Chloe Miller delivers a satisfying and heartfelt conclusion in the final book the Haven House series. I've thoroughly enjoyed every visit to Haven House and getting to know its residents—both dead and alive, and it is so bittersweet saying goodbye.
If you haven’t started this series yet, you're missing out. It’s a great blend of romance, family loyalty, betrayal, and mystery that keeps you turning the pages. What a journey it's been!
Haven house is home and forever part of my soul. I’ve come to crave the perfect chaos that Miller has created with this family. From oldest to youngest members I adore… almost all of them.
From the very beginning of this book I knew emotional wreckage was headed my way. The lingering grief for the past always has a way of popping up… not just in books. Miller literally had my chest ache and my throat closing in sorrow as I reached for the tissues. The next minute I was laughing and needing me some more of Harper.
I can’t say I’m ready to say good bye to the mess that is the Fairweathers because Haven House is a special sort of home for me, but may the ghosts that reside there finally know a measure of peace.
“We were a group of lost people who found our family together” -Ben Fairweather
Of all the books I have read, no author has been able to immerse me in the story, connect me emotionally to the characters, break my heart, and put the pieces back together quite like Chloe I Miller. She is a master of words and artist of storytelling. The way she takes us through different timelines and character POV’s creates such an immersive experience.
This finale of Haven House (I don’t even like how that looks…) provides answers to so many questions, closure for events from all four books, nostalgia and sentiment as we reflect and move forward, and a deeper history into the Fairweather family as it sets us up for the spin off’s coming in the future. There are happily ever afters, recognition of how those gone before are still with them, and sadness as we see some of their stories come to an end. I lost count of how many chapters made me cry, but just as many made me smile.
The emotions are written so well and realistically.
Haven House is consistently enchanting, haunted, and home.
Their tragedies are heart breaking, but experiencing how they take their broken pieces and knit each other back together is beautiful.
Haven House is home. And the Fairweather’s are family.
They the most intricately wound found family who love unconditionally, fight fiercely for those they love, and will burn down anyone and anything who stands in the way of the safety and happiness of their loved ones. They may not all share the Fairweather name, but they are all Fairweather’s.
“Because when it comes down to it, everything we do is just another story. Devon. Laura Jean. Miranda. Livy. CeCe. Ty. Albie… They’re nothing but stories now, their lives reduced to tall tales we hope to remember as the years pass. We’ll all become tall tales one day,” Simone said, almost too quietly to hear over the happy sounds pouring from the home he’d purposely built for times like this. “Take those Fairweathers in the graveyard. One day, we’ll be just like them. One day, no one will know that any of this was real, and we’ll become just another story until we’re forgotten altogether.”
“We won’t be forgotten.” A tear slid down Ben’s cheek, and he let it fall, too lost in the moment to care. “Because when it comes down to it, SiSi... we gave them one hell of a story.”
Isn’t it just so great when you find a book or series that completely drags you in, makes you fall in love with the characters, and demands that you sit on the edge for every nail-biting moment of it?? Once again Chloe has my heart and soul within the walls of Haven House!!! To say mind blown is an understatement. She has managed to once again surpass my high expectations of the twists and turns of the dynamics of the Fairweathers. There was one person that I was skeptical of throughout the story and my gut instinct was spot on!!!! We finally have the answers we have so desperately tried to search for in the little things through the books. Things are not always as they appear, but as they are. I look forward to see what Chloe has in the works next!!!! Until next time……
Loved this final installment of the Haven House Family. I’m going to miss this family. I laughed, and I cried. It’s a wild ride, but as fans of this series we would expect nothing less. Once again, trust no one. I had figured out who the most untrustworthy person was long before the reveal, just not how or why. I tried to warn them, but they are Fairweathers, and they obviously didn’t listen. There are so many little details sprinkled throughout that tie the whole series together. Chloe did a fantastic job of wrapping up all storylines with the perfect ending for this family. I can’t wait to see what adventure she takes us on next.
