Caren Archer works for Brett Norton, CEO to a tech company. She’s his personal assistant, his right-hand girl, and yet he hardly knows she exists…until she screws up, that is. One day, overworked and exhausted, Caren accidentally schedules two meets being two feuding clients at the same time. They discover Brett is trying to play both sides of the conflict, and both decline to do business with him in the future. Caren is mortified and prepares for Brett to scream at her, but he doesn’t. He only stares at her until she leaves the room, then returns to his office and locks the door. Caren is sure she’ll be fired. She begins gathering her belongings when she receives an e-mail from Brett asking her to come into his office immediately. Assuming he’s about to let her go, Caren tries to keep calm as she walks into his office and closes the door........
