Gonzalez is gone, but the damage has already been done.

Whizz has been to hell and back, and he doesn’t live life anymore. The demons of the past are never too far behind—until she enters his life. Lacey makes him feel again. She makes him want to live, to breathe, to be part of life. But she’s the enemy, and he’s just helped to wipe out the whole of her club. Still, no matter what happens, he can’t let her go.

Lacey knows what it’s like to be broken. She recognizes the pain inside Whizz, and she hates to see him like this. There’s no way she should love the man who helped to take away her club family, but she does. He makes her want things she can never have.

Can Lacey get over her hatred of The Skulls to finally accept her love for Whizz? What will happen when Whizz’s nightmares almost bring him to kill Lacey? Will the club stand behind his decision to love a woman who almost got them all killed?

She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. "Whizz" is the story of Lacey and Whizz.

The book begins where Revenge ends- The Savage Brothers MC has been destroyed, Butch is still in the hospital and there is a rift between Chaos Bleed and The Skulls. Lacey was spared as Whizz asked her to be his boon, and that's where we are now.

Lacey is furious and betrayed- Whizz saved her but is part of the club that killed the only family she has ever known. She tries to hate him, but cant.
Whizz cannot let Lacey go. After the torture and rape he went through, he had not been able to connect with anyone- until Lacey entered his life. This blue haired broken soul was his salvation, and he will do anything to keep her.

We see Lacey and Whizz dealing with their feelings, the Skulls and exploring their tragic past. They soon fall in love. We also get (sad) updates into Hardy/Rose as well as Alex/Sunshine pairings, and I cannot wait to read what happens next in this world.

Glad to see Whizz finally finding his HEA with Lacey.

This was another great book in The Skulls series. I waited for poor Whizz's story for so long. I needed to read that he got his HEA in the end. After all hell Whizz been through, he deserved it.

At first, Lacey was in this guilt phase. Because The Skulls whipped out her club, Savage Brothers and now she's living in their club. What more brings guilt is that if Lacey could go back and change things, she wouldn't change anything. Because in the end, she would always choose Whizz and not her club. He was her light in the dark. Whizz saw her as a woman and not broken girl. Which in return Lacey did the same. She saw him, though hunted by his demons, as he was now whole and not this damaged man. They completed each other. Helping one another to fight their demons in their souls. They were lights in the dark for each other.
Though one thing happens, that could bring their fractured beauty down and break them again. Because the "incident" makes Whizz to think that no way he can marry Lacey now. Can they overcome it?

Though after those hard years finally there are no enemies, other things are happening in the club.

There are still issues with Butch. And I'm pissed off. The Skulls still are being an a*sholes, where he is concerned. Yup, he did make some mistakes, choosing the wrong paths, but sh*t...He did everything for the club at the end. Risked his life for them. And they still don't pulled heads of their a*ses. Butch in the hospital after almost he died and no one is visiting him. Except Whizz. Which was amazing on one part, when he gave this speech about Butch to the guys. He said everything I was thinking and so much wanted to say to the guys myself. Loved his quote "Butch lost his way, but he come back to us."

Hardy&Rose...I don't know all or how and why something happened in their past. Yes, we know some snippets what go down. But not full story. So I really can't make a decision how to take that in. All I know it's breaks my heart watching them wreck.

Gash...Damn, I so much want his story to hear. He is so fascinating man. His thinking about revenge against a woman, who took away his freedom by stating lies about him r*ping and murdering. And we don't know what really happened 5 years ago. And I'm so curious. Is this woman was just malicious, or was paid to tell those lies, or she had a really good reason to do this? Like being scared, protecting someone? Because we sometimes are on the path, when we need to choose and all our choices are sh*tty. So, did she was on that path? And if so, does that mean she could be "the one" for Gash at the end? Damn, this can go so many ways. I hope there going to be a story.

Some funny parts in the story. Ned & Tiny are at each others as*es. Bickering like old married couple. Lol. I so though Eva would have enough of both of them and starts to do some "piercings" on their bodies. Well...She was close to do that at the end. That's my girl.

There so much children, I got lost in their names. Which is whose, from whose, from what...Confussed, right? Lol. But their so enlivens the story. Loved them. Their so going to be a wicked new generation of the Skulls.

