What an amazing book! It is such a heartfelt story filled with secrets, lies, unexpected events, and love. It brought happy tears to my eyes when a certain something came to the surface. I just wanted to keep reading to find out what would happen next and what the daughter’s secret was.
Molly, an event coordinator, lives in Texas. She’s doing some research on Caroline-she’s the owner of an indie bookstore in Montana. Wait til you find out what kind of research. This is definitely mind blowing when you find out. At the age of 26 Molly had a terrible event happen in her life. Keep this in mind when it comes to why Molly is doing research. Her friend Stacey, a waitress, lives in the same building as Molly. She has a dog named Henry. I came to adore him even after something terrible happens to Molly while walking him one day. Molly was definitely lucky.
Molly decides to try to get a job at the bookstore in Montana. It will bring her closer to Caroline and maybe get some much needed answers. Stacey is bound and determined to go with her. Wait til you find out her motive and what she does to get Molly to let her tag along. I wasn’t too fond of her. She just rubbed me the wrong way from the beginning. One major thing happens on their way to Montana. It’s definitely sad when you find out what happened. Fast forward to when they get to Montana and settle in. Molly is excited about the bookstore-Read More Books, and what she has planned. When Molly meets Caroline she didn’t realize she had a daughter and that a tragic event happened in her life. Now she’s about to confront Caroline and turn her world upside down. In the end when the secret comes out how will it affect Caroline, Molly and Stacey. Will Molly still have a job? After all, she has done great things with the bookstore. It has done a complete turn around from what it was. Is Montana now where she will stay and live? One other thing, let’s not forget Gus. I just loved him from the moment Molly met him-hint (dancing). He’s so good to her and treats her the way she should be. To sum everything up, this book is a must read. I can definitely relate to this story. In life, you never know what can or will happen. The quote below from Patricia is my favorite!

This is the second book in the Secrets series by Tina Hogan Grant which I finished reading in two sittings. It’s an easy read with wonderful characters. The story has everything from secrets, romance, family and a strong community.
Molly loses her parents to a tragic fire which devastates her. She is holding a secret for 3 years. Her friend Stacey encourages her to find the truth and to move to Montana. Stacey has a secret herself and she joins Molly together to go to Riverbanks a small town. She doesn’t however reveal her intentions to move to Montana. What are these two trying to discover? What is taking them to move all the way from Texas to Montana? Will their secrets change their lives for good? To find out the mystery don’t miss this heartwarming story.
I really enjoyed the details and descriptions of the beautiful town of Riverbanks set amidst the mountains. How the people look out for each other and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Makes me want to visit Riverbanks and specially the bookstore named Read More Books which is the backdrop of the story. The author does an unexpected addition of characters from the first book in the series. They tie in seamlessly to the present book. It was a wonderful surprise in my opinion.

Tina Hogan Grant, the Author of “A Daughter’s Secret” has written a heartfelt and captivating novel. This is the second book in “The Secrets Series” but can be read alone.. The genres for this story are Small Town and Rural Fiction, Women’s Literary Fiction, Friendship fiction, and Family Fiction. In this well-written book, the author vividly describes the small town charm, and the colorful and dramatic characters. I love that there is a very personable dog, and a sweet attentive cat. Molly has secrets that are close to her heart, and she has decided to search for the truth. A tragic fire killed her adoptive parents, and after waiting a few years, Molly is determined to take some action. She needs to get to Riverbanks, a secluded mountain town in Montana, which is far from Texas, where she has lived. Her close friend and neighbor Stacey decides to accompany Molly on her trip. Stacey has some secrets as well.

Molly is on a personal journey to find answers about her past. She had suffered a horrific tragedy three years ago and since then looking for a job and planning a move to Montana. Her neighbor and best friend Stacey literally begs Molly to let her, and her little dog Henry go with her. Molly finally agrees and they put what they can in Molly's car and set out to Montana from Texas. Molly doesn't know but Stacey has secrets and a reason for going along. They run into problems along the way that tests their friendship, strength and courage. Twists and turns that I didn't see coming, clues I missed. This is a beautiful, heartfelt story that I enjoyed from beginning to end. The story is filled with secrets, lies, some unexpected events, and some familiar folks.
I fell in love with Roxie immediately, too. I can't say how much I enjoyed this book, and so sad that it ended. This is book 2 of The Secrets Series and I highly recommend both books. "Secrets Told" is book 1. Excellent.

Have you ever read a book and wished you could read it again for the first time? Well, that is this story, for me. I've only had this happen.A couple of times. this story is simply extraordinary.
Molly,

But she tends to move on, because that's what she has to do. Later she finds out things she didn't know about.
So many secrets come to life later. molly finds out things she never knew.
Also I will say a book that has pets in it. Dogs and cats it a bonus.
And henry, the dog i found it unique how his owner came up with his name.
I loved this book so very much. I really wish we could give more stars on our reviews.Because this book deserves 10 stars, because it's so good. Oh my gosh, I actually didn't want this book to end.

A new book by Tina Hogan Grant? Of course I read it. Thrilled to get this ARC and again, as usual, she does not disappoint. What is better than a love story, a mystery, a surprise, family and success all rolled into one book? We follow Molly and her secret all the way to Montana to start a new life, but there is more. I felt I was part of this beautiful story and the women who were in it. I also love a surprise.....did not see that coming at all. So take the journey and follow Molly and make sure you pre-order this book that will be released July 25th, 2025....you wont regret reading such a delightful story!

Words can not express how much I loved this book! Molly has a secret that she has been holding on to for 3 years. And now is the time to reveal it. When her best friend insists on going with her for moral support, she reluctantly agrees. Happy to have the company, but what she doesn’t know is that Stacy also has a secret and an ulterior motive. This story carries us along a journey from Texas to Montana and helps us realize that sometimes we have to step outside of our comfort zone and take chances in order to make our dreams come true. I definitely recommend this book!

This was a great book and a clever tie-in with the first book , Secrets Told. It can be read as a stand-alone book, but read Secrets Told first so that some things will make more sense.

What a wonderful book! A story about loss, hope, determination, and a fresh start!

Stacey had learned something that brought her to Molly. Together the ladies moved out of state to a fresh new beginning and to unravel and reveal the secrets that each held.

If I could I’d give this book more than 5 stars. I read this book in 2 days. Lies, love, secrets. This book was so good. I enjoyed everything about this book. I thought things were not going to turn out the way they did. I honestly didn’t know what Stacey’s secret was and thought it was going to be something that was going to harm Molly but it wasn’t. I’m glad it ended the way it did.

Intriguing
Molly and Stacy are best friends and neighbors, each with a secret. Molly accepts a job which requires must to relocate, and she is able to actualize a dream. Now Stacy reveals her secret, and the girls are closer than ever. Very colorful characters & fun to read.

I sincerely loved this book. It was a part of my book club picks. I usually read dark books, but I was thrilled to take a break and share this experience with the characters. So many secrets!

Good plot but needs editing
Loved the story line and tying the first novel in at the end. However, the story needs editing as there were many inconsistencies that make me wonder if the author remembered her characters stories.
