high emotion and lots of love

Amani and Dimitri, he sees her, he wants her and he does get her. He is watching her when the guy she is tutoring becomes very handsy. Dimitri comes to the rescue and through determination he wins Amani over.
Moments of reluctance become a heated relationship. Lots of loving, protectiveness and both are so happy together

3⭐️: Good read, but didn’t quite stand out. Still worth recommending to others.
4⭐️: Really enjoyed it and stayed engaged throughout. Would read the book again. Definitely recommendable.
5⭐️: Incredible writing that made me deeply connect with the characters. I was completely absorbed in the world and didn’t want it to end. This book stayed with me even when I wasn’t reading it. I'd gladly reread it and highly recommend it to everyone!.

Dimitri Ismailov is the personification of unhinged! And I love it!


It's been a while since I've really delved into my favorite family by one of my favorite authors. And, boy, have I truly been missing out. This book had me in the tightest chokehold, glued to my phone because my Kindle was taking too long to charge. The one thing I remembered right away about these Ismailov men: they don't have an off switch when it comes to their women. None.

As soon as Dimitri Ismailov laid eyes on Amani in that coffee shop, before she even spoke a single word, it was over. After their first exchange of words that included a smile from Amani, I said to myself, "Gurl, you might as well start packing up your apartment, get ready to quit your job, and throw away your night attire (you're not going to need it)."

Dimitri was so unhinged when it came to Amani. There's a part in this book that might have been a little cringe for some readers. Not this gal! Nope. I loved every minute of it. If you know, then you know. What I loved and appreciated so much was when Amani stood her ground whenever Dimitri was a little overbearing. But that man doesn't play when it comes to his woman!

This book was so 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 with so much 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 I seriously thought Amani was going to need to wave the white flag! These Ismailovs and their endless appetites. Lol.
After the crazy drama and Karma paying visits in the night, I absolutely loved that epilogue!!! This is another awesome addition to the Ismailov Bratva. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!!

I have read a few of Jailaa West’s books and I have enjoyed them. This new series is dark, delicious, and spicy. The FMC Amani is a hard working college student who is trying to make it. The MMC Dimitri is rich, powerful, and possessive. When he lays eyes on Amani at a coffee shop she works at there’s no going back in making her his. It’s definitely mildly dark but if you like this genre it not disturbingly dark. I love to see a new series from this author and you get a preview of what is in store for the next book. This book has plenty of heat and depth when it comes to explaining why Dimitri is the way he is. Would have loved a little more background on why Amani is attracted to his type of crazy. Great beginning to a series and I Highly recommend it. Can’t wait for the next story in this series.

This was my first read by Jailaa West. Dmitri was everything that was promised in the blurb. He was unhinged and over the top the entire time. That man had no chill whatsoever. Definitely check trigger warnings before reading. Amani was minding her business, doing her thing, and then here comes Dmitri. He wants her to be his everything. If you’re in the mood for something like that and the drama that ensues…this is for you!

Wonderful

I have to say, that it’s interesting just how…creative…one gets when it comes to getting what they want. The storyline is well written and well executed.
I truly enjoyed how well the interactions of all of the characters came together.

The chemistry that Dimitri and Amani have for each other is truly palpable. This is definitely a weekend game changer, and I am looking forward to seeing the next in the series.

Dmitri showed Amani what an obsessive stalker was willing to do to get the person he wanted. Dmitri was prepared to go above and beyond to make Amani. He made sure that anyone threatened her or made her feel unsafe, lived to regret it. It was perfect that even though Dmitri’s type of love scared Amani, it turned her on even more and she knew she could never leave him and she knew they were perfect for each other. This was an eerily wonderful book and I can’t read the next installment in the series.

The only thing I didn't like about this is that there wasn't a lot of parts where we saw the characters connect. I love dark romance, but typically we see the main characters connect at some point. This was more of a forced relationship on his end and she just went along with it.

This was the first book that I’ve read from this author and I did enjoy it. I wish her dynamic with her family was better explained and constantly stating “twenty years” or “two decades” was redundant but the book was descriptive and the wording was lovely. I also wish the author included that that the main characters went on dates and got to know eachother so that their connection didn’t seem only lustful.
