Mile High club with a silver fox stranger? Hot. Finding out he's the NHL Coach at my new job? Shocking. Him offering to knock me up? Scandalous.
Our first-class hook up was supposed to end when we landed.
Imagine how my heart stops when I walk into his office on my first day. His jaw drops too. And sparks fly sky-high.
But I have rules. And he doesn't do relationships. Plus he's decades off-limits. Even if he does have a cocky smirk and a nice @ss.
Then he accidentally sees my dossier of potential sperm donors. Finds out I'm on a mission to have a baby. And makes me a scandalous
“I'll be your baby daddy.”
But not how you think.
No cups. No labs. Just him. Deep inside me. Me calling his name.
He's going to get me pregnant the old-fashioned way.
This is Coach Clark's story from the Baltimore Blue Crabs - a spicy, forbidden age gap romance with mile-high heat, workplace tension, and one very unexpected baby deal. Full-length, no cliffhanger, and a guaranteed HEA.
This blends workplace tension, forbidden attraction, and a high-heat baby-making pact. The story follows a chance mile-high hookup between a younger professional and a silver-fox NHL coach—only for them to discover they’ll be working together. What unfolds is spicy, and emotionally charged with a bit of banter, power dynamics, and unexpected vulnerability. It's light hearted in places but with enough emotional drama that makes you keep reading... enjoyable.

I knew this story was going to be amazing and it was! Harrison and Lovie have electric chemistry. Harrison and Lovie were both kind and caring and made the perfect pair. This book had it all; low drama, steamy moments and great humor. Another amazing book by Mia Mara!

I give this book 5 stars. I voluntarily reviewed this book. The author has written a great story between Harry and Lovie. This book was well written. It was hard to put down.
I was mainly trying to use this book as a pallet cleanser but then it just started pissing me off. The whole thing with the wife and best friend “they cheated but it’s been 15 years and they’re sorry” f that! Seriously pissed me off when the author started to push the MMC to forgive them because no f her and f him and just leave the poor guy alone geez!
Mile High Coach is Book 5 of the Pucking Daddies series. It's a steamy, OTT, age-gap, office sports romance. Lovie is a 33-year-old smart and sassy consultant who wants to have a baby. Harrison "Harry" is a 47l8-year-old hunky silver fox and coach for the Baltimore Blue Crabs hockey team. The two meet on a plane ride and have a hot mile-high encounter. When Lovie walks into her new consultant job for the Baltimore Crabs, she sees the man who rocked her world. He doesn't do kids and relationships, but when he finds out she wants to have a baby, he offers to help the old-fashioned way. Real feelings develop. Their chemistry was hot, the banter was funny, and the ending was so happy. I loved it.
She has seen him all over TV and watched his interviews and stuff, yet she didn't recognise him before sleeping with him? Feed this line of bullshit to someone else.
This book caught my eye due to the male MC ends up being a coach instead of a player and that is very different. There were a lot of things going on in the background pushing Lovie to do certain things which turn out ok. I liked this book, a HEA story but not like the regular ones that are out there. Enjoyable book, I will probably read the others in this series.