And Alex...Man. When I think I finally got when I can understand and like him, he will opend his mouth and ruin his chances. Like his thoughts about Butch. Arrgh. (Mentally kicking his a*s.)
Alex got in his life someone he wants. But he can't make up his mind if he will go after what he wants or not. It's given me whiplash. And let's talk a little about in what "way" he got her. When that goes out, and believe me those things always come into the light, she will be crushed. Especially if this going to happen after they become "them". And also because in this are involed her parents. Or at least her father. That's going to be a big punch in the gut, for her to take.
And then at the end, Alex past finds him. Well, that's should said it all. After all when theirs past finds them, they always have to say goodbye to the peace.

It was nice until it lasted.

Whizz gets his HEA with Lacey 😍 😍 😍 😍

At this point in the series, we already know the hell that both Whizz and Lacey have suffered through. In this book we see them come together and make each other whole again.

There's also the beginning story for Alex and Sunshine. It ends on a cliffy for them.

We also wrap up Butch and Cheryl, somewhat. I was 100% unhappy with the way that ended.

There's a whole lot of repetition and there's also a whole lot of repetition. You also should know by now that the stories aren't good, the writing is bad, and I love them anyway.

Why does this get 4 stars?? Whizz. Duh. I love him the most and I'll be honest, out of all The Skulls members, Whizz is the one I'd want to bang the most. 😈 🤷

This book was the one I was really looking forward to as I thought it was going to be different and have more of what went on with him ( like a run up of events to how he met Lacey ) I did enjoy this book even though there wasn't many truly detailed scenes with Alan and what he went through, it left of where the other book ended with whizz keeping Lacey back while his club killed her family, She just wanted to see whizz one last time and this had her feeling guilty as sin as she lived and her Best friend was killed with the rest she couldn't look past that and we follow her throughout her stage and become a woman who had lost everything to falling for whizz.
Lacey Has a dark past and she never let anyone get close but whizz broke that mold and he was fighting his own past everyday too So in away they fixed each other.
There was a lot of the other club members involvement in this book and we learn how angel has to grow a pair but in lash's book I felt she was sassy and a tough woman but I've felt like she's this weak person now and love Eva she's queen bee!
it was a really good read and I do love that it's not just one persons sole own book & The Skulls as a whole is in it, just wished for a bit more grit from Whizz's PoV.

I'm excited to read Alex's story and in the future Ned's story.

Book 9 in the Skulls series
Finally Whizz's story is here. We finally get to hear what Alan really did to Whizz. Well we heard some of it. Would have liked to hear a lot more.
Lacey understands everything that has happened to Whizz. She can't stay away, even with the Skulls killing to rest of her club.
Life is back to normal, but the club is still suffering from the affects of all that happened while Gonzalez was on the rampage. Butch is still in hospital and thinking the club will never take him back.
The sub story with Lash doesn't sit well with me, but read the book yourself and enjoy. You may feel completely different to me about it.

I struggled to really get into this one for some reason. Maybe because there wasn't as much drama as the other books. Also, Alex played a larger part in this book and he's my least favorite of the characters. I really was thinking we get to see Whizz's struggle to overcome all his issues related to his torture by Alan but Whizz had already done a lot of healing prior to where his story starts.

The editing and grammar are improving with each book in the series I'm looking forward to the next book.

As much as I love Sam's books and this series, its getting too repetitive. I love a lot of this book, I just feel that Tiny (the Prez), is so emotional. One second he's cool, next he's angry, then someone explains in detail (typical more than once) why he over reacted or handled the situation a certain way, and finally the apology or forgiveness. It just seems to happen over and over again. Whizz is cool but I don't get how Lacey would forgive him so easily for what he and mc did to her Mc.

Another great story. Finally Whizz found someone to love him. Even though there were to many stories going on the same time, it was still great. Miss the other MC club. Cheers to the author.