This was the absolute best wrap up to the series! Like the other Haven House books, it had a little bit of everything. Prepare yourself for the journey because this one was LONG! Not in a bad way though, things were kept just interesting enough to keep you entertained and want to keep reading 🫢 I definitely stayed up way too late to finish it but it was worth it!
THIS FREAKING SERIES. I was crying at the ending because damnit chloe...its so beautiful. I love this family and haven house. this series i will keep close to me forever and we got all the answers in this book. “Because when it comes down to it, SiSi... we gave them one hell of a story.” " Yea....i think maybe we did" LONG LIVE THE FAIRWEATHERS AND HAVEN HOUSE
As with every Haven House book this one has its fair share of jaw dropping moments and so many twists and turns. I cannot believe we have ended an Era of Haven House thrills?! It was an enormous privilege to have early access to the ending of this series.
I'm having a hard time writing down my review. This series has been an emotional roller-coaster from the beginning right until the end! It had me at the edge of my seat. It had me crying. It had me screaming profanities, and it had me giggling and kicking my feet. I loved every single second of it, even though it hurt sometimes
Haven House is an amazingly complicated series with an even more complicated family. You don't try and understand this family tree. No, you feel it! You get drawn into it, woven inside of its structure. Including the spirits that haunt its ground
A lot of lingering questions are finally answered in this last installment of Haven House.
Miller delivered yet again when it comes to these complex characters. Her weaving of words and plot has yet to disappoint. Untangling the truth from the lies and secrets had me laughing, crying, and screaming. We dive deeper into the past with these characters and find out just how far back some of Tobey's followers integrated themselves into the Fairweathers lives. We also get to see appearances from other family lines- one that I wasn't expecting, but loved the connection.
While I am sad to see the Haven House series come to a conclusion, I am excited to see what the next book Miller has in store. She has quickly became an instant buy for me.
From the start of Haven House, I fell in love with the characters, the emotional rollercoaster, the suspense, and the spice. The Fairweather's and Haven House will always hold a special place in my heart.
Even though I'm sad to see this adventure end, this final book did not disappoint. All stories wrapped up and complete with questions answered. From the twists and turns and jaw-dropping moments to crying uncontrollably to laughing. This final book keeps you on the end of your seat and hits all your feelings.
If you have not read this series, I highly recommend you do.
I can't wait to see what Chloe has in store for us next as she has become one of my favorite authors being able to make you fall in love, cry, and laugh with just the right amount of spice and suspense.
Finally saying goodbye to Haven House and I must say it’s been a treat to be a part of. Chloe’s writing, storytelling, and imagination are impeccable. This is a given. However, this was still my least favorite of the series. I am just not a fan of Jamison as a main character. I LOVE Liam, Samuel, Evie, Simone, even Ben, but I just cannot deal with Jamison. She just isn’t my kind of FMC. I love that these are all written with multiple POVs so I can still enjoy the book and storyline thoroughly. Somehow I even ended up loving poor Michael Sinclair. That poor damaged man just got roped up with the wrong people. I think the ending was extremely well written. Although I’ll miss Haven House and its original main characters, I’m very hopeful for whatever Chloe has in store for us later.

I did not want this book- or this series- to end. But Chloe managed it beautifully. The gasp I let out when I figured out I was right about it a certain character! And the twist with Sinclair was just so heartbreakingly beautiful. Like sure the guy is a “bad guy” but is he that different from the “heroes” we’ve been cheering for this whole journey? All of the characters had a beautiful arc and I love how well represented all different walks of life are. From fertility struggles, to complicated family dynamics, to real mental health and trauma. Everything is well written and respectful in a way that feels real. I absolutely adored every part of this and can’t wait for potential spin offs for new characters.
What a fitting end to the Fairweather saga! I can’t believe it’s time to say goodbye to Haven House…. But Chloe Miller gave a heck of a send off with this book! The twists and turns of the series all fell into place. There was heartache, suspense, and spice. But there were also answers, and no cliff hanger. I loved the way Miller tied in the past and all of the families the Fairweathers have touched along the way. July 4, 1999? It broke my heart. So did Miranda, Laura Jean and Ben, CeCe… and even Charlie. As the door closes on Haven House, I feel like all of the plot details are wrapped up beautifully. I’m so lucky to have gotten to read this early as part of the ARC team.
