She used to chase him. Watched from her window. Broke into his home. Pushed every limit until the cold, controlled man next door finally snapped—and shattered her heart. She thought it was over. That she could erase him, piece her pride back together, and move on. But he won’t let her.
Now he’s the one watching. Obsessing. Hunting her the way she once hunted him. The stalked has become the stalker— and he’s just as twisted.
He tried to keep her out of his darkness. But now, he’ll tear it all apart—because it’s her he wants, and he’ll stop at nothing to have her again. Even if it means staying on his knees for the rest of his life
Loved these two unhinged people. They definitely belong together.
I liked the twist on things here. Lola is the pursuer and while I usually hate when the woman goes after the man I enjoyed it here because she’s a bit of a psycho. She’s the stalker and the only thing she wants is Mikhail. She follows him, learns his schedule to make sure she is wherever he is and she puts cameras in his apartment. I was giggling so much when this was happening. I would have felt embarrassed by her obsession if it wasn’t for the fact that he wanted her just as much. He just didn’t show it outwardly…at the beginning. He acts indifferent towards her, like he couldn’t care less if she were around. But once we get to his POV we see that is not the case at all!!
Then it all flipped. When Lola overhears him saying some awful things about her while he’s on the phone she’s no longer obsessed with him. He says these things to protect her but he in no way feels that way about her, he felt gutted after saying them. But she doesn’t care because she’s not someone who forgives. So in turn we now have him stalking her, utterly obsessed with her. This man grovels for literally the entire book. He messes up early on, I think about 30% and then spends the whole rest of the time showing Lola how she is his everything. I loved it.
The only thing for me was we didn’t see them together long enough at the beginning before he started his grovel. This is pretty much instalove and they speak like they’ve been together for years when in fact we only see them have a couple interactions before they talk about loving each other. It would have been better executed if we saw them together more before the fall out.
The fall out doesn’t last long. While she doesn’t “forgive” him she still spends time with him while making him grovel so they aren’t really separated at all. I did think the grovel went on a little longer than needed only because this man worked for it and also he had no bad intentions towards her at all.
I did love them together though they matched each others crazy and were so obsessed with each other. I however lost some respect for Lola for how she treated Ayla toward the end. Ayla doesn’t deserve an ounce of hatred that was thrown her way and if it’s anyone’s fault it was Roman and Mikhail’s. So I’m gonna need an apology from her in the next book if I’m being honest.
I’m super intrigued by the next one but I did not like Roman. Ms. Black, after reading the chapter from the next book I’m going to need you to make Roman get on his knees for Ayla. He is an absolute asshole and the way he treated her I’m going to need him to grovel 1000 times more than Mikhail did. Please I beg you. Because anything less and he will not earn my forgiveness.
NO CHEATING LIGHT OM drama (completely unfounded because both are possessive but nothing happens. Also Lola sees a cleaner going into his apartment but thinks she’s there to hook up with him, he doesn’t touch her and she’s only the family cleaner and nothing has ever happened between them. Mikhail would NEVER touch another woman) NO THIRD ACT BREAK UP AGE GAP 22/32 NO VIRGINS (Lola has had several sexual encounters and we don’t hear anything about Mikhails past at all but definitely not a manwhore) STRONG FMC GROVEL MURDER BRATVA LIGHT HEA (engaged)
Could’ve been worse, could’ve been better, but it kept me entertained in my mini slump.
“You’re trouble,” “And you like trouble.”
Mikhail and Lola are equally unhinged, over the top, and down bad for each other. She stalks him, and he’s totally okay with that. I liked the premise a lot. I’m always down for a mafia romance, but this one fell short for me.
It felt way too insta-love. I think by 25%, she already said she loved him. It fits how crazy obsessed she is, but still… not for me. Mikhail’s character felt like he had 284 personalities, and I never knew which one we were getting. It felt very hard to connect with him.
Key points I did love: stalker FMC, the man grovels for her, and they’d both burn the world down for each other.
“You were made for me.” “And you were made to handle me.”
I’m unsure if I’ll continue with Ronan’s book. The author jumps too quickly from one thing to the next, and it gave me whiplash. But it was a fun read.
-safety : - safe, no cheating, no op after meeting. - owd : just a misunderstanding, he had a cleaning lady come over and Lola thought it was a hook up. - no virgins, both experienced
ngl this was a bit of a bummer after 35% and the main reason why it took me so long to finish it.my rating is solely based on the first half of the book because it's the only part i enjoyed. and even near the end i was ready to give it 3 /4 stars untill Lola decided to become a bitch and terrorize a poor girl for something she had 0 control over
Lola was much more interesting when she was being an obsessive stalker, for once i didn't mind the fmc pursing the mmc because he was just as into it as her. he was just better at hiding it. Lola was fun and hilarious at first i loved her antics and the shit she pulled. they were both so OTT for each other and i was eating it up.
but as soon as shit hit the fan when she heart him talk badly about her ( to protect her ), both Characters kinda lost their charm, but i did like how they switched roles Mikhail became the stalker who can't hide his obsession while Lola became indifferent and better at hiding her feelings due to hurt.