Whizz - The Skulls MC Series - Book 9 - By Sam Crescent

This is the ninth book in the Skulls MC series and it was everything I hoped for and so much more. Whizz our beloved club computer whizz who has suffered so much hurt for belonging to the club finally has his story told and finds the happily ever after he so rightly deserves with the equally beautiful and broken Lacey. At the age of thirty three Whizz has endured so much pain, tortured, scarred and brutally raped Whizz completely withdrew from his brothers and club family, he was struggling to breath with all the pain of what he went through, thought he was unlovable and no one would see past his scars and past. Then one day a Curvy beauty with striking blue hair looked at him as the man he was not as what had happened to him. She knew his pain had enough of her own but saw Whizz for him. From that moment on their fates were entwined and sealed. This is such a heartbreakingly beautiful story and it was so well written with respect and feeling fir such difficult subjects.  It goes back to when Whizz was hurt by Alan the enemy in Zero's story, we also met Lacey previously in Butch's story and the Revenge book eight in this story. Lacey was a part of the Savage Brothers MC so now we are moving forward from the end of book eight, Revenge. At thirty years old Lacey is starting to overcome her nightmares and pain of her past, brutally raped and unable to bare children because of what happened to her as a child she became part of the Savage Brothers MC, they were the only family she knew but we're not a real family not like the Skulls MC are. She still has so much to learn and to give to those around her. Lacey and Whizz are both broken souls but together they make a whole, they truly complete each other, they saved one another and it is beautiful to read. I loved the side storylines, the continued twists and turns that keep us hooked throughout the book. Angel is telling Lash off which I didn't think would happen, she is growing stronger constantly and it is wonderful to see. Also her friendship with Gash is great, he is helping her find her strength within. He is also a great character I am desperate for his story it is going to be amazing no doubt. I truly feel for Butch, he has made mistakes but is still a Skull, his woman Cheryl is proving to be quite a little spitfire which I am delighted to see. Alex, I have mixed feelings about Alex one minute I like him the next I want to Gibbs slap the back of his head, he seems so together one minute then lost the next. I am intrigued to see where his story will head and what will happen with sunshine. Tiny and Eva are still making me laugh because of Tiny's reaction to Ned and his fighters rocking up at the club. Ned is definitely one in a million and knows how to melt a woman's heart. Him and his fighters definitely need their own series no question.  Hardy and Rose are breaking my heart, so much love is there but so to is a lot of pain. Their story is going to be an emotional roller coaster for sure. Overall this is another well written story, packed with love, heat, emotion, humour and most of all family. I also appreciate the plus size representation in Lacey. This story is everything you could hope for from a Skulls book and more. You are going to love it! Happy Reading.

Lacey is having a hard time with the Skulls. For one, she is the only surviving member of the Savage Brothers MCs and she isn’t trustworthy. Whizz aka Adam feels whole with Lacey. She keeps the memories of Alan at bay and makes him feel again. But to win over the club and move past her old MC is making difficult for Lacey. I do love that the ladies. They are peaty like the men. They know how hard it is for Lacey and also know that she is the best woman for Whizz. We do read about Hardy and Rose still having difficulty in their relationship. A past affair still affects Rose. It really breaks my heart that they are going through this. I hope they plan to adopt since Rose can’t have children. Even Lacey can’t have children. The guys need to start adopting children that need homes. There have to be some out there. We also are learning more about Alex. He has a housekeeper that he has feelings for that no one knew about. I am looking forward to reading about Sunshine. I know she isn’t going to like what deal Alex has with her dad. And we still have Butch. Tiny doesn’t want to bring him back into the fold over what happened. But honestly, Whizz is right. They are a family and they can’t blame him for everything. Butch still had his loyalty to the Skulls. Is Tiny and the club going to turn their back on him because Whizz already made it clear how he feels about that? And who Peter and what is going on with Alex?

Closure without the grit. Finally, the story of Whizz (Computer wizard for The Skulls MC) and Lacey (Member of the defunct Savage Brothers MC). This book picks up right after the ending of Gonzalez where Whizz decided to 'save and keep' Lacey for himself. The Skulls killed off Lacey's MC and she feels extreme guilt for being saved and for having feelings for Whizz, the person who helped end her family. She is very conflicted with her guilt and attraction to Whizz. Whizz and Lacey went through some painful things in the past, both being raped, beaten and tortured. They have been unable to heal their pain. However, they come to understand that together, they can help each other feel better.

This was a touching story that gave some of the horrific details of what Whizz endured by the hands of evil Alan. I thought Sam Crescent did a great job of NOT giving the reader the gory details. She provided some flashback scenes when Whizz was being held by Alan, but did not dive into retelling his complete ordeal while being held captive. Clearly, Whizz changed after meeting Lacey and became more confident and came out of this shell more. I also liked that because Whizz was with Lacey that he was not magically cured of his issues. This made the story very believable. Lacey was a strong heroine who was not weak and could hold her own. Her character was likeable. The majority of the story dealt with Lacey getting over her guilt and letting Whizz in. This also included more smoking hot sex scenes between the couple!!

