"The Sabatini Prophecy" is a must read for Harry Potter fans...and a young adult fantasy for the entire family! Set in a fictional, North Carolina mountain town, "The Sabatini Prophecy" is the first in a planned series of fantasy novels featuring Davey Boehm and his friends.
good book and i loved the plot, but i have a lot of problems with the only girl mc, amy. she’s displayed smallest/furthest in the background on the cover, further behind the EX BULLY spike who is only part of the group for the very end. amy’s the love interest who must be saved the most, is carried away when she’s unable to walk, and is even portrayed as the weak one when she gets sick in front of her friends after being covered in rotten eggs along with another tgen saying she’s “embarrassed.” when it comes to the climax, she ultimately is the least useful when it comes to defeating the evil spirit; she only tells the group of a lie she saw exclusively by use of her magical scarf. all that aside, at the very end she discovers she might have magic talent of her own which i loved. i hope she gets a redemption arc (not that she should need one in the first place) in the next book.

I was half way through this book when I had to turn it back in because I wasn't going to have time to read anymore. I really was liking it but it wasn't as intriguing as I had hoped, but I feel the second half of the book might be holding all the wonders I am waiting for. i really should put it back on my to read list.
