一Peter W. Ferretto(香港中文大學建築學副教授)
The book provides a glossary of 453 spatial patterns in Hong Kong. These are isolated by way of drawings. There are also photos to link back the patterns to actual situations. The book provides a intellectual foundation for the approach. Not being a social scientist or architect I’ll let others comment on that part.
Apart from the fact that it’s very beautifully done, I found the approach very interesting in that it systemises a lot of the most fascinating features of Hong Kong.
The book is in Chinese and English, but since the editor is from Taiwan you’ll probably have to go to a specialised bookstore or order it online.