We received closure on Whizz and Lacey and Butch's fate with the Skulls. The story also touched on Lash's feelings about being the next President of the Skulls, Angel secretly taking self defense training with Gash and Alex has a thing for his housekeeper, Sunshine. This sets up the next book which will feature Alex's story. It should be a good one!!!

Why Not 5 Stars?

At some point I became tired of Lacey's guilt and the characters constantly repeating of how the Savage Brothers interfered with the Skulls revenge and Butch betraying the club. I also was tired of being inside of Lacey's head with talk of Dalton and her wanting to die. I got it...but it became very boring.

No MC Grit and Drama! There was no MC drama/grit in the story where the Skulls where kicking ass and taking names. I'm sure the next book will bring the drama back, but it surely was missing in this book and I wanted it!

"Whizz wanted her to be a sl*t to her own desire." Ok, Whizz... if you insist.

This book was a FANTASTIC addition to The Skulls series! Whizz & Lacey were so perfectly imperfect together. *sighs a million happy sighs*

I fell hard for Whizz. I loved most everything about him. What he had to go through with Alan in the past was horrible. I loved the solace he found in Lacey, the fact that his body only desired her & I admired the fact that he wasn't driven to wh*res, drugs or alcohol on the way to his road to healing. Man, his brand of alpha was HOT! He demanded that Lacey beg, taste, lick, suck, beg some more & take. It. All. *fans herself* I never pictured him being as dominant as he was but I LOVED it!!

I really liked Lacey & her blue hair too. (I can already picture Whizz dyeing it purple for her.) What she had to go through in her past was awful, just like Whizz's experience. And the fact that she lost her "family", well... it's easy to see how that was tough on her too. I welled up each time she gazed lovingly on one of the Skulls kids & my heart swelled every time Whizz mentioned adopting with her. Her & Whizz were truly wonderful with one another.

Alex- Not quite hooked yet on his impending storyline, partially because he's never been a favorite of mine. I think his book will have the biggest age difference (25 years) I've ever read about before... as long as his woman makes it through to the next book. And interesting... now his son's name is back switched back from Matthew to Michael. *sigh* Consistency, please. :)

Hardy & Rose- Talk about a hot mess. I know what I'd do with Hardy & as far as I'm concerned, Rose has taken a step in the right direction... Finally.

Gash & Angel- It'll be interesting to see how Lash reacts to her training with Gash because he's totally gonna find out some time in the near future. I'm excited to learn more about Gash's story too!

Eva, Tiny & Ned- I'm OVER the spat that Tiny & Ned get into when they're around each other. Guys, you're both old & Eva's not a twenty-something anymore either. Move. On.

And just a club wh*re note... The Skulls need their wh*res to go to a boot camp or something. A respect-the-old-ladies-and-NEVER-talk-sh*t-about-them-or-you're-kicked-out-on-your-a** boot camp. Raven, I'm talking about you, you little witch!

Very much looking forward to the next book in the series!!

Too complicated to be love.

In no way can a woman who’s whole family is killed would love the man and his family that did it. The author wrote a massively complicated story for these two, that it’s IMPOSSIBLE for it to be a believable, relatable, understandable love story. Where the trauma and depth written was highly interesting the insta-love erotica failed miserably to hold my attention. It actually disgusted me. I don’t care what level or degrees of Stockholm’s syndrome could possibly explain it, it’s just simply an unacceptable love story. Sadly, I might have liked it had it not been for the plot premise. I have nothing else to add on the main characters supposed love story.

This series of books are not stand-alone’s. They have to be read in order as each book includes other characters stories, along side the main leads. This book included Hardy, Alex, Gash, and a lot of past characters catching up. Hardy and Gash’s upcoming stories interest me but not Alex. Each and every book has characters that make poor decisions and the author isn’t sophisticated enough to make them relatable people.

Honestly, this whole series has been a horrible experience for me. I’m left with a pit in my stomach full of anxiety after every book. I DONT BUY ANY KIND OF ROMANCE BOOK TO BE LEFT WITH THAT FEELING AFTERWARDS. I’m only continuing to read it because I bought the whole line too long ago to return it and because once I start something I try my damnest to always finish it. I would always wonder about it otherwise.