As someone who is currently going through medical issues with a father, I really connected with Lovie! I loved seeing the fact that her father grew as the family did and fought to be better for them. Honestly, I wish my dad could do the same.
The banter and spice between Harrison and Lovie was chef's kiss! I couldn't get enough.
I've been experiencing some pretty heartbreaking things lately so my head hasn't really been in the right place to read about romance. But Mile High Coach made me want to read it! I was sucked in from the blurb and along for the ride. A ride I didn't turn back from.
Mia Mara is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors, with this book being no exception!
Mile High Coach includes:
A Baby Making Contract Silver haired coach Forbidden attraction Workplace drama Romance HOCKEY Banter Emotionally gripping watch the vulnerability rise to the surface Steam A storyline that grows as the book goes on
So in conclusion - this book is the perfect mix of light hearted but also has emotional scenes to keep you going along the way! I highly recommend!
♥️ 𝖙𝖗𝖔𝖕𝖊𝖘 - large age gap (33/48), silver fox, NHL coach x employee, forbidden, baby contract, enemies to lovers, no-strings
🧨 𝖘𝖕𝖎𝖈𝖊 - risqué mile high club, workplace tension, desk action, giver, jersey moment
⛔️ 𝖙𝖗𝖎𝖌𝖌𝖊𝖗𝖘 - heavy fertility discussions
────── ⋆⋅𝖒𝖞 𝖙𝖍𝖔𝖚𝖌𝖍𝖙𝖘 ⋅⋆ ──────
First things first, that contract and their initial discussion of the logistics, was top tier reading. It gripped me so fast into the book, I got whiplash.
The words strictly business were at the forefront of my mind, and full transparency… it added that extra heat!
So much so that every time the lines blurred between said “business” and “pleasure” I was mentally smudging them myself because I was accepting nothing less than these two being total endgame.
Non-negotiable. Signed, sealed, delivered. Bang the gavel, case closed.
Having loved and married a man 13 years older than me, I'm really not a fan of these type relationships.
However, there is nothing wrong with this story or the couple who fall in love. Harrison is very much the well toned, sexy, retired athlete. He believes in his position, team, and himself enough to stay young.
Lovie is an old soul. She's logical, methodical, type A person with a structured life. She wants to be a mom? She seeks out a fertility clinic. She visits sperm banks for possible fathers. Research, planning, meticulous scheduling.
Harrison accidentally finds out and volunteers to help her the old fashioned way. What does Lovie do? She writes up a contract, shares her ovulation charts, scheduled "sessions", and treats it like a business venture.
But when they touch .... Fire!!! Unfortunately, you can't plan or schedule love. It's not straight forward or easy. Thankfully it doesn't have to be.
Does she get a baby and a happy ending? Let's just say, they have potential.
If I thought Lovie was a horrible name, Lovelace really took the cake
It’s so funny me because everyone has problems with the grammar and inconsistencies (that usually bothers me too) but almost every single character was so horrid that I can’t even be mad at things not lining up😂
First of all, Lovie was horrid. She was not qualified for the job she took. She was doing too much and putting herself where she should not. And when she said I’m gonna get these guys to the Stanley cup finals.. as if they weren’t there the year before. She also constantly nagged Harrison about not having the time for his players to do his program for underprivileged players.. yet she took the players whenever she wanted.. to do whatever the fuck she wanted. Make it make sense😀
Also the author trying to force Harrison to forgive his cheating ex wife and best friend. Disgusting. Leave the man alone, holy shit
Lovie’s family were the best people in the book, it’s crazy how different she was than them. She made me want to ram my head through a wall
This is another book in the Pucking Daddies Series. If you like age-gap romances, you’ll love this one. Harrison is the Coach for the Baltimore Blue Crabs Hockey Team and a gorgeous silver fox. They met at the airport and end up sitting next to each other and eventually join the ‘mild high club’. She’s horrified when she starts her new job as a consultant for the Baltimore Blue Crabs Hockey Team and finds out he’s the coach. He has no interest in a relationship or children. He’s still processing the affair between his now ex wife and best friend. Their chemistry was off the charts and he agrees to help her with her mission to have a child. But she must abandon the fertility clinic and do it the old fashion way. Some drama, angst and soul searching but eventually an HEA and no cliffhanger. Cute, likable characters and a well developed story line. I read a free arc via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.
Mile High Coach is a spicy age-gap hockey romance that begins in the sky for MFC Lovie Waters as a first class mile high encounter with a silver fox, the same silver fox she meets the first day of a new job with the Baltimore Blue Crabs as their director of player development. MMC Harrison Clark is the just as surprised coach, and is also now intrigued by this little twist of fate. Lovie can’t afford to lose the job because of their little indiscretion, and swears him to secrecy. She needs the money for her dad’s medical costs, and her own IVF treatments. Their story is loaded with fun, especially when Harrison finds out about Lovie’s sperm donor quest, and volunteers his services. Loved the drama, personal vulnerability, family dynamics, and emotion that blended together in a rich and perfect matchup of wonderful writing, and great characters, who delivered an amazingly good read. HEA.

Mile High coach by Mia Mara is a story about Lovie who goes to work for a hockey team as an analyst to improve their game. Her dad needs help with his medical bills and the salary is good. She also wants a baby and is exploring IVF. Harrison is the team's coach and meets her on the airplane. They don't know they are going to to be connected at work. Harrison volunteers to impregnate her the "natural" way. What follows is a growing romance between the two until they are found out and it becomes a publicity issue This is a sweet and delightful romance to brighten your day. Mia Mara writes characters with depth and a well written story that is always enjoyable. Her side characters are also interesting and help to round out the main characters. She builds a great world around hockey. I am not much of a hockey person, or even a sports person but this is definitely a book I recommend.

The vibes between Lovie and Harrison are electric when they first see each other at the airport. It doesn’t change when they realize that they will be working together. He resist her ideas about his team. He reminds her that he is the head coach. They bounce back and for with a push and pull attitude when it comes to the team routine . It is entertaining at best. I enjoy how they can’t keep their hands and eyes off each other. It’s a moving love story. It also has closure for some of the other characters such as her father, his ex- best friend and his ex- wife. I throughly enjoyed this book even if it did have a cliffhanger at the end. What were the results in the envelope- not that it mattered to Harrison- big sigh; swoon worthy moments.

