I WANTED MORE! In fact I'm going to look for more books by this author ... the romance was REALLY subtle. - And maybe I was expecting too much considering the AN like I thought it'd be an explosion of well ... if not LOVE at least like some warm fuzzies but we don't really get that.
Man ML does NOT value his life. And there's a bit too much deus ex machina imo [literally no explanation of how her sister just magically appears, esp when Chenlou or whatever LITERALLY BURIED HER CORPSE like before the book starts so ...] - or the beginning was kinda ... whut? And I ... at times think the ~translator might've missed c/p-ing the translation of whatever she was using... *sigh*
Nevertheless - interesting plot and characters, I wish there was more character development/focus.
I'll be thinking about this book more I imagine - interesting to come across a FL who is ... essentially a bad person. ML definitely fell harder imo ... although FL is VERY possessive like as soon as he's her person she'll tear the world apart for him.
:X to their omg parenting style though 😱 [lol and it :X kinda seems like they also spawned bad people...]
I like that ML could be either good or bad/obviously he was both/everyone was, but I mean, he could be either EXTREMELY noble ... or he could be BAD - and he was ... fine going either way, really. [Although imo he leaned more to the former considering how much he was trying to save the world and how easily he sacrificed himself constantly, and didn't care about his own reputation etc for the bigger picture....]
I really liked these two.