I have been looking forward to Whizz's story for some time now and well honestly while this was good, I was expecting more. I'm glad we got a minor glimpse into the torture Alan put Whizz through, it made the story come alive that way. The thing is nothing really happened in this book except the development of Whizz and Lacey's relationship. I think I got used to all the drama from past books, so I thought something would eventually pop off in this one, but aside from Tiny and Ned making complete asses of themselves and the club acting all stupid around Butch, nothing else happens, so it was pretty generic. The sexual chemistry between Whizz and Lacey was off the charts so that was hot.

However, the setup for Alex and Sunshine's story seems like its going to bring the drama right back into The Skulls so I'm really looking forward to that! I think Whizz and Lacey were the perfect compliment for each other, two damaged souls coming together as one, to save one another. Theirs is truly a story of love and survival. I give Whizz a lot of props for coming to Butch's defense, he is a true brother. Cheryl continued to be fabulous in this book as well, protecting her man, defending her family against the world! She is a woman I definitely want in my corner!

I'm not one to usually leave reviews but I had to say something about this series. This was the 9th book in the series and u really don't know why I am finishing the series. The only reason I can think of is because the story line is actually really good but... COME ON! The sex scenes are like reading the same ones over and over from book to book. And hello! There are other ways to describe a kiss than "slammed his lips to her". There are also other ways to describe a woman's arousal than "cream". I am so sick of those to word (slamming and cream), it is taking everything I have to finish the books. But I will, because like I said, the actual story line is really good. I have just been skipping the sex scenes because, hey, I've already read them in the other books. I am curious about the Chaos Bleeds series, but I don't think I can read them if it is going to be more of the same thing.

Whizz went through something horrific when he was captured by The Skulls enemy Alan. The nightmares are making it difficult for him to move on.
If it wasn't for meeting Lacey and trying to put her broken pieces back together he isn't sure where he would be.
Lacey is living with the guilt of choosing Whizz over the friends that she had in her club. Because of her choosing they are all dead, but the guilt lies with them and not her.
Two broken souls who wasn't sure they had a future are now depending on each other to get through the hard times.
Again another fantastic story. My heart bled for what Whizz went through and all that he suffered. Yes Lacey went through something similar but Whizz has been a part of The Skulls for a long time and you get to know him more throughout the series.
Easy read, right amount of drama and the ending leaves you hanging wondering what is up next for The Skulls!

One thing I like about the books in this series is that they are written in a way that you don't have to read the previous book again to get into the current one (but feel free to do so as they're great)

This is Whizz and Lacey' s book. Both characters have been broken, but together they are whole. Love their relationship. It is mentioned that due to her prior trauma Lacey is unable to have children, but she still has menstrual cycles, so wouldn't a miracle baby be awesome?!?!

Another reviewer mentioned that she thought it would be revealed that Lacey and Butch were siblings, I kinda thought too. The series is not done yet though........As we saw in this bok the other couples are mentioned in each story.

This was an endearing book, a Wizz was finding himself & in so found him calm in Lacey... she made the hurt less to nonexistent , did the club get over there caution of her yes... once Whizz made clear where he was going with Lacey they where fine she just had to get use to being around people... she still couldn't touch people but in a room fill of people she was fine & that's because Wizz made her complete she her fears , worries etc aren't there like they use to...So just as you thought you might get away with a nice a calm HEA.... BAM there's two stabbings , two missed calls & a call the for a Ambulance... whether those two make it out alive ... I hope they do , we have to wait for the next boom...... Bigger!! .... Awesome Reading People ....:-)

Awesome book

This was a great read . I love how even though faced with the consequences of what their enemy left behind. The Skulls always come together as a family and help each other heal .

Whizz and Lacey have been through so much and yet they helped each other heal . And with that they found a love that only the two of them could ever experience.
Unless you walked a mile in their shoes the Skulls brotherhood could only be there to help them both pick up the pieces and show them that the love of family will heal any disaster that their enemy tries to create.
Such an amazing book I really enjoyed this one .

OMG! Loved it! I waited on pins and needles for this book to come out. It was so worth the wait! Storyline was well written, entertaining, emotional and so dang hot along with healing, love and acceptance. Whizz and Lacey are broken and both been thru hell and back. They have a connection and are perfect for each other. Their chemistry and passion was just Wow! Definitely one of my favorite in the series. Would recommend.

I liked the storyline but I typically find the author's stories need more development. Tends to feel rushed at times. Less sexual dialogue and more background may be needed. Whiz was a character with a hell Of a past. Author could have really delved into his emotions and in-turn the readers would have "felt" his turmoil and pain. Love the biker genre and awaiting Alex's story.
