Motivation and action steps!
An outstanding book for those who realize they need a side hustle but lack the understanding of the mechanics to make it happen. It goes through everything. It starts by helping us know that each of us needs to create an independent source of income. Trading time for money is not a path to financial freedom or even stability in the ever-changing world. Then, step by step, he walks us through the process of achieving the income we need along a demarcated path. He prioritized the steps we needed to take and walked us through them. He explains what we must do next and why it’s vital now, shows the required time involvement, and even recommends what tools to use. This is an excellent floor plan for the financially free house you dream of building. The book’s premise is that each of us has skills or experience that are marketable to people who lack them, but I feel Shawn Mayo’s marketing expertise and approach applies to most with an idea. My heart agrees with his never-wavering focus on delivering value. I plan to use his advice myself and recommend this book to my sons.

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I first picked up this book. It seems like this subject had been well covered by every influencer and their friend already. But I will be the first to admit, I was wrong, and therefore, pleasantly surprised. There are lists. Lots and lots of lists. This may not sound super exciting, but they are super duper helpful. They cover all the many possibilities that are out there. They help you figure out how to use your own skills to find your side hustle. They also offer very actionable steps on how to start your side hustle which is super important as, at least for me, I get super overwhelmed and don’t know where the heck to Start. It also, and this may seem like a bad word to you, but it mentions AI and how to utilize it. Pandora’s box has been opened when it comes to generative AI. It’s not going away. So it’s time for all of us to come to terms and figure out how to make it work for us so we aren’t left behind in this bold new world.
