Seth Levy thought civilian life would be the easy part. He was wrong.
When a freak accident strands the retired Marine on a brutal alien prison planet, he discovers a galactic conspiracy, a corrupt empire, and an underground rebellion fighting for survival. Forced to navigate a universe of hostile empires, zealot warlords, and bioengineered monstrosities.
Seth is thrust into a conflict that could determine the fate of entire civilizations.
Alongside a misfit crew of rebels, former enemies, and AI allies, he must face mercenaries, monsters, and military forces as they fight to uncover buried truths and ignite a revolution.
The galaxy doesn't need another hero. But it's about to get one anyway.
If you like war-hardened protagonists, sprawling space operas, and relentless action, then you'll love Shipwrecked, the explosive sci-fi adventure series that proves no one cages a Marine for long.

The first book started out a bit awkward to me. The whole "kidnapped by aliens" trope always feels a little contrived to me.
That feeling was gone completely after the first few chapters. This series isn't about aliens kidnapping humans. This series is a Star Wars-level epic galactic struggle!
The action is non-stop with many twists and turns and surprises. The characters are dynamic and have their own surprising turns. There is even a bit of romance.
I liked the characters - Seth, Kenda, Nitha, etc. Still wonder about the religious fanatics- where did they go and what was their purpose in the story?
Questions remain about the mutant destroyer creatures, more information about guilds and their differences. Frankly, the ruminating by various characters was monotonous and I skipped over it but don't think I missed any of the story.
I enjoyed these books and, though some things still hanging, liked the ending
A lot of action. Interesting variety of characters. Rebels fighing against an oppressive regime. What's not to like? Poor proofreading, that's what. Annoying and gains momentum in the last book. Fortunately it doesn't damage the story too much. Only one spot where I couldn't tell what was trying to be said. So perfectionists might need to stay away. Anyone looking for good storytelling, keep track of who's who. You'll get the message.
A marine who has retired from the service, hoping for some kind of work in the private sector. He's got a boss that's got an attitude about using people to give him leverage to advance. Captain Seth was suddenly fired with trumped up charges. Leaving he's indoor in an accident that knocks him off a bridge. A bright light surrounds him, he's knocked out cold. Waking up he's some place that makes no sense, he's been abducted!
What I liked best was pulling an earthling into the mix. He and a band of misfits wreak havoc in the alien universe. The characters are the standout. The plot was solid. There could have been more scene settings as that’s always the case with me. Highly recommend.
Story is great with excellent characters. Kept a good pace with plenty of action to keep it going. Nice storyline to follow to the finish. Great job by the author in pulling me into the story and keeping it interesting throughout. Very glad I have this in my library.
The last book Choice of a Lifetime brought the series to an end which I felt was too predictable. I thought the whole series was not quite up to Johns usual standard. There were seven books in the set and the next one has six which leads me to think John is running out of ideas for what to write. Shipwrecked is a good series to read though from my point of view I thought it was lacking a little
I enjoy John Walker's space sagas. Characters you develop feelings for, some to love, some to dislike. I never know where the story will go so cannot guess who will live to the end. The prologs and updates book to book keep you up to date on the storyline. Nice touch.
Fantastic.im so glad the complete series was there because I had to keep reading. It's worth it. Right from when the shipwreck happened through to completion, absolutely well written.
I quickly read this with plenty of enjoyment. The twists and turns in the intertwined plot lines keep me hoping. The story started out a bit clumsy but quickly caught me up in the multiple love stories.
An interesting collection, I started and had to get to the end, it is one of those series you have to keep reading, but feel sad when you get to the end. Very enjoyable and a good ending.
Near future building excellent John makes this story seen very plausible, made me really wish to be there with Seth, exciting, exceptional, well written Thanks
A little slow at the start. But as you read and the people started to come into place, the pace picked up. It was a good series to read and it was very enjoyable.
Somewhat far fetched, but enjoyable nonetheless. Lotsa action, romance, excitement and traveling across the universe. Good ending. Alls well that ends well.
This book is quite compelling and hard to put down. The space battles are not too immersed in minutia but have enough so that you feel like it is truly ha
It was pretty good in the beginning, and the story was solid, however after a while I started to feel like there were way to many characters to keep track w