now do I think what he did was so THAT BAD ? no. i understand Lola's initial hurt over what she heard and her reaction to it was very valide. BUT after he explained that he did it to keep her away from the fucking bratva she had no reason to stay that mad. and he didn't even say anything irredeemable, i was like Lola girl you're being too much right now. she pulled one of the things that i hate the most in betrayal/ grovel books, which is being mad / hurt while still having sex with him, personally i hate that. if you're mad stay fucking mad. what is the point in being like " i hate you, you hurt me but here's my vagina for you to use".
note : might skip Roman's book unless there is an epic grovel and Lola isn't in it after the shit she pulled 🙄🙄
3.5 Stars 2026 I enjoy this one, it almost hit the spot for me but the continuity issue is annoying, nothing big but still takes me out of the story once in a while.
The grovelling is so good and the FMC did not forgive too easily. I also like the MMC was cold in the beginning but was down so bad for her. The safe angst is the best angst out there. I honestly would have like to read some more about the stalking and less about the bratva stuff, like it could turn out to be a game between them.
I’m still unsure whether or not I like this book. I was just minding my business fully immersed in the storyline then WHAM 41% I’m getting whiplash.
Tell me why it went from her stalking him, him encouraging her unhinged behaviour, them having a passionate night to shit hitting the fan & her feeling like the love of her life betrayed her. I’m sorry what?? I felt like I missed a whole chunk of storyline that mentioned the development of their weirdo relationship. I wasn’t aware this was insta-love! Yes stalker shit but not this fast.
I’m still hanging on at this point cause this book has me hooked, so then the story gets more unhinged if you believe it. These characters are freaking messy, very blood thirsty little shits and the type to burn down the world for the other. So now I’m left feeling confused since there are parts of the story that I enjoyed but also parts that I didn’t understand cause like I said the development of their relationship wasn’t there.
If I was asked whether I’d recommend this book my answer would be maybe🤷🏽♀️ it’s a take it or leave it kinda thing.
Do I have a new obsession? Oh yes I do! First of all, she's the st*lker, she's the obsessed one and she'll do whatever it takes to have him. It was honestly such a good change to see the FMC being in charge and obsessed instead of always it being the MMC. I loved Lola and how she was unequivocally her. She was proud of who she was and did not feel embarrassed or shameful for going after what she wanted. I also absolutely loved how she made him grovel and didn't forgive him until she was ready for it. Mikhail was also amazing, the broody, quiet and secretive next door neighbor, who had more to hide than anyone thought. After realizing what Lola meant to him, he was ready to burn the world down for her. He literally begged on his knees for her and was ready to do it all for her. And the spice, hotttt damnn! The pent up tension, the chemestry between these two had me melting and begging for more! 😮💨 I seriously loved every single thing about this book and it left me wanting more! I can't wait to see what comes next, I'm so ready for Roman's story!!
If you’re looking for a romance with character development, emotional depth, or literally anything resembling a healthy dynamic — keep walking. This book took “unhinged” as a challenge and sprinted with it.
We’ve got stalking (from both sides), assault repackaged as chemistry, and a whirlwind “relationship” that somehow hits ten years of dysfunction in under 48 hours. The plot? Think: chaos on fast-forward. The emotional arc? Nonexistent. It’s like watching two unstable people play tag with trauma.
And just when you think, “Surely someone in this mess has a moral compass,” the brother shows up — and somehow he’s just as cracked as the rest. Business partnerships are handed out like party favors, even after screaming matches and what can only be described as felony bonding.
There is nothing romantic, redeeming, or remotely coherent about this story. I finished it out of stubbornness and now I want a refund on my time, my brain cells, and my faith in dark romance.
Edit 2: okay so i just read the sneak peek of Romans book and i hate him. I don’t see myself forgiving him unless the grovel is THAT GOOD, probably wont even read it.
Edit: taking one star of cause lola pissed me off in the last few chapters. She was a bitch to Ayla for no reason, getting mad at her and her family when she was the kidnapped one like girl calm down.
Will definitely read Roman’s book if he isn’t a manwhore and she isn’t a virgin🤞🏼
What was that. I found this book from TikTok expecting an interesting play on a reversed trope. But the first couple pages, I was confused, the formatting of the paragraphs, the way it was edited..
I kept reading as the book was mind numbing enough to be a filler book, until my next novel. It felt like something straight out of Wattpad, but 2025 AI approved edition.
It had some intriguing concepts throughout the book, that kept the book moving, but a lot felt very cliche, and copy and pasted from somewhere.
“Beautifully Deranged” is the story of Lola and Mikhail.
Dual obsession and stalking in this tale with two unhinged leads. Loads of sex, drama and mafia trope, however the second half dragged as the heroine was refusing to get over the issue.
I don’t read a lot of dark romance but I like it best when both main characters are equally insane for each other. This was not a healthy relationship but it was obsessed, burn the world down, light myself on fire kind of love. A solid good time.
took yearning to another level.. need my men to always surprise me a little bit of like they're going to send me to the sych ward n it's not giving that ...