Thank you for the opportunity to read the ARC for an honest review.
The final book in the Haven House series is the perfect conclusion. Finding out where all the little breadcrumbs were leading us to was 🤯. This book is spooky, hot, frustrating, suspenseful, and somehow healing. I enjoyed this series immensely. Saying goodbye to the characters felt like saying goodbye to family; a wildly dysfunctional family but family non the less. Thank you for welcoming us to Haven House one last time.
Once again Chloe I Miller does a masterful job of wrapping up the emotional stories of her characters. Between the Miranda, SiSi, and Ben stories- not to mention the Liam and Jamison story- I cried, celebrated, gasped, and mourned the finality of Haven House. There are characters I hate, characters I love, and one I’d like to marry (Ben!). I will be reading them all over again to relish in the details.
WOW It was so good, how everything tied up Thank you so much to Chloe and team for the ARC! for giving me the opportunity to read this first!! My friends told me NOT to start a series that left on cliff hangers each year, but I started, didnt even need a refresher as soon as I got back into the book, it all came back It was effed up with the cult, and the family, but WOW Perfect Ending, made me gasp, cry and smile Cannot wait to read more of her books <3
🥹🥹🥹 I'm not crying....I swear! Gosh, this book! I have loved this series from the beginning, and I am so sad to say goodbye to Haven House! These characters feel into my heart from the very beginning and I loved their stories! This book did NOT disappoint! What an intense situation we found ourselves in! This wrapped up nicely and gave us the conclusion we needed for everyone. Great read that I am sure I will revisit again!
Man I loved that I had picked the correct villain. And the way the death was handled was perfect! I loved the hunt and the way all the secrets unfolded. I can’t even choose a favorite character from this book. So many of them grew and were so well fleshed out in this book. The ending was a perfect way to wrap it all in a tidy bow. Thanks Chloe for writing a series I couldn’t wait to read and hated to finish the last word.
This has been a book that has been long awaited and it did not disappoint. The final Haven House book.... I cried, laughed and worried thru the whole thing. Josies(#7 & 19 mainly) and Bens chapters hit me the hardest as those held soo much emotion. I don't want the story to end but since it must i will say it ended perfectly. (and thank you for Simone)
Being back at Haven House again was perfection. If you haven’t been along for the journey you need to go back to the beginning (which I just might do again).
This book definitely had me on my toes but in the end made a ton of sense. The twist and turns and ah ha moments that were out in this book is chefs kiss 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
I am in a complete book hangover. I am so sad this journey is concluded but boy oh boy did Chloe deliver! This book really had it all and the only reason I didn't speed right through it was because I didn't want to say goodbye to any of them.
This series will remain in my heart. Its pages will be loved and warn out from the years and years of re-reads.
Chloe I. Miller is a fantastic author. This book had me holding my breath. The twists and thrills of this book kept me on edge, but I absolutely loved it, and will read all her books again. I will recommend her books to anyone willing to listen. Haven House will forever be in my heart.
This was a long one and it drug on...but..it couldn't have been a more perfect ending for all of us who moved to Haven House and made the Fairweathers our family for a time in our lives.
This will be a series I hold onto and come back to revisit from time to time.
Haven House is a home and will forever be a part of me. This author has a way of bringing everything to life and drawing you into the story. An amazing ending.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! I'm so sad it's over but Chloe did it again. This made me feel all the feels and was the perfect ending to this series. I CAN NOT wait to see what she comes up with next.
Five stars is not enough. This as the best ending Chloe could have ever given haven house. This book had me crying, screaming, laughing and just going through all the feels sometimes even on the same page. I am so heartbroken this is good bye to this series and can’t wait to read it all again. I have thought about this series and characters every day since secrets came out and I don’t know if I will ever stop. They hold a piece of my heart that I don’t ever want back. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ spice scale
