide in a hot tub before, that isn’t the problem—it’s the murder weapon that makes things weird. Not only does it raise more questions than answers, but it sends Clint down a confusing and dangerous path in his quest for the truth…and he’s taking the rest of the gang along for the ride.
Will justice prevail, or will this be the first murder case that Clint doesn’t solve?
BUT NOT FOR WRATH
Sarah was religious enough to know her sins would find her out, but she never dreamed a bullet would make it happen.
It's Christmas morning and Clint Wolf is looking forward to spending it with his beautiful wife and wonderful children. However, fate has other plans, and when the phone rings bright and early, it's the dispatcher telling him there's been a murder. While the seasoned detective has seen his share of extreme blood and gore, this case is not like any of those. A single gunshot has done the job, and the scene is fairly mild. What makes the difference is the confusing nature of some of the evidence at the scene, and he soon finds himself befuddled and in desperate need of some help.
Thankfully for Clint, Detective Amy Rice decides to return to work early from maternity leave, and she jumps right into the case. As the day drags on and they struggle to find answers, Susan Wolf, Takecia Gayle, Melvin Saltzman, and Baylor Rice all join in to help bring about a resolution to the case. The extra brain power helps tremendously, but when they learn that one of their prime suspects has been kidnapped, the case is turned back on its head.
Despite the challenges, they plod on, unaware that someone in their work family will have to sacrifice greatly in order to solve the case...and that person might not make it out of Christmas Day.
BUT NOT FOR SACRIFICE
An old legend says that mother pelicans would pierce their own chests and spill their blood to sustain their young. Although this legend is believed to be a myth, one thing is a human mother will give all of herself for her children, including her life.
Lefty Bruce and his wife are enjoying a quiet Sunday evening at home when a young child runs to their residence begging for help. The young girl isn’t clear what’s happening at home, but she says her mother yelled at her to go get help, and those commands were followed by screams.
Mr. Bruce does what most Cajun men would do in a situation like he grabs his shotgun and rushes to the rescue. When shots are fired but he never returns, Mrs. Bruce calls the Mechant Loup Police Department, and Lieutenant Melvin Saltzman is dispatched to the scene.
Clint meets up with Melvin outside of the Bruce residence, and the two of them rush to the home of the little girl, where they make an eerie the porch door has been broken open from the inside and there’s lots of blood inside the house, but there’s not a soul in sight.

Wonderfully written series continues
3 novels, each with intriguing plot lines, wonderfully interesting characters solving complex crimes. Back stories add to the plot. Each novel stands alone well. Hard to keep it fresh but this author delivers.