I really enjoyed the beginning, when Lola thought she was sneaky even though Mikhail knew exactly what she was up to. The mafia stuff in the second half didn’t work as well for me, but overall this was still an entertaining read.
ARC Read Thoughts : Lola is the most b@da$$ FMC I’ve read in a while. She is psychotic in a calm, cool, collected way. Almost subtle, but not. Mikhail is obsessed to but, he hides it for a while. And when they come together… fireworks!!! Can’t wait for Roman and Ayla’s story!

⚠️⚠️⚠️spoilers - whole story*** Lola is a 22 y/o aspiring artist living in NY. She is obsessed with her neighbor Mikhail. She hates her father (he che@ted on her mother while she was d¥ing of cancer, in her face too). Her father keeps her bank rolled because of appearances. Lola is also a master manipulator, learning from an early age to make sure no one tells her no. Mikhail is the brother of the Bratva Pakhan, Roman. He has tried to stay out of the Bratva, wanting something else in life but not knowing what. Lola stalks Mikhail, putting cameras in his apartment, following him. Mikhail knows the whole time. But he tries to keep his distance because he doesn’t want to bring her in that life. Lola has a darkness to her that he still wants to keep her in the light. Roman wants to use Lola’s artistry skills in his plans. Mikhail doesn’t. He tells Roman she is nothing to him, just a convenience. Lola over hears and leaves. She ignores Mikhail and he cants stand that. He inserts himself as much as he can. Lola does the art thing for Roman, and Mikhail learns she put a hit on her dad when she was younger, and poi$ons him giving him cancer, but he survived. Mikhail realizes she is just as dark as he is. He loves her even more. Mikhail gets sh0t in a war Roman started over Ayla (girl he nabbed from the Turks). Lola gives up keeping him away and professes her love saying where he goes she goes. Epilogue shows they are standing together. But mentions Ayla and Roman are married! SQUEAL! Can’t wait for their book!

I really tried with this one because I secretly love an obsessed stalker romance (especially when it’s the fmc) but only when they’re done well - this had potential at the start, but about halfway through when she still hadn’t forgiven him I started to lose the plot.
It’s my last day of holiday and I’d rather find something that can keep my focus while waiting at the airport/on the plane.
I have never and I mean ever read a book this twisted in all the best ways 🫠. Lola is such a complex and open character ready to fight for what she wants and burn those who stand in her way. Mikhail oh Mikhail, unhinged. Utterly and completely unhinged 🫣. Bratva royalty who will stop at nothing to protect Lola from the darkness of his world but she's already tainted and thrives on it. Lola and Mikhail's obsession with each other is what soulmates truly are, their relationship is dark and twisted binding them together for life. They breathe the same air and their hearts beat the same. Nothing and no one is spared when it comes to their relationship and each others safety. May a love like this never find me but god to I LOVE this book. 💕
This was first introduction to Nova Black and now I will be waiting on pins and needles for Roman and Ayla's story. (🤫Do not tell anyone but I hope it more twisted that this one.....which I am almost positive it will be)
I applaud anyone who read this with a straight face. I laughed so hard at the ridiculousness of it. But somehow I have a feeling that the author didn't plan for this to be a comedy. But I gotta admit I was really entertained so I am giving 3 stars for the effort.
You have to read this book. No I mean seriously, if you’re wondering then here’s your answer. Take a seat So, I didn’t know Nova black and mind you this is my first impression of you but baby consider me IMPRESSED. As some of you may know, if you scroll through my reviews, I love dark romance books. The stalking, the morally grey mmc, the tension, yeah gimme all of that and I’m in. So when I read the prologue I was like OKAY GIRL, we’re into something here. And it didn’t disappoint!!!! Lola, my fierce beautiful smart lovely girl, she is a badass. She knewwwwwww what she wanted and she got it. I really loved her attitude. I liked mikhail too obv and he’s husband material like for REAL. *MINI SPOILER* the way he told her father to leave the apartment oh boyyyyyy he stood on business. He groveled like he should. Kinda reminded me of Rafe but guys he kneeled. I loved the tension, the chemistry between these two. Unhinged. I wish I had more words to describe how much I liked this book but I’m so bad at this so yeah just trust me and read it.

I am honestly speechless after reading this book, The mafia plot is like no other! It's different, provocative, and absolutely perfect!
Lola is not your typical sweet and innocent FMC, she is fierce, bold, strong, and deranged. Her obsession is what makes her unique. The way this woman made him grovel was epic, I will never forget.
Mikhail is just as unhinged as Lola When he finally accepts his attraction to Lola, it's explosive, passionate, and steamy. This man walked through hell and back for her forgiveness, never complained or gave up. He is perfect!
This book is a masterpiece, and I devoured it in a matter of hours! The plot, the twists, the flow, and the spice were so well balanced, I just couldn't put this book down. I can't wait to read the next one!
This book is seriously under-hyped. I adore a psycho FMC and a feral-for-her MMC. The groveling was perfection. I love that she didn't immediately forgive. My only real complaint, I wish we got more. More beginning, middle, and end. I can see where the next book is leading but I want more of Lola and Misha!
