Some secrets are worth the wait...

At Amberjack Shores, the Dalton family is finally finding their rhythm. New partnerships are flourishing, both in business and in matters of the heart. But just as life seems to be settling into something beautiful, unexpected visitors arrive with their own agendas.

Long-buried truths are about to surface, challenging everything the family believes about their past. An old friend emerges from the shadows with revelations that could change everything if he can be trusted to tell the whole story.

Meanwhile, new opportunities beckon, bringing fresh faces and exciting possibilities to the island. But in a family where loyalty runs deep, it's not always easy to tell who deserves their trust.

As romance blooms and artistic dreams take flight, the Daltons will learn that some family mysteries are worth unraveling, while others might be better left alone.

When the past finally speaks, will the truth set them free... or tear them apart?

The saga continues at Amberjack Shores, where love, family, and secrets intertwine like the tides.

Island Dreams is the fifth title in the Amberjack Shores series, and gives us more of the Dalton family’s adaptation to changes in their lives in this generational saga. Just when things seem to be moving smoothly, expect the unexpected.

I’m enjoying the Dalton family saga, as some relationships become stronger, others begin to fray at the edges. A sister’s unplanned visit will bring suspicion and revelations, and a teenager’s unhappiness over learning unsettling things about her father will create tensions within the family. Love deepens for one couple, and possibilities tempt another. And one man’s knowledge of the truth behind a son’s disappearance will rattle the foundation of this family.

Island Dreams is a well-written, emotional, and oftentimes tension-filled saga with characters who are believable and situations unique yet realistic. There were some things revealed that I had suspected for a while now, and I loved the life that both Becca and her daughter, Katie, are carving out for themselves with good men who love them and stand beside them proudly. Life isn’t perfect for this family, but then life rarely is. If you enjoy a women’s fiction, generational saga with characters you’ll become invested in, then you’d love Island Dreams by Laura Abbott.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

misunderstandings make for a great story

I really just love this story. It’s a combination of a lot of people that are And people that care for each other. It took forever for two people to admit that they loved each other. And a teenager needed a good kick in her a**! The appetizers were magical and drew romance as well. Linda - a woman of stunning patience …beautifully written.

I mean idk i like it still i like the family vibes but since book 4 and it’s just repeating the events literally nothing new happened for two whole books tbh i skimmed most of this book it just felt like reading the same chapter over and over again

Three stars purely because i still like the characters and the warm feelings the books gives i sincerely hope book 5 gives some closure or at least new information

Lack of editing

Again, as in the last installment, the timeliness continue to be inaccurate. Significant occurrences within storylines are mentioned and then abandoned.

The story for the most part is good, but its clear the books were either not edited, or not edited well.
