THE LEAD-IN TO NEXT MONTH'S GAME-CHANGING EVENT! With Z*E*R*O on his heels, Doug Ramsey, A.K.A. REVELATION, arrives in Alaska for the X-Men's help! Beset on all sides, the X-Men could use a powerful new ally - but Revelation is not just an old friend, he's the Heir of Apocalypse! And what new age could such an alliance usher in...?
This is what ALL X-titles should have been after the fall of Krakoa! I cannot express my joy at reading this. I hope Revelation of X keeps up this level of storytelling.
Mostly a good story with some pretty good art. This version of the X-Men seems to be veering into Uncanny X-Force territory, namely a gray team that does things outside of the standard rules of super-heroes. For an era that wanted to distance itself from the Age of Krakoa, this era of stories seems to invoke concepts from Krakoa a lot, as Magik does here, reminding Cyclops that she was a captain of Krakoa. A very important issue for Age of Revelation, and if you are going to read that crossover, this issue is a must-read.
