Holly Shaw is an unashamed gold-digger; a woman who values men only for their bank balances, rather than their character.
Dylan Myers is a self-professed womanizing billionaire, with more zeroes on the end of his bank balance than he cares to count, and too many stories of wealthy exuberance to recall. But does this vicarious and charismatic man harbor a secret?
Soon their paths collide, and they fall into bed in hot and salacious circumstances! But will Holly be able to solve the riddle that is Dylan Myers? And will their turbulent relationship teach them the true value of enduring love?
I wasn't too impressed with this book. The characters are annoying and the end is unsatisfactory. Even the intimate scenes, which this story is clearly pinning all its hopes on, aren't that great and get a bit repetitive. Overall I probably won't read this again and am not interested enough to read any more in the series.
Evelyn Troy has written this book with such passion that you simply can't put it down, I have to admit that I was rooting for the underdog in this love bound triangle , Rich it even pained me somewhat to know that he was so broken .His dedication and love for Holly I hoped would have somehow absorbed into her thick skull ,but it was not meant to be .On the other hand Dylan although a somewhat scoundrel that was debonair to a fault won the heart of Holly and I have to say that I am thoroughly please, because even though they sought out each other for the wrong reasons ,they in the end came to the realization in the end that their lives would be incomplete without each other regardless of the mistakes and wrong turns that they've made in the process, bravo Evelyn Troy for a work well written.
This book had me from beginning to end. Just when I thought it would go one way, the author kept turning me in a different direction. It was intriguing and a different type of love story.
Nothing about this book was bad. The grammar and spelling was passable. The storyline worked. The sex scenes were serviceable. But the effect as a whole just eh. Lie To Me is a good starter novel.