Lovie is a consultant who uses data to help companies optimize performance. In this case, she is helping the Baltimore Blue Crabs optimize performance on the ice and on the business side. Basically, getting on Coach Harrison Clark's last nerve considering she was studying up on hockey when they met at the airport making their way to Baltimore.
When Harrison offers to help Lovie get pregnant the traditional method, can a contract prevent them from catching feelings?
Overall, this story has a nice build-up that was not overly drawn out but wasn't unrealistic considering the obstacles the leads needed to work through.

This is such an awesome book and you need to check it out!!
I love how Harrison sees Lovie “Her sharp, exacting stare, the tone of her voice—she sounds like a mix between a CEO and an angry librarian”. Lovie see past Harrison’s surface as a silver to his deep need to care for her as well as share every moment with Lovie. Sometimes Lovie gets distracted with work but Harrison is there to take care of her, to feed her, and give her the support, love and attention she needs,
I love the idea of their baby making contract but was sad to read about section 2B. You need to get this book to find out more. Do it, you know you wanna!!
What a storyline!!!! How beautiful characters!!!! What a great story!!! Hockey, love, struggles, health, and ... and.... just so fabulous. For some reason I like hockey stories and have thus read a bunch of them but earnestly I think this is the best that I have read in this genre!!! If there were 10 stars available this story would get them all but there are only five stars available, so all five go to this story.

I really liked this book Mile High Coach by Mia Mara. Mia is such a amazing author she writes in a way that makes you feel everything in the story. These two had chemistry that jumped off the page. I was stressed out thinking they weren’t going to end up together. Every part of this book was wonderful! I tried to read slow because I loved the story so much I didn’t want it to end. This book is a page turner don’t start it unless you have time to finish the book. It’s that good! I highly recommend this author and this book!
Once I started to read this PHENOMENAL romance book I was hooked and even found myself taking my kindle to bed with me because I had to know how the romance between Harrison and Lovie turns out. I will say that Harrison and Lovie are WOW as well as this romance book right here by Mia. So now I need an iced coffee to get my day started since it was a late night of reading one heck of a 10-star romance book right here.
Harrison and Lovie have a hookup on an airplane before they find out they will be working together. He discovers that she wants a baby and he offers to be the provider of half the DNA, providing they can make the baby the old-fashioned way. The story was steamy and deliciously over the top. I liked the characters, particularly the FMC, and felt that she was relatable.

This silver fox connects with Lovie at the airport and gives new meaning to mile high. They connect again when she realizes that they will be working with each other and learns about her wanting to have a child and volunteers to be the sperm donor but in the old-fashioned way. This story had me all caught up in Lovie and Harry as they charted their course to happiness.

"It started with the mile high club with a silver fox stranger."
Well, well, well! There was no way I could resist! The very first sentence of the blurb! Nabbed! And, held until the very last page! I would have even enjoyed a longer flight! LOL
Getting pregnant the old-fashioned way! Will she agree to a contract?
This steamy story was un-put-down-able! I dare you to once you start!
I was hooked on this story from the very hot beginning. Harrison and Lovie meet in an airplane and share a mile high experience when they board the same plane. Just wow.
Harrison and Lovie share work experience when Lovie finds out she will be working with Harrison. This complicates the story and their ongoing work relationship.
I loved this book and enjoyed reading it so much. It is very well written and held my attention to the end.
I feel like this could have been so much more as loved the concept. Some parts just felt very rushed.
Little things really frustrated me though, particularly in the beginning like she was wearing a dress at the airport but in shorts on the plane? And that when she's debating going and sitting with him she knows his name but then magically doesn't? Little things like that really take me out of the story.
Disappointed with this as I quite enjoyed the other books in the series.
it wasn’t a bad book per se, the pacing was a little eh but my only problem and it’s a personal one trust me is the not communicating trope. i can’t stand it. a 30 something and 50 something year old can’t communicate when shi hits the fan? yeah it’s an ick. but it’s a personal preference some ppl like the tension and yearning, personally i just think it’s a cry for therapy but hey that’s just my opinion
I thought that this book was deliciously yummy. I loved the whole age gap/forbidden element of Lovie and Harrison's romance. Their chemistry was super spicy and the sparks they generated were fiery! The tension and pull of attraction are lush and irresistible as these two engage in a dance of desire and emotion that will melt your heart and have you feeling the heat.
Fantastic storyline and characters and great hockey sports romance! I absolutely loved every minute of this story. The chemistry between Lovie and Harrison is chef's kiss. My favourite read by this amazing author. Absolute gem of a read!! Can’t wait to see what this author brings out next. Happy reading
